Final War

ArticleSource revision

The Final War was the final confrontation between the Heroes and the Villains to determine the fate of Japan and the world.

Prologue#

With Tomura Shigaraki almost completely healed from his fight with Star and Stripe, and the All For One Quirk accumulating into his body, All For One prepares to finally pull the trigger on his endgame to steal One For All from Izuku Midoriya, thus giving them the power necessary to finally assume world domination. His first step is to make use of Class 1-A student Yuga Aoyama, his secret mole, to lure Izuku to a disclosed, isolated location so that he may be ambushed with a lot of Villains he's amassed from his breakout.

What All For One didn't know was that Yuga's ploy is discovered by Izuku and he is captured and interrogated by the Heroes and his classmates. Realizing he is a victim forced against his will into fulfilling All For One's orders, Izuku suggests they use Yuga's connection to All For One in order to lure the Villain out of hiding. This leads Eraser Head to come up with an idea that can make use of this revelation, and give them the chance to fight the Villains on their own terms and defeat them once and for all.

The Plan#

The first part of Eraser Head's plan involves luring All For One to a specific location, making Yuga appear to betray Izuku as bait. The Heroes determine that All For One possesses some ability that allows him to detect lies from individuals, even through voice, and figure they need to work around this so that he doesn't suspect Yuga or his parents of fowl play. Eraser Head decides to employ his protégé, Hitoshi Shinso, as through training he has allowed his Brainwashing Quirk to let him order his brainwashed victims to speak, and use this ability on the Aoyamas to allow them to speak with All For One without him able to detect any malicious intent.

The second part of the plan is devised by the "Counter-Force" team, led by All Might, which is to split the Villains up divide-and-conquer style so that they are unable to cooperate amongst themselves. This phase is achievable thanks to Eraser Head's suggestion of using Neito Monoma to Copy the contained Kurogiri's Warp Gate Quirk, giving the Heroes the ability to create numerous portals to anywhere in Japan which the Villains can be teleported to. This also allows the Heroes to catch All For One off guard after they successfully lure him out of hiding, knowing that he can use the Search Quirk to determine their locations. Once the Villains are in placed, Neito would be using his Copied Warp-Gate to teleport many Villains to areas that are designed to defeat them with individuals who are assigned to suppress them.

The third part of the plan is to have all the Heroes who were able to defeat the individual Villains come to U.A. to finally finish off the remaining threat: Tomura Shigaraki himself.

Early Battles#

Battle of the Coffin in the Sky#

In order to detain Tomura Shigaraki, deemed the most dangerous threat by far of the Villains, the Heroes decide to transform the already fortified U.A. High into a Flying Sky Fortress, also known as a "Coffin In The Sky", to keep him encased within. Thanks to the ingenuity of Mei Hatsume and the Development Course, they design the structure to combat Tomura's Decay, as the affected pieces are ejected which would allow them to Decay safely in the air. Repairs would also be done on the fly by the Development Course and various U.A. staff and students maintaining the structure, with additional supplies provided by Momo Yaoyorozu. A team of electric users also not only provide the power to keep the building running, but as well encase the fortress in an electric barrier, to prevent Tomura from escaping.[1]

For further reassurance, Eraser Head and Neito copying the Erasure Quirk will provide backup to erase Tomura's Quirks due to Eraser Head's injuries from the previous war. All this to allow Izuku to fight Tomura face-to-face, backed up by a team of Heroes led by Best Jeanist. As planned, Tomura is teleported alone to U.A., but the failure of the plan occurs when Deku was dragged into a different portal by Himiko Toga and ending up on Okuto Island, two hundred kilometers off the mainland.[1][2]

What's even more worse was that "Tomura" begins to transform into a grotesque amalgamation of fingers, catches the heroes completely off guard, as he has never displayed such an ability previously, and before they can react, "Tomura" attacks the Heroes with it.[3]

The new abilities were a part of a natural growth of his body, similar to the growth of nails or hair, as his body is adapting and mutating to accommodate the power inside him, an outcome predicted in Dr. Kyudai Garaki's Quirk Singularity theory.

Because Neito can't use two Quirks simultaneously, and each of innumerable growing spreading fingers that sprout from "Tomura"'s arm has the potential to use Decay, Deku will have to get to U.A. on his own. Until then, the heroes strive for victory against "Tomura", even without One For All.[4]

The heroes throw everything they got at Tomura: Edgeshot's Pulp-Thread Throttle, Dynamight's "Suppressive Heavy Mobile Unit: Strafe Panzer to power up his Howitzer Impact: Cluster, Nejire Hado's Nejire Wave Pike, Tamaki Amajiki's Octopus Mirage and Scorpius Toxin combo followed by his Plasma Cannon, Best Jeanist's Blackout Bind, Rumi Usagiyama's Luna Rush; Mirio Togata's Permeation, and still, Tomura won't drop dead.

After Tomura destroyed his support item and crushing his right arm, Dynamight still continues to fight to the bitter end, even when he was starting to develop a new ability of his Quirk. Eventually, Tomura successfully kills Katsuki by landing the fatal blow to his chest, bursting Dynamight's heart and sending him flying. The heroes are all shocked beyond belief by what has happened. Best Jeanist is the first to reach him, only to scream out at Dynamight's heart, as his bloodied corpse lies lifeless on the ground with a hole in his chest.[5]

All the Heroes were horrifically devastated to realize that they had lost one of their own again, and "Tomura" asserts that this time, Dynamight is "well and truly dead", proceeding to taunt to Eraser Head about it, mocking that he turned out quite a letdown for standing on the sidelines while his student fought in his place, making him responsible for his demise. He then asks the remaining Heroes who wants to be another corpse for Deku, as he holds Mirko in the air while ripping her prosthetic arm with his mass of fingers.

While Mirko and Lemillion continue to struggle against "Tomura", Best Jeanist keeps watch over Dynamight's body, when a battered Edgeshot approaches them, intending to save the boy's life. Since he has a deep understanding of the human body, he intends to use his Quirk to repair the internal damage, declaring Dynamight to be a life they absolutely cannot afford to lose.

Seeing this, "Tomura" says that it is useless, but Edgeshot interrupts him, screaming for Mirko to continue resisting no matter what to hold back "Tomura". Best Jeanist understands the outcome of what he's going to do and tells Edgeshot that he will probably not make it if he does. The Ninja Hero is fully aware of this and solemnly says that he leaves the rest in his hands.

Edgeshot uses his Ultimate Move, the Thousand Sheet Pierce: Zenith, to turn his body into an extremely thin and long razor-sharp thread.[6] He disinfects himself using a bubble Wash gave him before inserting himself into Dynamight's wound, stitching up his heart and any other damaged organs, performing CPR from inside his own body.

Seeing this, "Tomura" become enraged at the sight of Dynamight being helped when no one helped him back then. Enraged, he charges at them, reiterating his words. By doing this, he loses his focus on Mirko, who delivers a hard kick to his head from behind.

While all this was happening, "Tomura's" mind was filled with confusion as he didn't understand how Dynamight's previous attacks could affect him so much. It then finally dawns on him: his rage during his onslaught and the uneasiness he felt was because he felt a threat in him. After receiving Mirko's attack, the Tenko aspect of "Tomura" begins to resurface again.

Seeing the Heroes desperately continue to fight him despite being injured causes him to be overwhelmed by memories of his dead family. He feels displeased and resentful about this, because when he was just a child and needed help, no Heroes or anyone reached out a hand to him or even acknowledged him. This causes his body to start changing once again.[7]

Due to Eraser Head and Phantom Thief constantly nullifying his ability to regenerate, "Tomura"'s body begins to transform into a more compact and maneuverable form to take on the Heroes, responding to the accumulated damage and Tomura's will to destroy everything. This results in his body being covered by a mutated mass of fingers, as if it were some kind of armor in order to protect him from any threats that he's about to face, and his left arm mutated into a hulking hand with the fingers made from the faces of his family.

With his new transformation, Tomura begins to decimate every Hero who stands in his way, defeating all but Best Jeanist and Lemillion. Suddenly, Mandalay begins to transmit a telepathic message, asking to drop the electromagnetic barrier and to hold "Tomura" for at least two seconds. These words allow Lemillion to come up with a plan to distract the villain.

When "Tomura" is about to wreck Best Jeanist, Lemillion suddenly appears from below in front of him, mooning him with his butt. Such a silly technique actually works, as "Tomura" is unaware that just then, the electromagnetic barrier has opened, and Deku, clinging to the poles with Blackwhip, has finally arrived with the help of Star and Stripe's allies. When "Tomura" looks up, he and Deku make eye contact, before the young hero slingshots himself right into "Tomura"'s face with a St. Louis Smash, sending him spiraling in mid-air.[8]

Battle of Okuto Island#

To handle Himiko Toga and her penchant for Quick escapes, the Heroes choose Okuto Island, specifically the Okuto Aquarium controlled by Gang Orca, in order to isolate her and make her unable to flee. Due to having the most experience in dealing with her, Ochaco Uraraka and Tsuyu Asui are set to be the ones to personally confront Himiko.

However, Deku, on the other hand, is part of the hero team in charge of fighting exclusively against Tomura Shigaraki at U.A., now converted into a flying fortress specifically designed to neutralize his powers. Everything seems to go well, until Himiko manages to catch him off guard with one of her tubs from her Blood Sucking Machine, dragging him into her portal before it closes. This causes Deku to end up at Okuto Aquarium, hundreds of miles from where he should be.

The battle between the Heroes and the Villains immediately erupts into chaos, as one of the Near High-Ends floats in the air, separates its limbs from its body and breaks them down into shards that are then launched at the Heroes, causing shockwaves across the battlefield and splitting up many of the combatants. As Gang Orca's Sidekicks fight some of weaker villains, Gang Orca uses a hypersonic wave to knock down the villains, and tells his allies to not back down, as the Nomu begins to regenerate its body.

One of the Heroes suspects All For One gave them more Quirks, before Moonfish unleashes a wave of Blade-Tooths against the heroes, forcing them further on the defensive. The blades stab Gang Orca, but he is able to rip off the blades and tells his comrades to not forget about the escaped convicts.[4]

Using the combination of Float and Fa Jin, Deku is able to escape the island, leaving Himiko to contend with Ochaco and Tsuyu.[9]

As the war continues on, storm clouds caused by Shoto, Dabi, and Endeavor's flames in their respective battlefields begin making their way to the island. The other Heroes sent there are able to join the two trainees against Himiko, cornering her.

Meanwhile, Gang Orca's sidekicks are able to chain the Nomu creating shockwaves as it finishes another attack. Gang Orca realizes that this Nomu doesn't have a Super Regeneration Quirk, and lunges at the floating monster with a head-butt and an ultrasonic wave. The villains' numbers have thinned, as the team is defeating them one by one.

With their numbers dwindling, Himiko realizes that the more people they lose on their side, the less likely she'll be able to avoid capture. Fortunately for her, Spinner's mission to break Kurogiri out of Central Hospital succeeds, as a Warp Gate appears above her. She hurriedly taking out the last vital of Twice's Double blood and drinks it, allowing her to transform into Twice. Kurogiri is able to warp the duplicates of Twice across the battlefield, but with Himiko out of the island, Ochaco and Tsuyu give chase after her through the Warp Gate.

Sometime after Uravity, Froppy, and Himiko leave the battlefield, the rest of the Heroes are able to bring down the remaining villains, and the Doubles all disintegrate after Himiko's transforming time runs up. During the conflict with the Nomu, Gang Orca ended up breaking his dorsal fin, and Sirius tends to him, while the Counter-Force reports in to notify that the island is under the Heroes' control.[10]

Battle of Kamino#

The Heroes decide to send Dabi to Kamino, the Ground Zero site of All Might's battle with All For One, with Shoto Todoroki volunteering as the one to personally deal with his brother, at his father's behest. The Flaming Sidekickers are assigned to assist him in dealing with the Blueflame user, with several more Heroes set to deal with any accompanying threats caught by the trap.

Nonetheless, Dabi was a very dangerous villain to deal with, especially with his Blueflame Quirk causing havoc amongst the Heroes. Dabi uses his Blueflame Quirk to generate an intense flaming tornado visible for miles away, isolating Shoto inside a personalized battlefield, and keeping most of the heroes and villains away due to the intense heat. Only the Flaming Sidekickers manage to withstand it and stand by Endeavor's third son.

Outside the giant fire, the Nomu takes down several heroes with spikes it spawns from its body, completely unconcerned by the flames. Tenya Ida is unable to interfere due to the high heat threatening to damage his Engine Quirk. Inside the flames, Dabi begins to increase the power of his flames, not caring that by doing so his body will reduced to a crisped husk, reaching temperatures that melt the All Might statue on which he stands on. Shoto understands that Dabi has been prepared to die from the start, as both brothers prepare their respective Quirks to perform Flashfire techniques.[11]

The increasingly combusting Dabi attacks Shoto with his own version of Flashfire Fist: Hell Spider, unleashing chaotic fire spirals that ravage the battlefield outside their personal duel in the flaming tornado. The heroes try to avoid the flaming slashes as best they can. The Flaming Sidekickers manage to protect Shoto using their respective Quirks, and Onima asks him if he's ready yet. Shoto replies he is, but at that moment Dabi appears behind him. Hell Spider was just a feint to allow Dabi to get close enough to his brother to melee him with a flame blast punch before finishing him off with a point-blank Jet Burn that launches Shoto high into a nearby skyscraper.

