Extras is the one hundred and forty-seventh episode of the My Hero Academia anime and the ninth episode of the seventh season.
Summary#
With Dabi now neutralized by Shoto, the other Heroes stationed at Kamino Ward can focus on dealing with the remaining Villains and their Near High-End Nomu, securing the first victory in the Heroes' battle against the Paranormal Liberation Front. Per the advice of Naomasa to boost morale, All Might details the news to the other Heroes scattered across Japan, which further motivates them to fight harder as the heavy hitters of their respective Villain groups start going on the offensive.
In the Jaku General Hospital Ruins, at the site of Gigantomachia's containment when he fell unconscious during the Paranormal Liberation War, a team of Heroes led by Mt. Lady are defending it against a group of Villains attempting to free him. One of the Liberation soldiers addresses the Heroes, referencing one of them they killed during the War, causing Pinky to realize they are talking about Midnight. Red Riot then returns to back her up, motivated by Shoto's success.
At the site of Operation Troy, Fat Gum and Can't Stop Twinkling are confronted by the Tartarus escapee, Kunieda, one of the assassin's originally hired by All For One, who quickly deduces the Heroes' intentions upon splitting them up. He addresses Can't Stop Twinkling, saying that he will take him out for betraying All For One, which the young Hero responds confidently.
At Central Hospital, Spinner has been tasked with freeing Kurogiri alongside an army of heteromorphs, clashing with the likes of the police, Rock Lock, Tentacole, Anima, and Present Mic. The Villain has now grown significantly taller and more muscular, as he was given extra Quirks by All For One in order to help him live up to what he's "destined" to be. While it gave him a tremendous boost in raw physical strength, the stress of the extra Quirks has caused him to start losing his mind. He angrily declares that Dabi could never have lost that easily, and calls upon his forces to charge the Hospital.
The group at Kamino Ward manage to defeat all their opponents, as Ingenium kneels next to Shoto to comfort his friend from the emotionally charged fight he just had. As Dabi is picked up by Kido, who wonders how he's still alive, a faint purple glow starts emanating from the Villain's chest.
At the Gunga Mountain Villa Ruins, All For One decides to weaponize the good news against Endeavor, provocatively saying that the No. 1 Hero made the decision to ruin the lives of both his sons by greed, and being here to fight him is just a poor justification for all his past mistakes. Hawks and Endeavor ignore his words and rush into fulfilling their role in the fight: to destroy All For One's life support system and wreck his bodily functions. Keeping their distance to prevent their Quirks from being stolen, Hawks and Endeavor quickly force All For One on the defensive.
The Villain takes another swing at getting under Endeavor's skin, who's currently beating down his Hardflame Fan with a flurry of Vanishing Fists, while Hawks blocks any potential counterattacks he might throw out. As the Hero's attacks start getting messier and he begins ignoring Hawks' warnings to keep a cool head, Endeavor finally snaps as All For One "suggests" that the man thank him for finding his son, saving him, and giving him the opportunity to reunite with his father.
Now learning the truth behind Toya's return, Endeavor loses his composure and blasts massive amounts of flames while raging at his opponent, which leaves him wide open for All For One to sneakily take down his barrier and tear a chunk of the Hero's torso with a spiked, monstrous head he grew from his forearm.
With Endeavor beginning to fall to the forest below, All For One turns to Hawks and fires a combination of Radio Waves and Air Cannon at him, while the Hero tries to send his feathers down to catch his ally. The attack is suddenly intercepted by a competing blast of sound waves, courtesy of Earphone Jack flying atop of Tsukuyomi using Black Fallen Angel.
The two students' arrival only annoys All For One, as they remind him of the "side characters" he hated so much that appeared in the comic books he used to read. The pair stay in spite of Hawks' warnings to stay away, as Tsukuyomi brings up that he and his friend were tasked with backing up him and Endeavor if their fight with All For One reached a stalemate.
Hawks is reluctant since that condition was made with Endeavor being present as well, who has thankfully survived the fall but is struggling to get back up. Remembering how his Work-Study student kept him safe in the first war and fully acknowledging that he won't take no for an answer, Hawks proudly asks Tsukuyomi to help him out once again.
All For One, now focused reuniting with Tomura as fast as possible instead of wasting more time fighting, builds up a horde of Quirks in his arm to try and take down the three Heroes before Endeavor has a chance to recover and continue fighting him. After generating a trio of gnarly heads connected by "necks" made of Rivet Stab, All For One begins to attack Earphone Jack, which she barely manages to dodge thanks to some quick maneuvering by Tsukuyomi and Hawks' feathers. Hawks moves in to keep All For One busy with his feather blades, while Tsukuyomi flies in from the side and instructs Earphone Jack to aim an attack at his life support system.
Earphone Jack hesitates as fear starts getting the better of her, which All For One quickly capitalizes on by sending an enormous, club-shaped mass of Rivet Stabs in their direction. The construct then fires a gigantic laser beam in her direction, which Hawks fails to stop with his feathers and the pair of students barely manage to dodge.
While alive, the three sustain major injuries. Hawks has several slashes across his body from the spikes, Tsukuyomi is gushing blood out of his mouth, and Earphone Jack had her left jack and a huge chunk of her ear blown off. Satisfied with his work, All For One gloats at Hawks' uselessness and says that the "side characters" overestimated their strength to take on the Demon Lord.

Anime & Manga Differences#
- The anime expands on the fights in Kamino, Jaku, U.A., Takoba, Troy, and Central Hospital.
- When Kunieda threatens the lives of Can't Stop Twinkling and Fat Gum, the anime adds an additional flashback of All For One.
- The anime expands on the flashback of Spinner receiving Body Bulk by providing additional flashbacks with All For One telling Spinner that he needs power to become "the leader of the heteromorphs", and by showing a silhouette of Spinner's body bulking up after receiving said Quirk.
