St. Louis Smash is an Ultimate Move performed by Deku using the One For All Quirk.
Description#
Deku propels himself off the ground into the air above his opponent and arches his leg back. He uses Full Cowl - Shoot Style to focus One For All into his leg before swinging it around and delivering a strong vertical roundhouse kick to his opponent's face.
A direct hit is powerful enough to incapacitate Gentle Criminal while empowered by La Brava's Lover Mode.[1] Combined with Katsuki Bakugo's Explode-A-Pult move, Deku uses the burst of momentum and performs St. Louis Smash in the form of a diving front kick.[2]
Deku uses St. Louis Smash to defeat a jailbreaker hours before the Gollini Invasion starts. He later uses this move against Dark Might during their fight, which incapacitates him and knocks him unconscious.[3]
Variations#
St. Louis Smash Air Force: Deku performs St. Louis Smash using 45 percent of his power, creating a massive gust of compressed air.[4]
Trivia#
- This move seems to pay homage to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.