However, Shoto is barely hurt, having neutralized his flaming blows with his own powers in equilibrium thanks to his Flashfire Fist: Phosphor, which harmonized the extreme temperatures of his two sides to allow him to use both of his Quirks throughout his body.[12]

He then uses Icebound Crash - Coldflame's Pale Blade to cool Dabi down and have him thrown backwards by the impact. Dabi manages to recover by shooting pillars of flame from his hands to balance himself up, Dabi unleashes the full power of his Quirk, and forces a Hell Minefield to send mainstays of blazes rising up from the ground, heading right towards Shoto. The heat from the flames is so intense that they even manage to burn Shoto, but Burnin, Kido, and Onima jump forward and use their Quirks to protect Shoto, giving him enough time to defeat Dabi with Great Glacial Aegir, a gigantic wave of cold fire that shoots directly through his brother's chest, completely extinguishing the flames in the area and freezing every nearby building. Dabi's body was lifeless as he fell on top of Shoto.[13]

Burnin announces to the entire ward that Dabi is down, motivating them to take down the remaining Nomu and Villains. While some Heroes take care of the wounded and the defeated villains, the rest concentrate their efforts on defeating the Nomu who is still a dangerous foe and the only way they have to defeat it is to take advantage of their numerical superiority to overwhelm it.

News of Shoto's victory over Dabi reaches the Heroes' command center, who send the news to the remaining battlefields to motivate the remaining forces in their fight against the villains. Then, when it seemed that he had been defeated, Dabi attacks again and this time with even more firepower, catching everyone off guard.

As it turns out, right before Shoto covered him in ice, Dabi had managed to replicate his Phosphor move in his own way, protecting himself just before being encased in ice. As a result, he has resisted it and raises the power of his Quirk to a new level.

Dabi calls out to Skeptic, who replies from a device set inside the Nomu's neck. He informs him that he is currently fighting All For One at the Gunga Villa Ruins.[14]

Dabi wants to go to Gunga to meet his father, but due to the distance that separates them, he is aware that his body will not take it anymore if he sticks to his plan of defeating his little brother first, so he decides to stop fighting and fly directly towards Gunga, using his feet as jets.

Right on cue, thanks to Spinner's mission to break Kurogiri out of Central Hospital succeeding, a Warp Gate appears above him and teleports Dabi directly to his destination.[15]

Shoto wants to go after Dabi, but Tenya warns him he hasn't recovered from using Phosphor yet, which has taken a toll on his body. The two suddenly receive a call in their earpieces from All Might, who tells them to run to Gunga, informing them about Dabi's impending nuclear explosion, the civilians trapped there, and how Endeavor can't do anything to stop it, so it's up to them to reach to Gunga and stop Dabi.

Shoto worries that Tenya won't be able to run since his Engine has stalled, but he simply responds saying that the rain has cooled them down. Carrying Shoto on his back, Tenya uses his Ultimate Move Maximum Speed, and blasts through the city on their way to Gunga.[16]

Battle of Troy#

Operation Troy is finally put into motion. Shota has Yuga acting as the mole for All For One lure him to the open isolated area where he thought he can capture Izuku and his Quirk. Once All For One determines that no one is with him, he uses his Warping to summon an army of villains to the battlefield. However, Izuku and the Heroes were waiting for this moment, so with the help of Neito Monoma using Kurogiri's Warp Gate Quirk to send the Heroes and Villains across all of Japan in metal cages. Fat Gum is put in charge of the Heroes who stayed behind to take down any stragglers, and to protect Can't Stop Twinkling.[2]

One of the villains left behind is the Tartarus escapee Kunieda who begins to infect the battlefield with his Quirk, as flowers around them begin to sprout and the seedlings begin to infect the Heroes. The villain is able to realize that the cages were mainly used to split up the primary fighters of the villain's side, and the dregs would be improvised on in battle.[17]

With the stragglers left on the field defeated, Kunieda has turned the battlefield into his favor, completely infecting with plants. Yuga and the rest of the Troy Team were taken out by Kunieda, all except for Toru Hagakure, who was able to avoid the plant user's Quirk. With the Heroes completely incapacitated and sprouts beginning to grow out of their bodies, the Tartarus escapee hast also destroyed Yuga's belt, causing his Navel Laser leak out of his body uncontrollably; the Villain also notes that any straining on Yuga's part will only continue feeding his plants.

Determined to make up for his crimes, Yuga begins charging up an attack that shines deep within his core, and fires a scattershot barrage that seems to go behind his target, to which Kunieda initially mocks him for, but thankfully, Toru is able to show up from behind, catching the villain completely off guard. Toru is able to use a combined Warp Refraction: Navel Laser, sending it all back against the plant villain, knocking him out cold and and burning some of his flowers, releasing Yuga from their grip.[18]

Despite defeating Kunieda, the plants are still attached to the other Heroes, so Yuga and Toru clear away the deadly flower field, with Toru also finding something to cover herself, as the Counter-Force notify that their location is secured and the injured are being tended to.[10]

Battle of Central Hospital#

The Heroes know that Kurogiri is All For One's perfect Nomu who can teleport anywhere thanks to his Warp Gate Quirk, so Present Mic takes the lead to defend his friend accompanied by the remaining available Heroes and Police Force, as well as 1-A students Mezo Shoji and Koji Koda, who volunteer due to their connection to the mutant issue.

In contrast, All For One needs Kurogiri to change the outcome of the war, so he sends Spinner to lead an army of heteromorphs, consisting of members of the Paranormal Liberation Front and 150,000 heteromorph civilians who support their plight, in order to storm Central Hospital and free Kurogiri. In addition, All For One gives Spinner two additional Quirks to boost his powers: Scalemail and Body Bulk.

The heteromorph civilians and PLF members out umber the Heroes and Police Force from 150,000 to 1, overwhelming the good guys. Commanding the heteromorph army, Spinner orders his subordinates to break into the heroes' defenses and take Kurogiri back in order to destroy the status quo, for them and Tomura's sake.[17]

The battle between Spinner's followers against the forces of heroes and police continues, but soon the numerical superiority of the former begins to prevail. Present Mic jumps into the air and attacks with a Loud-Out Shout at the army, but he is shocked to see how several of the enemy soldiers act as meat shields to block most of the sound waves. A flying warrior charges at Present Mic to impale him with a trident, but luckily, Anima commands several ravens to get him out of the way.

Nearby, a group of riot policemen try to hold off a group of Spinner's army, but find themselves outnumbered and ask their squad leader to call for reinforcements. Unfortunately, he replies it's impossible and tells them to use the taser shields to push the mutants back. Several mutants begin to overwhelm Rock Lock and Anima. Here and there, despite the efforts of the heroes and policemen, the mutants continue to push and make a path for Spinner.

Spinner, however, seems to be losing himself. The Quirks that All For One gave him are taking a severe toll on his mind to the point that he is turning into a drooling brute who is barely able to utter complete sentences. Still, all that matters to him is doing as he is told and orders his followers to take Kurogiri back as he approaches a pair of defenseless officers.

Tentacole appears and unleashes an Octoblow to knock him over.[19] In response, Spinner, determined to take back Kurogiri, unleashed his Scalemail and Body Bulk at the maximum, and Spinner used his sword to slice Tentacole, while shouting at the army to press forward. Tentacole uses his Dupli-Arms to protect himself, although Spinner manages to cut off several of his replicated arms. The strike sends him flying. Nonethless, Tentacole still persists and transforms his right arm further to unleashes Octospansion, crashing through Spinner's makeship sword and seriously swiping the hulking mutant in the stomach, even through his jagged Scalemail Quirk. Mic also helps him with his Voice attack.[20].

In contrasts, Anima's new horn allows him to control a larger number of animals from a far greater radius, unleashing his Ultimate Move Hitchcock Birds to swarm on the PLF commanders.

Spinner propels himself from a building toward the Central Hospital. Held up by Anima's birds, Tentacole is shocked that Spinner has gotten even stronger despite the blow, to the point of cracking the concrete with his momentum. His followers hesitate for a moment, but then follow their leader. The policemen notice that they are more fired up and seem to deem it necessary to use firearms.

Spinner smashes through the walls of the entrance hall, tailed by several mutants.[21] Spinner continues to barrel forward, however some of the heteromorphs following him find themselves hesitating upon seeing the mutant and non-mutant doctors and nurses in the hospital joining hands to block the way to the inpatient ward, determined not to allow the lives of patients to be put at risk. Seeing the hospital staff standing guard and remembering Tentacole's words about the innocents causes the rioters stop dead in their tracks and drop their weapons to the floor.

Tentacole and Anima continue to try to hold off the rioters on the streets, preventing more of them from entering the hospital. One of the rampaging heteromorphs is about to kill Tentacole from behind, but suddenly one of his fellow members who had entered the hospital holds his weapon, causing most of the fighting to stop as everyone looks on in surprise.

As those who had followed Spinner leave the hospital without the strength to continue fighting, the pig-faced mutant who saved Tentacole says that maybe they are using their anger in the wrong way. Soon, the rest of the rioters give up the fight, some even help stop their mates, and some heroes apologize to them for not realizing their struggles. Realizing that the violent fervor of the rioters has died down, Rock Lock calls out for reinforcements to move toward the hospital.

Spinner keeps moving forward, but when he turns around, no one else is there. Present Mic arrives in the hallway, saying that Tentacole's speech has reached his followers, and that "he" won't be their ace in the hole. Approaching the tied up villain, Spinner and Mic each call out to Kurogiri and Oboro respectively.[22]

Spinner prepares to activate Kurogiri with the device that contains the vocal recordings of All For One, but Present Mic bowls Spinner over with his Voice Quirk, knocking him down for the count, additionally destroying the device. Mic worries about what to do to stop Kurogiri's release, noting that he hasn't reacted at all since that day, and wondering if he's already broken.

Lying defeated on the ground, with his body returned to normal size, Spinner starts reflecting that he has no strength left, his mind is going blank, his only means of controlling Kurogiri is gone, and none of his followers are backing him up. Spinner seems to understand that he failed to wake up Kurogiri at the last moment. He realizes that the passion got him worked up to take a stand, but in actuality, all he wanted was to help Tomura to achieve his goals.

That's when he sees that there's something else on the ground besides the broken device: the remaining charred-black hand of Tomura's that he was holding onto.

With Spinner grounded, Present Mic rushes toward Kurogiri, thinking about Oboro and telling him that their friend has lost an eye and a leg, which is why they can't lose their good memories of him. Present Mic thinks that if Oboro was not going to turn back into his past self, the best thing is for him to disappear and stay as a good memory, as he prepares to finish him off for good.

Before he can perform such unpleasant duty, Spinner manages to summon up enough strength to seize the hand and stand up. He pushes the hand onto Kurogiri's face, begging him to save Tomura. Spinner passes out after this, but his last effort were not futile. "Kurogiri" breaks free from his restraints, and he declares to Present Mic that he is "the protector of Tomura Shigaraki".[23]

Battle of Jaku Ruins#

After Gigantomachia's defeat during the Paranormal Liberation War, he was scheduled to be shipped alongside several of the high-profile villains to Tartarus. However, due to All For One's breakout from the prison, a large containment facility was built around his still unconscious body in the ruins of Jaku City.[24]

They were aware that All For One and the remnants of the Paranormal Liberation Front would attempt to take advantage of the dwindled numbers and free Gigantomachia from his containment. Because of this, a team of Heroes and U.A. students, led by Mt. Lady, were assigned to protect the facilities from the Villains, being stationed there in advance once the fighting began.[17] Accompanying the team is Hitoshi Shinso, whose improved Brainwashing Quirk had played an instrumental part in the beginning of the War in deceiving All For One, with him as backup to brainwash Gigantomachia in case he manages to escape.

In contrast, All For One needs his loyal servant who was stockpiled with multiple powerful Quirks to win the war, so he sends in remnants of the PLF commanders to take back Gigantomachia at all costs.[25]

The PLF members are confused how they were ready for their sneak attack, when a masked PLF leader of the Guerilla Warfare Regiment states it was all a ruse on their part, pretending to be more scattered than they seemed, and having already foreseen they would try to rescue Gigantomachia so had the Heroes stationed to be on the defensive.

