Howitzer Impact is an Ultimate Move performed by Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight using the Explosion Quirk.
Description#
Dynamight takes to the air and uses Explosions from both hands to propel himself in a circular motion, creating a horizontal tornado of smoke. This twister collects oxygen and momentum to fuel an enhanced blast that Dynamight releases upon impact with his target. This technique is one of the strongest in Dynamight's arsenal and he often uses it as a finishing move, with its effectiveness and destructive power being comparable to that of a missile.
He has also shown that he can release the fueled Explosion in mid-air, without having to make contact with the target.[1] Dynamight is capable of maintaining the tornado's gyration even as he attacks, as shown during his battles with Nine,[2] the Serpenters,[3] and All For One.[4]
Dynamight first uses it during his match with Shoto in the U.A. Sports Festival. It had enough destructive force to completely destroy Shoto's ice walls that he used to try and block the attack.[5]
During the I-Island Incident, Dynamight uses this move to easily defeat Daigo in his beast form.[1]
In Deku and Dynamight's rematch with Nine, Dynamight, in conjunction with Deku's Detroit Smash, attempts to use this move to thwart a powerful tornado created by the Villain, though to no avail.[2]
During Dynamight's clash with the Serpenters, he manages to use this move to defeat the pair after trapping them in rubble. The attack is so powerful that it reduced the entrance of the Humarise headquarters to rubble, leaving the Serpenters trapped under the debris.[3]
During the Gollini Invasion, when first facing Dark Might alongside Deku, Shoto, and Giulio Gandini, Dynamight uses Howitzer Impact to blow apart Dark Might's alchemical bodysuit. Against the Villain's alchemical monster form in a rematch, Dynamight used the attack to blast Dark Might back, though it failed to inflict any lasting damage.[6]
During the Final War, during his clash with All For One, Dynamight unleashes a Howitzer Impact against All For One's Omni-Factor Unleash. Using the full-body upgrade Cluster allowed him at the time, and maintaining the gyration even as he attacks, this attack's power increased significantly, before hitting All For One directly on the head and blowing up the surface of the Omni-Factor Unleash. He then overcomes All For One's retaliation by firing dozens of explosions all over the giant mass in AP Machine-Gun, reducing his mutated body to just his upper torso and head.[4] After one final, point-blank explosion, the aftermath of the attack rewound All For One into an infant within a massive crater.[7]

Howitzer Impact: Cluster: Dynamight employs the Cluster technique and the Strafe Panzer support item to empower his Howitzer Impact by creating larger explosions to propel himself with, as well as launching explosions in all directions. This version of the attack is far more destructive and powerful than the original, with the explosions being sprayed in numerous directions. Dynamight first uses this move against Tomura Shigaraki during the Final War.[8]