The battle was turning sour for the villains as they are losing their numbers very fast, especially thanks to the skills of the U.A. High Heroes. Pinky uses Acid Shot to melt off the concrete armor of some villains, allowing Grape Juice to use his Grape Rush to tick together with [[Pop Off]. Mudman begins to skink several other villains into the ground with his Softening Quirk while Mt. Lady enthusiastically gigantifies and stomps down on the villains.[17]

Meanwhile, Hitoshi had been teleported from the Counter-Force HQ to the battlefield at Jaku, being escorted away to safety by Red Riot, in case it is necessary to use his Quirk if the villains managed to awaken Gigantomachia.[25]

The Heroes manage to take out most of the attacking forces. However, the PLF adviser, and the remaining villains, use their Quirks to float in the air, out of the Heroes reach. The PLF adviser then activates the device, an Ultrahigh-Frequency Emitter, which begins to release an incredibly loud array of sound waves of All For One's voice.

Thanks to Gigantomachia's Dog Quirk giving him super hearing, he will be awakened and react to his master's voice. Mt. Lady attempts to swat at them to stop them, but to no avail, so she calls out to Rule, who uses her Size Quirk to enlarge a giant wrench, which Emily sends up to her using her Poltergeist Quirk.

Mt. Lady is about to smack the floating Villains with the wrench, but Gigantomachia busts out of his containment center, ramming right into her as the structure comes crashing down. While the Heroes escape the collapsing facility, Red Riot runs toward Hitoshi's hiding spot in the corner of the battlefield, telling him it's time to use their backup plan for him to brainwash Gigantomachia.

However, Hitoshi has already been discovered by the Sludge Villain, who has started to consume his body using his Quirk. Red Riot attempts to pound away at the Sludge Villain, ripping at its Sludge to free Hitoshi, but is unable to do so.

At the same time, Gigantomachia brutally pummels Mt. Lady toward the ground, asking where is master is. He is about to slice at Mt. Lady with his Mole claws, when Pinky unleashes her "Output Max Power" of her Quirk, Acidman: Alma, shooting a large chunk of Acid directly at the beast, strong enough that it begins to melt his body. Mt. Lady looks on is surprise at the effectiveness of the Acid, turning to Pinky and thinking about her to be careful, knowing it will take a lot out of her.

Pinky continues to build up the power of her Acid in her right arm. With her horns now greatly enlarged, she sticks her arm into the Sludge Villain, pumping his body full of Acid. He starts to freak out as the Acid begins to mix with his sludge, leaving Hitoshi's body and attempting to flee. Using his Artificial Vocal Cords device to modify his voice, Hitoshi calls out the Sludge Villain to wait, which he takes the bait on, responding that he's sticking with the winners, causing him to be brainwashed, and completely frozen in place.

Hitoshi thanks Red Riot and Pinky for their help, and stops the beast from attacking the still grounded Mt. Lady with his other claw, using his Vocal Cords to mimic All For One's voice calling out to him, and causing him to respond and become brainwashed; Hitoshi had studied All For One's voice using his recordings from Tartarus, and mimicked them using his Persona Chords.

Hitoshi swings around Gigantomachia with his Capturing Weapon, and commands him to attack those in the air. The brainwashed beast proceeds to go on a rampage, slicing and attacking all the floating Villains. The battle concludes with all the villains being successfully defeated, as the heroes prepare to round up the escaped convicts and PLF members for transport.[25]

Shortly afterward, Mt. Lady receives word from Naomasa Tsukauchi that the battle at the Gunga Mountain Ruins had started to fall apart, in particular due to All For One rewinding his body back to his prime state and attempting to escape the battlefield. They request assistance in keeping him contained so Mt. Lady and the still brainwashed Gigantomachia, with Hitoshi and Red Riot riding on his back, make their way to Gunga to provide backup.[25]

Mid-Battles#

Battle of Gunga Villa Ruins#

All For One is the biggest threat next to Tomura as he is the leader of the army. Thanks to the information Stain gave them from Tartarus, they know that the villain cannot survive without his life support mask. Normally overwhelming him with numbers would be the best approach, but due to being capable of stealing Quirks, they can't give him the opportunity to take out fighters and receive more power, so instead they need to attack him with with their most skilled fighters in the smallest possible team, meaning the fighting comes down to the Number 1 Hero, and potentially the strongest remaining Hero left, Endeavor, backed up by Hawks.[26]

To fight him, his location is chosen to be the ruins of the former Gunga Mountain Villa. As Their plan is to keep All For One in the air, and to keep the fighting between just the three of them, to prevent him from stealing any other Quirks, with the primarily goal of destroying his life support system and killing him. They are further backed up by a group of Heroes and U.A. students who will deal with any of the leftover villains that end up accompanying them on the ground.

All For One is teleported into the mountains, and Hawks goes straight for his head with a pair of blades the second he arrives, but failing to break through his near-indestructible life mask.

Since All For One's Warping Quirk cannot match the distance of Kurogiri's Warp Gate range, he can't go help Tomura who is hundreds of kilometers away from their position. All For One deduces the plan to separate his army all over Japan, but he disregards it as nuisance in setting back his plans for a moment, and prepares to use all of his Quirks.[2]

Endeavor and Hawks attack the Demon Lord simultaneously, who shoots several Razor Blades at them. Endeavor blocks the air attack with Hell's Curtain, while Hawks uses this distraction to attack All For One with his fiery Fierce Wings through it. All For One dodges the attack, knowing that it is a very obvious tactic on Hawks' part to catch him off guard, so he summons a liquid ward behind him that blocks Hawks' swords meant to hit his breathing mask again. All For One knows that Hawks couldn't restore his wings to their prime, and his few remaining feathers need aid from prosthetic ones to bring him up to his current speed. However, he was caught off guard when Endeavor attacks All for One with Vanishing Fist.

All For One attempts to block with his Hardflame Fan, but the heat from Endeavor's consecutive attacks starts to pass through, and he's unable to reflect the indirect attack with Impact Recoil. Additionally, Hawks is keeping an eye on him so he doesn't get a chance to fight back, since he doesn't possess a Super Regeneration Quirk.

All For One tells Endeavor, that he was responsible for taking Toya away from him after Toya's accident at Sekoto Peak, and that he was the reason he never found his son's body. The revelation shakes Endeavor to the core and, blinded with rage, the Flaming Hero rushes towards All For One, leaving his flank wide open that the gleeful villain exploits this to tear a huge chunk out of his torso with a fanged maw he forms from his hands.

As Endeavor falls, All For One attempts to unleash his Air Cannon Quirk against Hawks. He fires his Air Cannon, but Hawks is saved when the attack is suddenly blocked by Kyoka Jiro's Heartbeat Wall, flown into the battlefield atop Fumikage Tokoyami in his Black Fallen Angel.[26]

Thanks to Hawks' feathers, the wounded Endeavor reaches the ground without too much trouble. In the air, Hawks determines via his feathers that Endeavor managed to dodge at the last moment which kept his lungs safe.

All For One understands that Endeavor will not be long in standing back up, so he must kill the others as soon as possible in order to go to the aid of Tomura. He attacks Kyoka with an array of mouths from his fingertips, but Hawks manages to maneuver her out of the way with his feathers while also striking All For One's mask with more feathers and his swords. Fumikage manages to pick Earphone Jack up in the air and asks her to aim her sound waves at the mask to crack it.

All For One decides to combine various Quirks to transform his arm into an ultimate cannon and aims at the two students. Hawks is forced to use his feathers to deflect the blast, leaving him vulnerable for the villain to wound him with his Rivet Stab, and although he managed to save the lives of the students, the shot had managed to blow Earphone Jack's left ear off.[27] Despite the injury, Kyoka attacks All For One with Heartbeat Surround: Legato. All For One endures the sound wave, and prepares to counterattack when he notices something unexpectedly happening.

The vestiges of his stolen Quirks' former users spring from within him and hold him back, paralyzing him for the moment. Taking advantage of All For One's stillness, Kyoka and Hawks attacks All For One with "Soundwave Vibration-Enhanced Flight Feather Blade" successfully shattering All For One's life support mask.[28]

Once the mask was shattered, Fumikage creates a giant fist of darkness using Ragnarök: Fleeting Blow to deal him a formidable blow that completely destroys his mask. The villain soon realizes that it was his authority over the consciousness of the stolen Quirks being weakened after he switched his original Quirk to a copy.

Before Hawks is about to deliver the killing blow to finish him off once and for all, All For One unleashes a barrage of Rivet Stab attacks, emerging in all directions. Hawks throws himself in front of Fumikage and Kyoka to protect them from most of the damage, while the stabs also gather the pieces of the broken mask and put it back together again. Just then, Endeavor returns to the battle, protecting the three Heroes from the attack, with his right arm being ripped off in the process. Endeavor creates a new Vanishing Fist made entirely of flame to replace his right arm, striking All For One with it, to break the mask one more time.[29]

All For One had created a barrier in time to protect himself from Endeavor's fiery attack, although the impact knocked him backwards several meters. The villain can not believe that Endeavor has managed to make him feel the same feeling of discomfort All Might caused him in their previous fights, reaffirming his idea that there's nothing scarier then a wounded Hero.

With Hawks giving him more speed with his feathers, Endeavor rushes in to catch a distracted All For One off guard, hitting the villain with a full-force Vanishing Jet Burn attack that blasts the villain downwards to the ground, crashing in the middle of the battle between the villains and heroes. Some of the latter even complain about Endeavor as the plan was to finish him off way high up.

Hawks asks Endeavor why he didn't finish him off with Prominence Burn, and Endeavor remarks that he had his guard up, and since he can't use it as many times as he wants, he needs to break through his defenses to ensure it connects. Endeavor blasts himself downward after All For One.

On the ground, as the flames die down, the heroes realize that All For One is among them. Kamui Woods immediately realizes what is about to happen and yells for everyone to retreat just as Endeavor comes down with another attack, scattering the nearby Heroes and Villains in every direction.

All For One created several barriers to protect himself from the impact, but Endeavor's attack manages to break through them, grabbing the villain and dragging him across the mountain without giving him a chance to recover.

Due to his mask being destroyed and his body not listening to him, All For One tries to touch Endeavor to steal his Quirk. However, Endeavor shoots fire from his eyes which roast the villain's hand before he can make any sort of contact. While taking All For One as high as possible, Endeavor incinerates All For One to a crisp with a Prominence Burn.

After such a devastating attack, All For One's body is completely charred. Endeavor confirms the villain is unable to regenerate, and even if he did, there's no surviving that attack without a body like Tomura's. However, to everyone's shock and horror, All For One's body begins to regenerate,[30] or more specifically, he is beginning to recover the appearance he had in the past before his confrontation with All Might.

All For One had a reverse-engineered version of the Quirk-Destroying Drug that Tomura had stolen from the Shie Hassaikai, which was modified by Kyudai Garaki himself to alter its ability to regain its original effect, just like Eri's Quirk, Rewind.

Once his body is sufficiently restored, All For One drops to the battlefield to where the other heroes are, being chased by Hawks as he realizes what he's up to. As soon as he lands, All For One steals several capes to cover his nudity, and also takes the opportunity to steal the Quirk from a nearby Hero. Hawks rescues the hero from All For One's hands, while he slashes his face with his sword, but the effect of the Rewind closes the wound.

Now that he's used the bullet, All For One knows that he's now on a timer and is determined to reach to Tomura Shigaraki, no matter who will stop him.[6]

For his benefit, his back-up plans in the form of the other League of Villains members arrive to aid him. Spinner successfully freed Kurogiri from his containment, and proceeded to teleport both Dabi and a Twice-Transformed Himiko onto the battlefield. Dabi's Blueflames and Himiko's Sad Man's Parade are completely overwhelming to the Heroes on the ground, forcing them to retreat. With the Heroes now in full retreat, All For One laughs at the chain of events turning in his favor, intending to use the chaos as a cover to blast over to Tomura himself.

All For One continues to blast his way across the Gunga Mountains, while Hawks chases after him. He swings his katana at All For One, using his Fierce Wings to attempt to feint him out, slicing at him again, but All For One is able to dodge each time and uses his Spatial Distortion Quirk, seemingly killing Hawks.

Fumikage, who had been trying to fly behind and catch up to the two fighting, looks on devastatingly at the supposed death of his mentor. But suddenly, "Hawks" turns around to reveal a handsome, glittery face that simply fades away, shocking Fumikage and confusing All For One. It turns out it was merely a Glamour illusion created by Illus-o-Camie, riding a Meatball finger.

The Shiketsu High School students arrived with reinforcements to help turn the battle around against All For One. They were tasked with protecting the evacuees that were being transported between U.A. and Shiketsu, however when they didn't arrive, and they believed something went wrong, so they arrived for backup. Seiji Shishikura used his Quirk to pull Hawks out of the way, allowing Illus-o-Camie to create her illusion, while Inasa Yoarashi uses his Whirlwind Quirk to neutralize most of the Twice Doubles overwhelming the Heroes on the ground.[31]

Chewyee arrives with the rest of the Shiketsu reinforcements. All the Heroes proceed to multi-task their forces to subdue Himiko's Doubles while throwing every ranged attack they have at All For One.

The Heroes blast their attacks all over the battlefield, with Seiji shooting his Meatball shots and Inasa throwing hoards of Doubles toward All For One, which he blocks and rebuffs. All For One grins about them no longer holding back, and releases multiple appendages from his back, using them to unleash a ginormous explosion of black lightning that decimates the battlefield.

Many of the Heroes are blown away by the assault, but they refuse to stay down, as many attempt to protect the others from the attacks, while continuing to throw their own attacks to keep him remaining in place. Inasa counteracts by consuming All For One in his Whirlwind, Seiji shoots more Meatballs into the Whirlwind, causing All For One to get irritated at them combining the ranged attacks into the whirlwind cage, deciding he should try and steal some now.

He unleashes a web of Rivet Stabs all around him, ravaging the battlefield once again and causing the Heroes to flee. One of the Rivets directly hits Inasa, slicing the left part of his face, but despite that he continues his Whirlwind without fail, mentioning how his Quirk's even stronger on blustery days like it is currently.

Suddenly, All For One is frozen as he senses a monstrous presence behind him in the form of a large Dark Shadow. Taking advantage of the dark skies and windy storms, Tsukuyomi had approached Pixie-Bob to have her use her Quirk to cover him in the Earth, so that he could build up his darkness even more, and has now emerged using the Total Release technique to unleash Dark Shadow at his true power. Hawks appears behind Fumikage to support him, and assisted by Inasa's Whirlwind, Dark Shadow uses Black Abyss: Light of Baldur, transforming into a giant bird that completely pummels All For One down into the ground.[32]

Fumikage and Dark Shadow keep up their assault on All For One, all the while the rest of the Heroes around them multi-task between dealing with Himiko's Doubles.

Suddenly, All For One retaliates with a large explosion of Impure Beam acting as a blast of light, breaking Dark Shadow's grip from him. All For One emerges from the dust, but he is now looking visibly younger than he was due to the Rewind effect, making his abilities even more powerful than before. He then turns around and uses a conjunction of his Quirks to blast himself into the air, attempting to escape the battlefield. Some Heroes try to cover up Dark Shadow back in darkness as they give chase, with Inasa using his Whirlwind to boost them toward him so he won't escape.

As they are blazing across the mountains, All For One and Hawks both look to see Gigantomachia has suddenly re-appeared and is about to reach them. All For One smugly commands Gigantomachia to flatten them, but to his shock, instead the beast throws a chunk of the mountain at him, which he is forced to defend himself against, visibly irritated upon realizing it's the "pests" again.[33]

The team of Heroes in Jaku City were successfully able to defeat the Villains attempting to free Gigantomachia, and several of the Heroes ride on Gigantomachia's head to assist Fumikage and Inasa in keeping All For One contained. Dark Shadow tries to force himself to grab in, Inasa sends more Whirlwinds surrounding him, Mt. Lady smacks him with enlarged weapons, Gigantomachia throws more mountain chunks at him, and several Heroes on the ground shoot more ranged attacks, all with All For One desperately defending himself.[34]

All For One looks on to realize that Gigantomachia is under the spell of a manipulation Quirk, specifically, Hitoshi, figuring that was how the Aoyama Family was able to deceive him too, and annoyingly retaliates by releasing several blasts from his hand, directly hitting Gigantomachia.

Eijiro Kirishima uses his Hardening Quirk to protect Hitoshi from getting seriously damaged from the attack, but Gigantomachia is still freed from his control. However, to everyone's shock, after Gigantomachia begins to speak, he felt betrayed that after waiting in hiding for so long for him, and after finally being reunited during the Paranormal Liberation War, he was just abandoned and left behind.

Hitoshi points out that while his Quirk does control a person's actions, it doesn't control a person's heart. Realizing they now have Gigantomachia on their side, the heroes continues to pummel him into the ground until he vanishes.[35]

The destruction continues around them as Mt. Lady breaks another one of her giant weapons, asking Yui Kodai and Reiko Yanagi for another. They hand her the only remaining Detnerat stuff lying around, which she proceeds to use to continue pounding All For One. Just as Mt. Lady is about to throw the giant support item down, All For One retaliates with his Mouth Quirk, slicing her stomach open, causing her to fall to the ground.

All For One takes advantage of the moment of hesitation to counter Gigantomachia, unleashing a devastating blast of energy that annihilates half of his body and killing him. All For One begins to regenerate all his injuries and unleashes a dangerously powerful Impure Beam attack, destroying his arm in the process, but also completely annihilating Dark Shadow, with Hawks only barely protecting Fumikage. The Heroes can only watch on in fear as All For One once again regenerates, before he proceeds to massacre the heroes who chased after him.

As the dust settles, all the Heroes are left lying on the ground dead, bloodied, and beaten by All For One's rampage. He stands before Hawks, choking him out, as he intends to steal Fumikage's Quirk as retribution for causing him so much trouble. Hawks uselessly resists, still attempting to stab him with his katana, as All For One steals his Fierce Wings Quirk, which ends up only appearing in its weakened form due to its damaged Quirk Factor. Hawks realizes that his stocked Quirks aren't affected by the rewinding because they are considered external factors.

Just then, Minoru Mineta throws one of his Pop Off balls at All For One's legs, desperately begging him not to take Dark Shadow and to steal his Quirk instead. All For One decides not to want to waste anymore time, and leaves, blasting away towards Tomura.[36]

All For One continues to fly past city to city, getting closer and closer to reaching Tomura's location at U.A. As he was coming to his Warping range, he notices All Might on the highway. All Might begins to suit up in an assortment of support items and weapons to create the Armored All Might. All Might declares "I AM HERE", while All For One can only look down at his former nemesis, grinning with madness in his eyes.[37]

Dabi's Endgame#

After being teleported to Endeavor's location by Kurogiri, Dabi unleashes his Blueflames upon the mountain, which in conjunction with Himiko's Sad Man's Parade, begins to overwhelm the Heroes and force them on the defensive. Dabi charges toward his father, and the two begin a chase as Endeavor lures Dabi away from the primary location of the battlefield.[38]

However, what Endeavor doesn't realize is that ever since Dabi reinvigorated himself, he has been internally compressing his thermal energy, and that in about ten minutes time, his body will explode and incinerate everything within a 5 kilometre radius in a massive nuclear explosion. The Counter-Force observing the battlefields discover this revelation, and even worse realize that several of the civilian evacuation blocks that have been travelling in-between U.A. and Shiketsu are trapped in the middle of the blast zone. Among the civilians are the other members of the Todoroki Family: Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi. The civilians are told to ride the support robots to get as far away as possible; however, Rei defies these orders, and breaking away from her children, orders a robot to head towards the center of the flames.[39]

Endeavor learns from the Counter-Force about Dabi's impending explosion, as his injuries sustained during his fight with All For One catch up to him, making him unable to lure Dabi any further.

The blazing Dabi flies toward Endeavor, maniacally yelling for him to "Watch me!", as he purposefully explodes his right arm to launch a devastating Vanishing Fist against his father, completely enveloping him. Dabi then unleashes numerous Hell Minefield flames onto the battlefield, which knocks Endeavor to the ground. Dabi grabs ahold of him, and Endeavor grabs ahold of his son, riding his fire into the sky, so that they may explode in the sky together. However, before they can get too far, as Dabi's body begins to crack apart, Rei appears before the two, using her ice to cool them both down.[40]

Rei continues using her Quirk to shield herself from the heat, and to cool down Dabi. Then Natsuo and Fuyumi, who have followed their mother into the flames, also use their Quirks to protect themselves from the immense heat. As the Todorokis continue to shoot their ice at Dabi, Tenya and Shoto speed toward Gunga aboard an Engine-powered fighter jet made of ice, all while Shoto readies his Phosphor.[41]

Tenya's Engine begins to falter, and, using Phosphor, the duo combine their abilities for a final burst of speed, before Tenya's Engine gives out, causing him to collapse to the floor. Shoto is shot forward, and starts running toward the blazing inferno. Shoto enters the vicinity of Dabi's inferno, where the rest of his family are as they're still trying to cool Dabi down, who is on the verge of detonating. Unleashing his full power, Shoto completely extinguishes the inferno with Great Glacial Aegir, defeating Dabi for good.[42]

Himiko's Parade#

As the War rages on, with Ochaco battling Himiko on Okuto Island, Himiko succeeds in ingesting Twice's blood, transforming into him and starts unleashing Doubles of him. Kurogiri, freed by Spinner, arrives to help Himiko. He teleports Himiko and her growing army to both U.A. , and to the Gunga Villa Ruins.

Himiko and her Doubles are teleported to Gunga, seeking revenge against Hawks. The latter immediately shouts to kill them right away, but it's too late, as Himiko begins unleashing the Sad Man's Parade throughout the mountain. Ochaco and Tsuyu Asui are able to follow Himiko to Gunga before the Warp Gate closes, joining the fight and saying she won't let Himiko go again.[43]

Because of Himiko's Infinite Doubles, the Heroes are forced to go on the defensive against both Dabi's flames and Himiko's Doubles. Pixie-Bob tries to create a wall of earth to cover themselves, Kamui Woods is able to rescue Kinoko Komori as her Mushrooms catch fire, and Shishido says to get the Villains they've been able to capture out of there before they get burned alive.

Himiko had also carried some of Tomura, Dabi, and All For One's blood on her to transform into as well, however when the Doubles transformed into the other villains and tried using their Quirks, they were unable to activate, as the Doubles are blown away by Pixie-Bob's Earthflow. Based on what Ochaco learned in their last fight, Himiko is only able to use the Quirks of people she transforms into that she loves, and that restriction applies to the Doubles she's creating, which is why none of the copies can use any of the other Villain's Quirks.

Himiko, trying to use the blood and Quirks of her comrades, is confused why she isn't able to. Ochaco is able to find the real Himiko by zeroing in on her tears, as the two of them lock eyes on each other. While All For One continues to rewind and flee the mountains, a few other Heroes try and stop his escape, leaving the others to stay behind to continue fending off the Twice Doubles.[33]

Ochaco continues to fend herself from the one woman army, using her Zero Gravity to float into the sky. She latches onto the real Himiko, standing on top a tower of Twice Doubles with one of her wires, and closing the distance with her Ultimate Move: Spacewalk. While Himiko tries to cut the wire, Uravity tries reaching out to her by saying she's had a change of heart since their last encounter. Himiko tries dismissing this, saying it's too late for it. While this happens, the Twice tower brings up a badly injured Tsuyu to the top of it, who was still reeling from the injuries she received back on Okuto.[44]

As she's about to stab Tsuyu, Ochaco is able to yank Himiko away from Tsuyu before it was too late, but the Doubles were able to swallow some of Tsuyu's and Kyoka's blood. The Doubles continue to swarm and overpower the Heroes, constantly shouting that every hero needs to die.

Taking advantage of the confusion, Himiko stabs Ochaco in the stomach, forcing her to spit out a lot of blood. Himiko continues to severely stab her.[45]

Before Himiko can stab her again, Ochaco is able touch her, causing Himiko to float, and says she isn't doing this because of pity. Himiko breaks free from Ochaco's hold, and many of the other Himiko Doubles had taken the blood of everyone across the battlefield, and begin to transform into all of them, unleashing a Sad Man's Legion. The Doubles begin spreading across at a massive rate, spreading into an ocean to consume everything in her path. The Sad Man's Legion rushes Ochaco, but thanks to her Gunhead Martial Arts and Zero Gravity, she's able to avoid the attack and touch some of the Doubles so that they begin floating.

Ochaco reaches out her hand and touches the Doubles surrounding her, and her Quirk awakens, causing the ocean surrounding her to bursts open, floating up into the sky. The effect also spread across all the bodies that came into contact in the ocean.[46]

While the chain of Doubles continue to float, they try to create Doubles, but those Doubles also begin to float. In addition, Ochaco pacifies Himiko' stalling her enough for the transformation time to run out, as Himiko changes back from Twice, and the Doubles around her begin to vanish in thin air.[47]

During the Sad Man's Legion, the Doubles had rampaged all throughout the mountains and nearby cities, making their way to the Todoroki Family, Tenya, and Hawks respectively, but they all start to vanish away from them. Endeavor was able to shield his family from the bulk of the army's attack, the Doubles vanished before they could do any damage to Tenya, but one of the Doubles manages to slash Hawks before vanishing.

The battlefield had been completely destroyed during the fight. All the Heroes are left unconscious, or gravely injured, and only Himiko is the one left standing, holding onto the Blood Sucking Machine she dropped. Himiko feels a strong backlash from using someone else's Quirk while transformed, and looks down at the bleeding, dying Ochaco on the ground. The blood loss Ochaco received is fatal after all the moving around she did after getting stabbed. Himiko leans down and drinks some of Ochaco's blood to transform into her.

Taking the Blood Sucking Machine, Himiko injects a tube into each of their arms and begins to make a blood transfusion to give Ochaco all of her blood, as a way to show how genuine her feelings are. Himiko apologizes for stabbing and shouting at Ochaco, and tearfully thanks Ochaco, for making her incredibly happy, embracing her hero as she peacefully passes away.[48]

Battle of Takoba Stadium#

With the Troy Defense System, they'd be able to trap the Villains in metal cages, and push them into Warp Gates that lead to designated spots across all of Japan. Ryuko Tatsuma is leading the assault with amongst the Heroes: Thirteen, Tsuburaba, Hanta Sero, Mashirao Ojiro and Rikido Sato, dealing with the Villains sent to Takoba National Stadium.[2]

Sometime after the fighting had commenced, the Heroes were informed by the Counter-Force of Dabi's defeat by Shoto, giving them a morale boost to motivate them.[17]

While the rest of the battles were nearing their end, the Takoba team were still fighting, as they were assigned to deal with a very deadly foe; Gashly Eijiiu, one of the dangerous Villains that managed to escape Tartarus amidst All For One's escape. With his Quirk, he was able to summon an army of baby-like entities that were able to swarm the Heroes.[10]

Eraser Head and Present Mic managed to bring Kurogiri over to their side. The defense force sent out an S.O.S. for any Heroes that are still standing to be warped to Izuku's location. Above the Warp Gate, Lizardy and Jack Mantis, among many other Heroes, were able to warp to Takoba Stadium and help clear out the battlefield and defeat Gashly, allowing them to join in the final battle.[49]

Decisive Battles#

The Final Battle of the Symbol of Peace and the Demon Lord#

All For One glares down at All Might, viewing him as both his greatest obstacle and favorite toy. He knows this confrontation is merely a ploy— one last act of defiance meant to stall his advance. They both understand how this will likely end. But the villain cannot ignore the sight of the powerless former Symbol of Peace standing tall with that ever-defiant grin. The sight enrages All For One, pushing him to lash out with an overwhelming Impure Beam.

All Might charges forward, instructing Hercules to activate the Red Riot module to shield his body from the blast. All For One’s beam obliterates several buildings behind All Might, but the armored hero survives the hit and keeps flying toward his enemy.

All For One loses an arm in the backlash of his own attack and immediately recognizes All Might’s aggressive approach—his old style of charging head-on without hesitation. As the two close the distance, All Might suddenly unleashes a tangle of electrified cables, ensnaring All For One and shocking him with the combined power of Blackwhip and Chargebolt.

The surge disrupts the regeneration of All For One’s arm. Seizing the moment, All Might activates the Cellophane module to reel the villain in. As he summons Sugarman to his foot, he unleashes a devastating Shoot Style Smash[50]

The villain becomes increasingly unstable, preparing a devastating barrage of Quirks: Spring-ify, Brawn Boost, Air Cannon, Rivet Stab, Dark Ball, and Impure Beam. Combining them into a single catastrophic blast, All For One unleashes it to obliterate everything in his path. The force of the attack sends All Might hurtling through multiple buildings. However, he manages to survive thanks to the Utility Cape Auto Guard: Dark Shadow module, which shields him from the brunt of the blast.

Hovering above the battered hero, All For One mocks his persistence. He adds that once the gadgets are gone, All Might will have nothing left. In that moment, All Might draws strength from the past, and then charges forward once again, landing a direct punch to All For One's face. Though the hit connects, the villain endures it without flinching. He coldly declares that he's not fooled by All Might's stalling tactics, and that he can spare a moment to clean up the trash.[51]

All For One retaliates with a blast of energy, hurling All Might backward. But the hero isn't fooled, as he sees through the villain's composed façade and knows it's all an act to mask growing desperation. In that moment, Hercules launches a new support module to All Might's side: Superacid Injection: Pinky. All Might drives the injector directly into All For One, and the corrosive acid begins eating away at the villain from within.

A furious All For One lashes out again, blasting All Might clear across the city, all the way to Tatooin Station, where the armored hero crashes onto a rooftop. Hercules informs All Might of his worsening condition: fractured ribs, full-body contusions, and respiratory malfunction.

Despite the brutal damage, All Might rises to his feet once more, surprising even All For One, who now appears even younger. All Might chooses not to acknowledge it, knowing any sign of recognition might snap the villain back to reality. He suspects that All For One had to activate Quirks to expel the acid, accelerating the rewind process. The Hero catches himself mid-laugh, but the sound of his laugh infuriates All For One even more. All Might then calls out to Hercules to keep the support gear coming. In response, Hercules deploys the remaining attachments. The Uravity and Ingenium thrusters engage at full power, propelling All Might forward with renewed speed and force, committed to ending the fight.[52]

While All For One continues his relentless barrage, All Might uses his newly deployed attachments to dodge the incoming attacks. Utilizing a combination of Tentacole, Froppy Suction Pads, Shoto, and Tailman, All Might dashes through a narrow alleyway, setting the stage for a trap. He realizes that if taking massive damage shortens All For One's lifespan, there's a particular Quirk that can help him press the advantage. But due to its energy requirements, he must use Anima to carry it into position high above the battlefield.

As All Might makes his move, All For One intercepts him in the alleyway. Bracing against the sides of the alley, he unleashes a barrage of Rivet Stabs, narrowly missing his target. As All Might takes to the sky, he's confronted by two monstrous mouth Quirks, so he descends down to avoid getting crushed.

All Might continues to run from the crushing maws, and All For One tears away parts of the armor with another wave of Rivet Stabs, gloating that the world is watching as the former Symbol of Peace plummets toward defeat— now reduced, in his eyes, to the "Symbol of Impotence." Suddenly, All For One bursts through a wall ahead of All Might and strikes directly at the old injury he inflicted years ago, including his spine.

All Might endures, and, using Tailman to cushion the blow, he counters by entangling All For One with a tentacle, then launches him upward straight into a massive airborne trap. He than uses Shoto to blast All For One with Ice, freezing him. High above, Anima has placed the final piece in position. Now in control of the moment, All Might, battered but resolute, triggers a final attack using Can't Stop Twinkling, engulfing both himself and All For One in a brilliant, explosive blast. [18]

After locking All For One in place with Tentacole, All Might discards the attachment to escape the path of the skybound laser. He quickly uses Invisible Girl to help shield himself from the laser’s intense heat. Hercules warns that the engines powering the sky laser are overheating and the battery is failing, but All Might insists on maintaining the pressure before All For One can break free.

As fire rains down from above, All For One is quick to flee. All Might counters with Sound Wave Vibration: Earphone Jack, disrupting the villain's movements. Though his legs are weakened from the earlier attack to his midsection, All Might presses on.

All For One retaliates with another barrage of Rivet Stabs, several striking their mark. Still, All Might activates Morphing Armor: Creati, generating Binding Rounds: Grape Juice to tether the villain’s arms to the ground.

Just then, the sky laser overheats and detonates prematurely, failing to deliver a final blow. All For One, now visibly younger, begins to glow as his body continues to rewind. All Might goes in for another attack, All For One blasts a wave of energy that the Hero barely dodges, but the glowing villain rushes in front and smacks him away with an enlarged right hook.

With the Armored Hero struggling to get up, growth starts to appear on All For One's right shoulder and morphs into deadly spikes, and is ready to make All Might suffer just as he made him suffer. Just before All For One can unleash his attack, he suddenly freezes due to the Hero Killer: Stain, perched atop a glider. He licks blood from a shard of rubble, activating his Quirk, Bloodcurdle, and immobilizing All For One. With fierce determination, he calls out to All Might, urging him to finish the fight.[53]

Together, the former Symbol of Peace and the Hero Killer prepare to face the de-aging All For One side by side. However, All For One unleashes Forced Quirk Activation on himself, using Bloodlet to expel all the blood in his body, taking both All Might and Stain by surprise. He anticipated Stain's interference and saved this particular Quirk just for him.

Stain tries to counter by licking the blood splashed on his face to activate Bloodcurdle, but it fails because All For One had already used Antigen Swap to change his blood type, rendering the Quirk ineffective. As Stain reels from the failed attempt, All For One grows a grotesque mouth from his shoulder and clamps down on the Hero Killer. He proudly declares that he's always made sure to never leave a trace of himself behind, and by draining his own blood, he's been able to restore some of his strength.

All Might charges forward to rescue the Hero Killer, but All For One intercepts him, hurling the armored hero across the city and crashing him through multiple buildings. Without hesitation, the villain launches himself toward Stain's location, while All Might struggles to recover and give chase. Stain lies battered inside the ruins of a destroyed game center as All For One looms over him. The villain declares that he's taking Bloodcurdle, recognizing that while Stain played a key role in shaping the League of Villains and Tomura's development, his purpose ends now. With his final words, Stain urges All Might to survive and to win. In that moment, All For One steals Stain's Quirk and ends his life.

All For One shifts his focus back to All Might, preparing to unleash a devastating blast. Just as the attack is about to land, the remaining pieces of Hercules rocket into the air and shield All Might from the blow, stunning the hero with their final act of protection. The AI tells him he must survive before both are consumed by the explosion.

Toshinori struggles to rise, his body battered and broken. Dragging himself forward, All Might refuses to give in. With defiance in his eyes, he calls out to All For One, daring him to do his worst.

Just behind All Might, the U.A. fortress was still plummeting from the sky due to Himiko Toga's Doubles, but as the clones began to vanish, the floating fortress regained stability and remained airborne. Meanwhile, All For One had finally positioned himself within range to use his Warping Quirk, giving him the opportunity to summon Tomura, who was still locked in a fierce battle with Izuku.

All Might, battered and barely standing, tries to regain the villain's attention. But as All For One begins to activate Warping, dark goop starts emerging from Tomura's mouth. However, Tomura resists, swallowing the substance and rejecting the interference. All For One pauses, realizing that his Vestige has been completely consumed by Tomura. His twisted grin returns as he redirects his focus back to All Might, now fully intent on finishing what he started.[54]

Just beyond the edge of the airborne U.A. fortress, ALl For One carries a severely injured All Might to the front of U.A, mocking the ideals he once stood for and telling him to take responsibility for the "silly dreams" he planted in the hearts of children.

Both Izuku and Tomura spotted All For One and All Might. Izuku watches in horror as the broken body of All Might hangs limp in the air. Inside of One For All, the Vestige of All Might begins to flicker and fade, and in that moment, All Might refuses to let his own dream fade either.

All Might pulls himself up toward All For One, revealing he still has one final support item hidden away. As he activates it, All For One is suddenly struck by vivid visions of Nana's final moments. All Might, with a wide grin across his face, braces himself, ready to take both himself and All For One out in a final act of defiance.[55]

Unfortunately, before he can execute his plan, All For One strikes first, unleashing Spearlike Bones to impale All Might's arms, destroying his gauntlet and crippling his final weapon. With chilling satisfaction, All For One tells him he doesn't get to decide how he exits this world. He then licks the blood from All Might's wounds and uses Bloodcurdle, freezing him in place with.

The Villain recalls the most important lesson he once learned firsthand during their battles: that a wounded hero is the most dangerous of all. But here, in this moment, he asserts, All Might will accomplish nothing. All Might stands completely paralyzed, both physically and emotionally. All For One grins so wide that his cheeks begin to tear open, relishing the sight of his greatest enemy finally brought to his lowest point.

Danjuro Tobita, who had been keeping U.A. from falling, tries to go help All Might, but All For One fires a blast that tears through the school, destroying the school, and forcing Gentle to stay behind to hold it back once more. All For One mocks him, saying he'll be crushed beneath the weight of his own righteousness. Meanwhile, Ethan Drive and the other X-66 pilots arrive to assist All Might.

Ethan orders them to aim and prepare to fire, but, recognizing the jets, All For One reacts swiftly, blasting them out of the sky before they can take action. All For One lifts the battered Symbol of Peace above him, ready to tear him apart. Just when all hope seems lost, a sudden presence appears in a huge explosion. At the edge of the U.A. barrier, high above the chaos, Katsuki Bakugo returns back from the dead after being nearly killed by Tomura.[56]

All For One's "Final Boss"#

Katsuki rockets down toward Izuku with his Explosion Quirk. Without hesitation, Deku reaches out his hand, and the two heroes move in perfect sync to save All Might.

Izuku uses Gearshift, but this time, he uses it on Katsuki, before launching him forward. Katsuki uses Explosive Speed: Cluster to propel himself faster. Then, in a burst of speed and resolve, a strong gust of wind gives him an extra boost. Katsuki successfully reaches them, blasting apart All For One's arms and saving All Might at the last possible moment. The Vestige of All Might within One For All fades once more into a faint shimmer. All Might is left stunned, but Katsuki stands firm, declaring that it's time for them to win.[57]

Katsuki makes a rough landing atop a nearby building, away from All For One. Edgeshot slithers out of Katsuki's body in his Zenith state. He explains that he forced Dynamight to expel the pooled blood from his system and used his own body to patch up his injuries. The No. 4 hero reassures him that the internal knots he tied won't come undone, but until he gets proper medical care, every breath will be agonizing. Edgeshot also clarifies he only held him together; the real comeback was made possible by a single bead of sweat inside Katsuki's bloodstream, created just before his heart bursted.

All Might notices that Katsuki's right arm is limp following his dramatic rescue. As Dynamight looks out and asks who the glowing kid is, All Might explains it's All For One, then asks him to extend his arm. He gives Katsuki the final remaining piece of the Armored All Might suit, telling him that while it no longer functions as intended, it can still serve as a brace for his injured arm. All Might wishes he could give more, but Katsuki simply smiles, then dashes forward, ready to face All For One once again.[58]

Meanwhile, All For One is seething with rage at Katsuki's rescue, but is able to pull himself together and focus on Tomura and taking back One For All. He knows he needs an uncompromised hijacking of Tomura's powerful will, and he'll have go grant him his own quirk and himself. Before All For One can make a move, Katsuki suddenly shows up and tells All For One that he's the final boss, before sending a huge explosion to the face. All For One gets sudden flashes of Kudo, before being blasted down to the ground.[58] Despite the damage taken, All For One is still fixated on Tomura, and tells Katsuki he will come later. All For One makes his way towards the duo, ignoring Katsuki.

Katsuki takes note of the pain in his body. As the beads of sweat are stored up in his palms, they now also shoot through his whole body, and the pain from when and where they explode from is giving him a handle on the timing of his backup blasts. Dynamight is able to use his Cluster at Explosive Speeds to catch up to All For One, leaving the villain flabbergasted. However, the young hero had begun moving too fast and can't control his speed as he tumbles on the ground.

All For One is confused by this, as Katsuki begins charging another blast for All For One. Katsuki launches a powerful blast at All For One, sending the villain smashing against a building as the hero is launched backwards.[10]

Katsuki keeps himself in the air with explosions as All For One assesses the situation. He knows that forcibly Warping him away won't stop him, since the only available warp points are All Might and Tomura, who are both too close. He also knows he can't drag this battle out much longer before he rewinds faster, and even when he does reach Tomura, conflict would be inevitable as he's already been rejected once. He initially thought he had to save his strength for Tomura, but has had enough of all of this.

He decides to kill two birds with one stone, as killing Katsuki and executing his transfer are now one and the same goal, and begins to summon his last ditch effort. Within One For All, Yoichi can sense his brother coming, as All For One uses his Ultimate Move, Omni Factor Unleash: All For One Goal. By combining every Quirk he has stored up, All For One is able propel himself at full throttle towards his final goal.

All Might and Edgeshot look on and realize this will revert him back to a baby, and he's betting everything on this single burst. All Might tells Dynamight to get out of the way before getting blown away as All For One speeds through like a bullet. Dynamight, while still grinning, asks himself he how he can ever hope to beat this thing.[59]

As the giant mass charges straight forwards, Katsuki stands his ground and tells him to blow the hell up. Just then, multiple explosion suddenly erupt inside of All For One's mouth, blowing his head up and throwing the villain completely off guard, changing his speed and stopping him from rushing through.

Katsuki says that the rain hinders his power, so he fired off some coated beads of sweat during his blasts without triggering them, hoping that something could set them off on delay. With All For One disoriented, he rushes in to finish the rewinding villain off.

The blast threw All For One's powers out of disarray, but the villain tries pulling himself together to unleash them once more. Katsuki charges at him with a Cluster powered Howitzer Impact directly in the face. He goes on to unleash a full barrage of blasts at All For One, refusing to give the villain a break. As he unleashes powerful blast after powerful blast, he tells All For One to shut the hell up.

Inside All For One's vestige world, he realizes that his Quirk Factors aren't mingling properly, and is baffled at how the explosions are interfering with them, wondering if his body being too young is the problem. The vestiges show up, and 'Hawks' tells him his negative emotions are causing him to lose control over the factors. The vestige of Hawks also says that he knows that All For One's vestige had been swallowed up by Tomura.

Dynamight unleashes the final blow against the real All For One, destroying All Might's Gauntlet in the process, and gives the villain one final point blank blast to the face that causes him to crash straight into the ground.[60]

All For One had been rendered down to an infant, crawling to find Tomura and transfer his Quirk to Tomura. While the infant All For One continues to crawl, Katsuki lands right in his way, surprised he hasn't vanished yet. He coughs up more blood as his body has run out of the strength to even stand. With the great evil finally on the verge of birth/death, the young hero knows he's done enough and that he can let the baby disappear without his help.

As he's about to fall over, however, he remembers the words he gave to Ejiro before he created Unbreakable, about how being able to keep standing through anything makes him strong. The wounded hero stops his fall and smiles, as he'll achieve nothing less than absolute victory. All For One lets his emotions take over and launches a Spearlike Bone out of his mouth towards Dynamight, who catches the attack with his teeth and breaks it apart with one last explosion. The baby in front of him finally begins to rewind into nothing, crying out to stop the process.

All For One is reduced to a embryo, to a zygote, and then nothing, leaving not a trace of the ultimate evil left. Katsuki tries to imitate the same victory pose All Might pulled after his fight in Kamino, but falls on the ground before he can do that. Before he can fall into unconsciousness, Katsuki raises his working arm up into the air and tells Izuku to give him hell.[61]

The Final Battle of the Successors of One For All and All For One#

The pivotal battle of the war is the fight between Izuku Midoriya, the last successor of One For All, and Tomura Shigaraki, the wielder of the original All For One.

After finally arriving back at the floating U.A. from being initially thrown off course, Izuku is sent into shock upon seeing the devastation left behind by "Tomura" and all his unconscious allies, in particular the deceased Katsuki Bakugo, causing his Quirks to erupt out of control due to his overwhelming emotions. "Tomura" tries to take advantage of his emotional state to attack him, but Mirio Togata is able to calm him down and bring him back to his senses. With everything back under control, Izuku confronts "Tomura".[62]

"Tomura" leaps into the air, with enough force to completely shift the balance of the U.A. Flying Sky Fortress. He angrily declares he's taking back One For All as he unleashes a powerful punch directly at Izuku, destroying most of the surrounding area. However, Izuku managed to stop "Tomura's" by combining Fa Jin's stored up energy into Blackwhip to create a Blackchain that ensures around his arm. He proceeds to toss the Blackchain away, smacking "Tomura" into several separate pieces that broke off U.A.

Landing on one of these blocks, "Tomura" says the same trick won't twice, but is surprised when Izuku undoes the Blackchain himself. Izuku activates the Kudo's Quirk, Gearshift, which allows him to adjust the speed and trajectory of anything he touches.

Using the Transmission technique, Izuku utilizes Gearshift on himself, catching "Tomura" completely off guard as in an instant, Izuku appears underneath him, adjusting himself between "First", "Second", "Third", and "Top Gear", bombarding him with a barrage of super-fast and powerful punches. The force is so strong it sends "Tomura" flying into the air. The punches are so fast the sounds are delayed and broke the sound barrier.

"Tomura" is baffled by what he is doing, realizing the speed is different from the glowing energy of Fa Jin he had noticed earlier, and figuring out what Quirk it really is. Izuku activates Gearshift: Overdrive, combining the 100%-esque power he stored up with Fa Jin at incredibly blistering speeds, reaching a level of power equivalent to 120%. With this added boost, Izuku unleashes a devastatingly strong Detroit Smash directly into "Tomura's" stomach.[63]

Before "Tomura" can recover after being smashed downward, Izuku uses this new ultimate potential of Gearshift and unleashes Detroit Smash: Quintuple, releasing five consecutive Detroit Smashes in quick succession, barrelling himself around the arena. "Tomura" notices the attack was lighter than before, realizing he didn't have the Fa Jin glow built up for it, but even though he is too fast to see, he tries to use the trajectory of the attacks to know where he is going to hit him and counter.

"Tomura" swings, but misses, as Izuku had switched Gearshift into "Low Gear", slowing him down, as the Quirk can adjust speed without abiding by the laws of inertia. "Tomura" tries once again with another attack, but Danger Sense alerts Izuku and he releases a Smokescreen, distracting "Tomura" for long enough for him to use Float to get above him, and carry him into the air with Blackwhip. Explaining how he effectively used all the Quirks of the users, Izuku further reveals the Quintuple Detroit Smash built up more energy for Fa Jin, allowing him to execute another Overdrive attack. With his kinetic energy building up, Izuku releases a powerful smash attack that completely destroys "Tomura's" finger defense form, and leaving him with a gaping hole in his chest.

"Tomura" is further incensed, as he refuses to give up as a massive lump begins to emerge from his chest as he screams in pain. Meanwhile, Spinner had successfully freed Kurogiri from his containment at Central Hospital and began using his Warp Gates to reach his allies. What's even more worse, Himiko Toga had successfully injected the vial of Twice's blood, allowing her to Transform into Twice. Kurogiri warped himself and Present Mic onto the observation deck, catching Eraser Head off guard, and before he can reach, Kurogiri opens another Warp Gate in which a swarm of Twice Doubles emerge and begin to attack. Eraser Head and Manual try to defend Neito, but they are immediately tossed to the side, and Phantom Thief is tackled to the ground, shutting his eyes, and undoing Erasure.

As a result, a screaming Tomura begins to emerge within the scab on his stomach, and with his Quirks returned, unleashes a massive explosion that destroys the U.A. Fortress. The students and staff within struggle to but are unable to keep up with most of the repairs, and things get into even more trouble when Mandalay reports in that they have been hacked, courtesy of Skeptic, and that U.A. is starting to fall toward the ground.

Izuku recovers from the explosion to see Tomura standing there amongst the rubble, having shed most of his skin. He also sees Kurogiri appear right next to him, while also noticing Tomura's struggling to move.

Between the chaos of the falling U.A. and Kurogiri, Izuku tries to think of a way to fix everything, but due to the blowback of using Gearshift, he's run out of air and found it harder for him to breathe. Despite this, the Second User notes out that All For One is unable to manipulate Tomura's flesh at the moment either, so the two are left to stare each other down and recover until one's body is able to act and make the first move.[64]

Suddenly, U.A. is saved from falling by what is described as an "air trampoline", which Izuku immediately recognizes who it is: Gentle. After proving himself worthy, the Police Force had agreed to let him assist them as a form of redemption, and while La Brava got to work in over-hacking Skeptic and fixing U.A.'s flight system, Gentle was sent onto the battlefield, using his Elasticity Quirk, empowered by La Brava's Love, to release Gently Super-Lover, stopping U.A. from its descent.

Daigoro Banjo warns Izuku to be careful as Tomura manages to regain control of his body and is about to touch the ground to activate his Decay. But before he can, Lady Nagant uses her Rifle Quirk to snipe him from below in the city atop Central Hospital.[65]

Using her last remaining strength, Nagant shoots off Tomura's hands right when he tries to attack with the other, giving Deku just enough time to recover and regain his own strength. Within Tomura, All For One hysterically lambasts Nagant for her patheticness, only for Tomura's true self to begin re-emerging from the vestige, mocking his master's attempts at manipulation having failed.

Tomura reveals he had realized All For One's plans to manipulate him and use him as a vessel, so to combat this, he had kept his "origin" as "Tenko Shimura" hidden deep within All For One, building up its hatred under his nose until the opportunity to take back control came about. All For One tries to command Kurogiri to warp Tomura to his main body, but due to the persona of Oboro Shirakumo within him, Kurogiri malfunctions and is unable to properly respond.

Using a mass of fingers to completely break free from All For One's vestige, Tomura declares that he doesn't need One For All, and his intention to stay true to his original goal: to destroy everything in the world that created the house he grew up in, and that's the only thing that will save him.[66]

Knowing that Tomura has access to his Quirks now, Izuku takes the opportunity to grab ahold of him and blast him directly outside U.A. onto the ground below. Tying his arms up with Blackwhip, Izuku confronts his Villain.

Unbeknownst to him or Tomura, the students from the Hero Business Course were recording their brutal battle from above U.A. Fortress, as Izuku disables his Blackwhip to charge right at Tomura in full speed, as the two continue their clash with Tomura gleefully laughing during it.[66]

As the two enemies rush towards each other, with Tomura giving a wicked smile, Izuku grabs Tomura's arms to avoid getting killed by Decay. The force between their struggle creates a giant cyclone, with the two of them standing strong in the eye of the storm.[67] Eventually, they begin flying through the cyclone, with Izuku further reinforcing his hold on Tomura's arms with Blackwhip.

As their struggle continues, Izuku is able to sense All Might's Vestige during his final battle with All For One. Izuku continues to do his best while Tomura smiles as wickedly as ever.[52]

Eventually, All Might and All For One's battle makes its way towards the U.A. fortress, giving All For One the opportunity to use Warping on Tomura now that he's in close enough range. However, Tomura swallows the sludge and tells his master to not butt into his fight. In light of this, the Demon Lord begins dragging All Might's body towards the fight as the Business Course students continue filming everything.

Izuku sees the dangling All Might, and despite putting his tearful days behind him, he struggles to hold back his tears once again. Within One For All, the Vestige of All Might begins to fade away as Izuku calls out to his hero.[68]

All Might attempts to take himself and All For One out with one final attachment to his dismantled suit. Unfortunately, All For One thwarts his plan and paralyzes him with Bloodcurdle, having stolen it from Stain. Gentle, after managing to stabilize U.A., attempts to help All Might, but All For One blasts the school, forcing the former villain to keep his post. Ethan Drive and the remaining American pilots try to help out in their X-66 jets, but All For One blasts them away. Just as All For One is about to kill the Symbol of Peace in front of the entire world, Katsuki Bakugo returns from the dead, looking down from the U.A. barrier, and locks eyes with Izuku.[69]

Katsuki quickly rushes over to Deku with Explosive Speed: Cluster. They manage to lock hands while Izuku continues restraining Tomura. After spinning in the air, Izuku uses Gearshift on Katsuki and launches him to help save All Might. Katsuki successfully saves All Might from All For One's grip, making the Vestige inside Izuku return to its faint form.[57]

All For One, despite his seething anger, tries to focus on taking back control of Tomura and One For All. Katsuki, however, attacks him.[70] Tomura finally breaks free of Deku's Blackwhip and tells him he'll destroy his hold on him again and again. Though Izuku was able to stay alive using Danger Sense, he still hasn't figured out how to deal with the villain's superpowered body, Super Regeneration, and Decay. Despite the risk of blowback, he reactivates Gearshift on himself as he and Katsuki begin to go beyond.[71]

Izuku and Tomura's battle progresses crossing the abandoned cities of Japan, eventually, Tomura uses his Decay to sink down a large chunk of land, causing a tsunami to ravage the area. With Gearshift starting to take a toll, Izuku puts on his mask to breathe as he continues using Gearshift in combination with Fa Jin and Danger Sense.

Tomura sensed that All For One is dead, and despite not being able to stop Katsuki, he's grateful that their fight made him strong enough to adapt to Izuku's speed. The villain catches Izuku off-guard and attempts to grab his face, but Izuku slashes off Tomura's fingers just as quickly. However, that one near-touch enables Tomura to steal Danger Sense from Izuku along with Hikage Shinomori's Vestige..[72]

With the villain now possessing Danger Sense, Izuku attempts to restrain Tomura with Blackchain, but Tomura effortlessly dodges each attack. Charging forward, he demolishes every house and building in his path. Izuku is flung far away by Tomura's attack, though he shields himself from the blow by wrapping himself with Blackwhip.

As his mask crumbles away, Bruce Lee notes that they landed right near the foot of Mt. Fuji just as Gearshift's begun to wear off. Tomura floats down to Izuku, saying he can see the Vestiges trying to make a plan. He knows that running and hiding was how One For All was able to get as strong as it is now, and he needs to destroy them before their next escape. He will continue destroying everything, just like what Spinner was hoping for. With his feet on the ground, a massive wave of destruction left by Decay follows behind Tomura, which threatens to make Mt. Fuji erupt.

Izuku stands his ground, and begins wrapping Blackwhip around his right arm, including inside his body, destroying his Mid-Gauntlet as Tomura's new Danger Sense begins going crazy.[73] Powering up his fist with Fa Jin, Izuku fires his Delaware Smash to counteract the wave of Decay by destroying the land, which sends Tomura flying in the air. Tomura is impressed by Izuku's strategy, even though it's only a stopgap measure. He launches himself through the air using a repulsion Quirk, but the dust cloud doesn't disappear as Danger Sense continues to activate. Through Izuku's Smokescreen, several Blackchains shoot out as the young hero suddenly strikes, punching off Tomura's hand.

By using Kudo's Gearshift in Low Gear to anchor En's Smokescreen in place, and surrounding Tomura with Daigoro Banjo's Blackwhip, Izuku was able to trigger a constant alarm from Hikage's Danger Sense, within Tomura's mind, allowing him to create the opening he needed to store energy using the Bruce's Fa Jin.

However, with Search, Tomura can see through the smoke and bombards Izuku with a relentless barrage of Rivet Stab. The Quirk also exposes Deku's weaknesses; he's out of breath from Gearshift wearing off, and his charged attacks come with heavy recoil on his body. Tomura knows that a strong enough blow from Izuku could kill him beyond even Super Regeneration's repair, but he also knows Izuku won't go that far when he's still clinging to the hope of saving the crying child within him.

As Izuku unleashes the power he had stored up in his leg, Tomura prepares a blast of energy. However, Kudo and All Might's vestige is able to see a lingering phantom of Star and Stripe, pointing inside of Tomura to reveal a small crevasse within the leaden mass. Realizing what needs to be done, Kudo tells Izuku that the time has come for him to part ways with One For All.[74]

Back when Star and Stripe's Vestige invaded Tomura's body during their battle, she caught a glimpse of the sorrowful boy buried deep within him. Tomura knocks Izuku back with a powerful blow, momentarily stunned by the lingering presence of Star, confused by how her remnants still haunt his mind.

Izuku crashes to the ground, gasping for breath, his costume in tatters from the last attack. Struggling to rise, he asks what Kudo meant. Kudo explains that the core of hatred inside Tomura is a ball of malice and memories as dense as lead, representing his unshakable resolve and hateful spirit. However, All Might caught a glimpse of something deeper: a scar left behind from the battle with Star and Stripe, one that even Tomura's Regeneration couldn't heal. Kudo tells Izuku that this ball of hate is the key; by channeling the power of One For All into that unhealed scar, he can pry open and break Tomura's will.

There's no certainty it will work, so Kudo volunteers himself as a test run, as Danger Sense's theft along with Hikage indicated that a single piece could be transferred at a time. Kudo tells Izuku to throw him with enough force to shatter him completely, allowing him to act as an attack rather than giving up control of his power.

In addition, if Izuku transfers Gearshift first, then Gearshift's crippling recoil will finally disappear after the transfer, and even if Tomura manages to tap into it, the backlash will eventually hurt him too. Bruce says it's too risky, but Kudo says they've had to make callous calls before. Despite how cruel the world can be, Izuku doesn't give up, and Kudo wants to believe he's got the right idea. Deku, however, can't bare the idea of parting ways with his Quirk, and despite how far he's come, he still thinks of One For All as an irreplicable gift from the hero he admires more than anyone.

Tomura begins closing in, Kudo tells Daigoro to stay with Izuku until the very end, since Blackwhip is the only thing keeping him alive right now. He also asks Yoichi Shigaraki to watch over him, and Yoichi quietly promises that he will. Turning back to Deku, Kudo asks to hear if Izuku can do this. Izuku answers that he will, and with a surge of resolve, he blasts Tomura back with a flurry of attacks from Blackwhip, the force startling Tomura so badly that his hand is severed for the second time. Izuku then coats his entire body in Blackwhip, using Deku Overlay to force his battered frame to keep moving.[75]

Izuku knows he'll have to deal with Tomura's speed without Gearshift, recalling All Might's words about how One For All can be transferred to an unwilling recipient, a theory Kudo and Bruce once explored. His blood will serve as the transfer agent, entering through an open wound, but with Tomura's Super Regeneration, injuries don't last long, making the moment of impact their only real opening.

Tomura reflects on Izuku's last attack, realizing he panicked and cut off his own hand before Izuku's plan could take effect. While most people in Izuku's state, wracked with pain and struggling to breathe, would focus on survival, Tomura doesn't care about that, as long as he can keep destroying everything. Tomura dives for the ground below, but Izuku blasts out a massive Smokescreen. Tomura manages to touch down, but unknown to him, Izuku had already sliced through that section of the ground with Blackwhip during his last attack. Now, with Blackchain, Izuku hurls the entire chunk of land high into the sky, just like at the U.A. barrier. Using both Danger Sense and Search, Tomura detects a light approaching from behind and grabs it, only to find it's just Izuku's cape, which instantly decays. Then, he sees the real light, which is Izuku's blood, hidden within Blackwhip, and this time, the light isn't Deku at all.

Tomura detects Izuku above him, but it's too late. Izuku is already in striking range, fist drawn back and wrapped in Blackwhip containing Kudo's Vestige. He had gambled on Search locking onto the other successors instead, and by focusing his intent on transferring the power, he was able to split off a fragment of himself residing within his own blood. By launching that blood, hidden inside the Smokescreen, he slipped past Tomura's radar and closed the distance undetected.

As Izuku closes in, Tomura's body instinctively tries to reject what's coming, shielding himself in layers of hands. Izuku drives his punch right into Tomura's stomach. In the clash, Tomura manages to slash part of Deku's face, but the blow lands, and Kudo's Vestige crashes into the lingering mental scar, tearing it open even further.

As Tomura reels from the impact, both Izuku and Tomura are suddenly pulled into a shared vision: Izuku sees a memory of when Tomura first met Himiko and Dabi, and Tomura sees Izuku and Shoto Todoroki clashed during the U.A. Sports Festival, followed by Spinner questioning Tomura about his plans for the League of Villains.[76]

As the clash between them continues, more memories begin to swirl around—scenes from the past bleeding into one another. Izuku sees moments like his team-up with Tsuyu and Minoru, and his first confrontation with Tomura during the U.S.J. Incident, alongside Eraser Head and the U.A. students. Yoichi explains that the resonance between All For One's Quirk Factor and One For All has been building rapidly, and after Kudo's strike, it's reached a critical threshold. The remaining Vestiges begin to merge, converging into Izuku's arm and preparing him for another transfer attack, this time with all their power behind it.

The two archenemies shout each other’s names with raw fury as Tomura shields himself beneath an even denser mass of writhing hands. Izuku drives his fist forward, managing to punch through the grotesque armor, but only En's Vestige breaks through, while the others are violently repelled back to him. Realizing what this means, Izuku understands that Tomura hasn't completely sealed himself away; true breakthrough can only come by pushing past the wall of hands and fingers guarding him. As the struggle intensifies, another towering memory looms above them: a small boy walking beside a mysterious older man. In a panic, Tomura buries himself beneath an even greater swarm of grasping hands and fingers.

Just outside the battlefield, Mei Hatsume has managed to deploy one of her robots to keep recording the fight, with assistance from La Brava.[77]

Izuku continues pushing past all of Tomura's fingers, despite Tomura desperately trying to reject the attacks. As Tomura shouts at Izuku to get away from him, the young hero uses the power of all the remaining Vestiges to punch through the rest of the villain's armor.[78] The force of the blast not only sends Mei's robot flying away, but also destroys the leaden mass within Tomura's heart. In the Vestige world, Nana is the only Vestige that got repelled, not because of Tomura's hatred for her, but rather due to her own weakness.

Izuku is surprised to find himself in front of a strange house, wearing his U.A. uniform and backpack. As he goes to ring the doorbell, a dark, shadowy version of himself appears, asking if learning more will change anything. Izuku surmises that this is how Tomura sees him, and that he's using this form to communicate with him. He tells the dark version of himself he doesn't know, but letting this end without knowing the whole story wouldn't sit right with him. The phantom Deku tells Izuku to die, but Izuku assures him that he will let him it.

Suddenly, a truck almost runs over Izuku, though he jump out of the way. Noticing how the truck grazed his backpack, he realizes that Tomura's mindscape is able to physically affect him. Nana appears, explaining that Izuku's delved deep into Tomura's subconscious, and as a successor, their thoughts take a solid form and can affect each other in this place. Nana apologizes for being the only one left behind, but Izuku is glad she's still with him in this place. Smiling, Nana tells Izuku to think of this place like Tomura's origin, where he's at his most delicate and malleable. He's likely to be fragile here, and it's here they can strike his origin directly.

Just as Izuku prepares to charge forward, Stain suddenly drops from the sky, pinning him down in the exact same way he once did during his and Tomura's first encounter. Stain leans in, coldly telling him he's about to die. His face morphs into Re-Destro's, who demands to know what burdens Izuku carries and what kind of future he's trying to build. His nose then warps into Overhaul's mask, who coldly asks if Izuku even has a plan. Gritting his teeth, Izuku replies simply that even though he doesn't have one, he's not stopping. Shoving past the twisted amalgamation of villains, he throws open the front door, where he comes face-to-face with the image of Nana and her son Kotaro, captured in a single, quiet photograph.

Nana is stunned to see the photo still intact, kept all these years by her son, and her eyes begin to well with tears as she and Izuku venture deeper into the tangled web of memories. They burst through a doorway and into a backyard, only to witness a grown-up Kotaro viciously beating a shadowy figure of a small boy. Izuku tries to intervene, but slams into an invisible wall, helplessly watching as Kotaro looms over the child.

Kotaro screams that the woman in the photo isn't his grandmother, but a monster who abandoned her own child in the name of heroism. Nana collapses in anguish, realizing the pain she passed onto her son has now reached her grandson. Tears streaming down her face, she confesses she wished she could have defeated All For One and come home, and that she never wanted to leave her family behind.

As Kotaro raises his hand for another strike, the barrier shatters. Izuku rushes to shield the boy, while Nana embraces her son. She tells the memory of Kotaro that she's sorry, that she never made it home, and that everything, from the pain to the anger, is her burden to bear. As she holds him close, both Nana and Kotaro slowly fade into the light, leaving behind only silence.

Izuku, now wearing his middle school outfit, finds himself in the same backyard in the dark of night, with a little boy crying as he gets comforted by his dog, Mon.[79] Izuku feels the same overwhelming emotion he first experienced when he saw the child back at Gunga Mountain Villa. Calling out to Tomura, he watches as Tenko's power causes Mon to decay. Izuku realizes this is the first time Tenko used his Decay Quirk. Suddenly, a little girl appears to comfort him. Sensing what's about to happen, Izuku, now transformed into a boy the same age as Tenko, steps forward to block him.

Tenko grips both of Izuku's hands as they begin to decay, but Izuku visualizes holding on tightly, refusing to let go. Tenko asks why he's stopping him, and as the final piece touches his core, Izuku answers simply: because he saw Tenko crying.Tenko insists it was his choice to destroy his own home and family, since no one could validate his existence so completely.

Despite Tenko's rejection, Izuku stands firm, recognizing this as Tenko's hatred and catharsis clashing with his grief and confusion. Remembering his conversation with the Vestiges and the possibility that killing Tomura may be the only option, Izuku tells Tenko that others have reached out to help him find peace, and that's why he's here.

Tenko's mind flashes back to a memory of playing heroes with two boys, Mikkun and Tomo. They suggest he should be All Might, but Tenko refuses, since he's a villain who fights in the name of evil to destroy. Visions of Spinner, Himiko, Dabi, Twice, and Mr. Compress appear before the boys, as Tenko begins to crumble, reverting back into Tomura. He tells Izuku that even if his hatred is extinguished and he ends up hollow, it doesn't matter because the villains need a hero of their own.

Suddenly, the two of them are flashed with a memory of someone meeting Kotaro for the first time. Tomura and Izuku are both confused, as they doesn't know whose memory this belongs to. Suddenly, the ground beneath them morphs into All For One, who swallows Tomura whole, belittling him for loosing a battle of wills against an absolute nobody, and he tells Tenko that not one thing in his pitiful life was his own choice.[80]

All For One seethes with fury at Izuku for destroying Yoichi and One For All, yet Tenko's spiritual defeat deep within his subconscious has allowed the Demon Lord to crawl back and reclaim control. He coldly tells his vessel that he made him believe he was making his own choices; otherwise, his strength of will would have been stunted. Through encounters with Lariat and Smoke-Eater, All For One learned that reclaiming One For All would require a will stronger than his own, and while All Might had him on the defensive, he began searching for a soul capable of grinding down that spiritual fortitude.

He engineered a plan for Kotaro to have a second child, knowing Hana was already too old, and the moment that child was born, he stole his Quirk Factor. He nurtured Kotaro's toxic beliefs, personally walked Tenko home that day with the truck, and secretly implanted Decay, a version of Kai Chisaki's Overhaul Quirk modified to only destroy. As Tomura crumbles under the crushing realization that every part of his life was orchestrated by this mastermind, All For One ruthlessly shatters his spirit completely. Izuku calls out All For One's name as he is forcibly expelled from Tenko's subconscious.[81]

After breaking free from the subconscious world, Tomura's body stands distorted and misshapen, fully overtaken by All For One's control. He mourns the loss of Yoichi and laments that his own goals have been thwarted. A faint, lingering will tries to speak from within, but "All For One" silences it by forming a hand over Tomura's mouth. He explains that the spiritual damage has taken its toll on the flesh, destroying Decay in the process.

Deku, battered but alive, struggles to rise, only to collapse again as the destruction in the spirit world has severed his arms in the real world. "All For One" remarks that neither of them emerged unscathed, but Izuku refuses to surrender despite his grievous loss. The villain declares his intent to forge a narrative where loss breeds strength, preparing to deliver the final blow to this child who seemingly has nothing left to lose.

Before "All For One" can claim victory, Hanta Sero rushes in, wrapping the villain tightly with Tape. All For One scoffs that his presence was so insignificant Deku's own aura masked the warning. Cellophane asks if Izuku needs saving, just as Mashirao Ojiro and Rikido Sato arrive, knocking "All For One" back with their Tornado Tail Dance and Sugar Knuckle attacks. Izuku breathes a sigh of relief, grateful they're all still alive. Suddenly, through a Warp Gate behind him, Eraser Head appears, apologizing for the delay.[81]

Everyone vs. All For One#

After managing to gather all the other Heroes, they begin to initiate Eraser Head's Phase 3 of his Divide and Conquer plan. Joining alongside Eraser Head, several other Warp Gates open up, with "All For One" mockingly saying they've come to get their Quirks stolen.

Eraser Head leans down to check on Izuku, asking how long has it been since he lost his arms. Izuku says he isn't sure how much time passed while in the Vestige world. Eraser pulls out Eri's horn and injects it into Izuku's shoulder, allowing his arms to rewind back to before they got destroyed. Eraser tells Deku he can't die until he's heard Eri sing, as the Heroes begin making their way out of the portals.[49]

Emerging from the Warp Gates are the remaining active Heroes. Even despite the injuries many of them received, all inspired by Izuku continuing to fight against the odds, they all stand firm, declaring "We are Here!"

"All For One" dismisses the army before him as a dull, ashen flesh. Jus then, Shoto and Endeavor come out of each of the portals, and the father-son duo both unleash a Flashfire Fist against "All For One" before Hanta reels them in with his tape.

Present Mic comes out of another portal, saying every available body is here, and shouts that today marks a turning point, as the army of Heroes rush in for one last big job. "All For One" prepares an attack to absolutely decimate the Heroes. Before he can launch an attack, Thirteen rides in on Hound Dog, using her Black Hole to pull him back. Gang Orca comes in from above and unleashes an ultrasonic wave alongside fingers from Seiji' Meatball Quirk from the other side. As "All For One" begins to unleash an attack to sweep them all away, Burnin and other Heroes are able to divert his attack. The Heroes say that it takes dozens of them to counter even just one attack, and that this isn't a fight of even terms. Itsuka Kendo tells them all to not let him split them up, and to fight as a cohesive unit.

Izuku tries to join them, but his body collapses from fatigue. Eraser Head tells him that up until he lost his arms, his injuries hadn't gone away from his battle. Izuku tells Eraser Head that he gave up the Quirks of One For All, but the Quirk itself was able to take root in his Quirkless body. Just like for All Might before his retirement, the ember of the Quirk is still inside him, and as long as he's got the ember, he can still stand up to All For One.

Eraser Head begins to hand Izuku the supplies he was given by the evacuees, including the shirt which Izuku immediately recognizes as the Men's Non-No Brand, Series Five, One-Size All Might T-Shirt. Yuga offers up his hand to Izuku , asking him to run with them, as they need his strength just like he needs theirs. People across Japan watching the broadcasted fight begin to cheer for Izuku to do his best, as the young man begins to run forward into the final battle.[82]

While running, Izuku and Yuga get separated by an attack from underground. Yuga tells him to run. Eraser Head calls out to "Kurogiri" to use Warp Gate, however his body begins melting away. As the earth beneath the Heroes begins to break, Izuku continues to run forward, while other Heroes continue their attack. Nothing they do is able to do any substantial damage, but Eraser tells them all to carve out a straight path in between Deku and All For One. The latter begins to use his Omni-Factor Unleash, as it lets him exercise control and authority over his myriad powers, and tells the Heroes to not assume to have him outnumbered.

"All For One" fires a massive laser against Izuku, however Toru is able to come in and redirect the attack. Momo was able to create an Electromagnetic Rail Gun, and with Denki as the battery, is able to launch it alongside Toru's redirection against "All For One". The Villain continues to attack the Heroes, but before Izuku can counterattack, Hanta, Rikido, Mashirao, Koda, and several Class B members are able to tank the barrage.

Izuku gets grabbed by Mezo's Dupli-Arms and Tsuyu's tongue and carry him part way there. The duo launch Izuku further as he thanks them both. As he lands, a large structure is about to crush him, but Eijiro, Mina, and Fat Gum are able to come in and push it away from Izuku..

With help from Gentle, Izuku is able to dodge more of "All For One"'s attacks. As Deku almost tumbles down, Tenya Ida is able to rush in and stop his fall. "All For One" is about to fire another attack, but realizes his face is beginning to crack. With one more push, the young man delivers a powerful punch towards "All For One"'s chest.[83]

"All For One" realizes that his Hyper Regeneration isn't working, and that he should have realized something was wrong sooner. Individually, the Heroes only represent a feeble threat, but as a united force, they could somehow overwhelm him and dull his senses without him realizing. In addition, when Deku forced the Vestiges into Tomura's core, not only was his spirit destroyed, but Tomura's body as well. Due to the stockpiling powers each Quirks Izuku transferred, Tomura's body begins to crack and shatter, as all the Quirks he unleashed across the battlefield begin to do the same.

However, "All For One" is able to haphazardly use his Quirks to keep his body pulled together. With anger in his eyes returned to him, he shouts that only his dream gets to come true. He just needs to repeat what he did with Tomura and grant Izuku or anyone else his Quirk Factor to claim them as a new vessel. Izuku charges at All For One's body once more.

Just then, Kurogiri sees that Izuku is about to deliver the finishing blow to Tomura's body. Present Mic calls out to Oboro, as the latter thinks back to his time with Tomura. He apologizes to Eraser and Mic, and warps right in front of Izuku to block the attack, as he must protect Tomura Shigaraki. The Nomu, despite seemingly losing power, tells All For One to give Tomura his body back, as his friends are waiting for him.

Suddenly, Katsuki comes in and blasts the Warp Gate out of Izuku's way with an Explosion from his mouth, causing Kurogiri to fade away. Izuku tells "All For One" that he can't look past what he's done, but that he's not a monster beyond understanding, nor is he some kind of "Demon Lord". Despite "All For One" telling him to not look at him, Izuku tells him that all he is is a lonely man, as he begins to deliver the finishing punch.

Within the Vestige world, Izuku reawaken the Vestiges of One For All and Tomura within. All the Vestiges appear to deliver their own decisive punch, destroying All For One in the Vestige world as Izuku lands his final punch against Tomura's body in the real world.

Despite taking his body back, Tomura begins to crumble. Tomura tells Izuku that if Spinner managed to survive the war, to tell him that even to the bitter end, "Tomura Shigaraki kept fighting to destroy". Izuku tells him that it's already been destroyed, but Tomura says that will depend on what the Heroes decide to do tomorrow, and tells Izuku to "do his damn best", with a genuine smile on his face. With his final punch, Izuku was able to clear the storm clouds in the sky away, as Tomura finally succumbs to his injuries and dies with his body crumbling into nothing, ending the Final War, and All For One's reign of terror, once and for all.[84]

Aftermath#

A week after the battle, the gusts from Izuku's punch continued to be felt across the world, creating strong breezes that cleared storm clouds as far as the United States. Nations from across the world managed to come over to Japan in order to help with their restoration efforts.

While recovering at Central Hospital, Naomasa managed to arrange it so that Izuku and Toshinori would be able to share a room with each other. Izuku is regretful that despite everything he managed to do, he couldn't save Tenko's life, and that despite reaching into his heart and shattering his hatred, he still remained the League of Villain's leader till the very end. Toshinori asks Izuku to ask himself what Tenko's face looked like in the end, and that if he didn't look like the crying child, he saved his soul at the very least, and that Izuku did his duty to One For All. Toshinori says he felt Izuku pass the Quirk on during the fight, and as the young man says he still has the ember inside him, Katsuki and his family barge in.

Izuku is relieved that Katsuki is okay, but the Explosion user is more fixated on the fact that Izuku is once again Quirkless. The former ninth wielder puts on a brave face, telling his former childhood bully that since he didn't have a Quirk in the first place, he shouldn't be too broken up about it, and that he still had a glimpse of the most amazing dream. As the reality of the situation begins to settle in, Katsuki starts remembering the way he treated Izuku before coming to U.A., their rematch that cemented the two of them as rivals, and his final encouragement towards Izuku during the final battle. As the realization of what he's done to Izuku finally hits, Katsuki begins to cry.

Izuku is surprised at his tears, as Katsuki admits he thought the two of them would be competing with each other for the rest of their lives. Izuku begins to get teary eyed himself and tries to assure Katsuki that he still has the ember inside him for the time being. Toshinori looks at the two young men and admires how strong they've both become. How Izuku was already a great hero in his eyes the day they met, but now he's encouraging the world to get back on its feet. How Katsuki made sure that he'd still be around in order to say these things. To his pair of great Heroes, Toshinori says thank you.

Eventually, all three of them recover from the hospital, with part of Izuku's face being permanently scarred during the fight with Tomura. Izuku and Katsuki rejoin the now Class 2-A. While the fight may be over, they will still continue to lead the way for a bright future, and to go further beyond.[85]
