He introduces himself as himself Kurogiri, a member of the League of Villains, and that their goal is to kill. Katsuki and Eijiro attack him but fail to do any damage. Kurogiri counterattacks by spreading his dark mist to envelop all the students.

When the dark fog disperses, it is discovered that most of the Class 1-A students have been warped to different areas of U.S.J. The students surround the teacher to protect her from Kurogiri, and Rikido shouts to Tenya about running for help, which he does.[9]

Kurogiri chases him, but Ochaco grabs onto Kurogiri's plates around his neck (after surmising that those plates are part of his real body) and uses her Zero Gravity quirk to launch him into the air. Hanta uses his Tape to catch Kurogiri and passes it to Rikido. who uses his enhanced strength to pull him away from Tenya, ensuring his classmate escape to call for backup.

Rikido smiles happily as he sees that the first to arrive is All Might,[10] who quickly defeats most of the villains in the plaza, saving an injured Shota. Shortly after, Izuku, Shoto, Katsuki, and Eijiro arrive to help in the fight against Tomura, Kurogiri, and a being they call Nomu. Cementoss explains the 30-minute test; Rikido and Eijiro must either handcuff him or one of them must escape the battlefield within 30 minutes in order to win and pass the test. The test begins.[19]

Eijiro and Rikido keep smashing their way through Cementoss' cement walls, but the more walls they destroy, the more walls Cementoss creates to keep them at bay. Cementoss tells Eijiro and Rikido that their weaknesses are drawn out battles and advises the duo to push their strength to the limit. When Katsuki arrives and challenges Izuku, the boys opt to compete against each other by sprinting down the pool. Shota arrives to kicking all the students out of the pool area due to the expiration of their time limit.[23]

On the day of the summer camp, they are informed that the new destination will be a mountainous region, owned by the professional Hero Team, the Wild, Wild Pussycats, where they will undergo reinforcement training to strengthen and upgrade their Quirks. Class 1-A's bus stops for a restroom break, where they meet Pixie-Bob and Mandalay, who challenge the students to reach base camp past the forest in three hours. Then, all Class 1-A is forcibly thrown into the Beast's Forest by Pixie-Bob's Quirk.

Shota, however, forces the remedials to sit out for more teaching, much to their displeasure.[28] The Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains invade that night. Mandalay sends out a telepathic message warning the students of their arrival.[29]

Shortly after Shota leaves, Mandalay sends out two more messages giving permission for students to fight back[30] and informing everyone that Katsuki is one of the villain's targets.[31] While Vlad King is watching over the students, they are atacked by Dabi, who blasts the door open with a flame attack. Vlad King acts quickly and moves the students out of the way before restraining the villain with his Quirk, but it turns out to be nothing more than a copy sent there to distract them.[32]

The villains successfully kidnap Katsuki and the students return home from camp.

Hideout Raid Arc#

Two days later, Rikido visits Izuku in the hospital along with many of his peers, where he hears Eijiro and Shoto's plan to rescue Katsuki, asking Izuku to join them. Although he does not oppose the intentions of his classmates, Rikido does nothing to stop them.[33]

Shota meets with his students outside of their new residence. He states they must start preparing to get provisional hero licenses like they had planned to during the training camp.

Before allowing Class 1-A students to go in, Shota scold them all for disobeying the rules, allowing five students to rescue Katsuki and did nothing to stop them. He further more says he would have expelled everyone but Katsuki, Toru and Kyoka (due to them being captured and hospitalized, respectively) from the school, if it weren't for All Might's sudden retirement and asked them to stick to the rules from now on.

Afterwards, the class explore their new dorm. Later that night, after everyone moved in and decorated their respective bedrooms, the girls suggest a room showcasing competition.[34] The class looks at each others room, until they check out Rikido's. Rikido remembers he was baking a cake for everyone since he finished remodeling his room early, and shared the cake with everyone his classmates, much to the delight of the girls. Denki and Minoru moan about this surprising side to Rikido.

Back in the common space on the first floor, the votes are tallied and the Room King Award goes to Rikido, much to Rikido's surprise. Rikido received his votes from the girls because his cake was delicious, which makes Denki and Minoru accuse Rikido of bribing. Rikido trains his Quirk until the day of the Provisional Hero License Exam. Outside of the National Dagobah Arena, Class 1-A meets with students from Shiketsu High School and Ketsubutsu Academy High School. Before the exam starts, Yokumiru Mera from the Hero Public Safety Commission explains that the first part of the exam involves thinning out the amount of people who can succeed by playing a game, where people put three targets on their body and are given six balls to throw at the other examinee's marks. Those whose targets have been hit are disqualified. Participants need to eliminate two students to move on to the next phase of the exam.[37]

As the exam starts, the students of the other schools focus entirely on U.A. However, Class 1-A is able to defend themselves and avoid being hit by the balls. Yo Shindo tells his fellow classmates that he will shatter their solid defense, and uses his Vibrate Quirk on the ground, unleashing a powerful earthquake that completely shatters the ground and and causing members of Class 1-A to disperse. Due to this attack, Rikido gets scattered, and have to defend himself from the attacks of the rest of the participants while looks for his classmates.[38]

Thanks to him firing his laser into the sky, Rikido and the remaining Class 1-A students that still has not passed the exam get together again, and they collaborate to eliminate the opponents. This ends with the entire Class A passing the first part of the exam.[39]

Rikido waits until the Second Exam of the Provisional Hero License Exam begins. It consists of a rescue mission, the scenario is a terrorist attack and the participants are expected to rescue H.U.C. employees who act as victims. Rikido sticks with the rest of his class, and under Momo's direction, he helps his classmates to rescue the "victims" from the rubbles.[40] Because their rescue maneuvers were good, Rikido passes the second exam, so he receives his provisional license.[41]

Like the entire Class 1-A, Rikido is confused by the eccentric personalities of the Big 3, and is also surprised when Mirio challenges them all to a fight. At Gym Gamma, the entire Class 1-A attacks him, but Mirio manages to defeat the entire Class 1-A alone without breaking a sweat thanks to his Quirk Permeation.[43]

After the fight, while Class 1-A recovers from their defeat, Mirio advises them to participate in the course, since it will help them improve their abilities and career as heroes, just as it happened to him.[44]

Remedial Course Arc#

Weeks later, Rikido and his classmates are aware of the police raid on Shie Hassaikai in which Izuku, Eijiro, Ochaco and Tsuyu participated, being concerned about them because of how the police operation ended. So, when they return to their dormitories at the school, Rikido, along Class 1-A, is checking to make sure they are doing okay after their mission.

At Heights Alliance, Class 1-A along with Rikido finally decide to accept Mina's idea of carrying out a dance performance for the U.A. School Festival.[46] Class A-1 students are divided into three groups: Band team, Dance team and Staging team. Rikido is part of the dance team.[47] During the following weeks, the dance team constantly practices the choreography devised by Mina.

On the appointed day, the Class 1-A performance ends up being a huge success.[48] Rikido helps Izuku with baking the candy apple for Eri, since they did not sell that candy in any of the stands.[49]

Pro Hero Arc#

As November comes to a close, the Wild Wild Pussycats pay a visit to Class 1-A to celebrate Ragdoll's reinstatement.[50]

Joint Training Arc#

Shota Aizawa and Vlad King hold a Joint Training Battle between their classes during the early days of winter. Each class chooses lots to split into five teams of four. As the teams are set, Rikido is placed with Katsuki Bakugo, Kyoka Jiro, and Hanta Sero, and they will face Class B's team of Yosetsu Awase, Setsuna Tokage, Kojiro Bondo, and Togaru Kamakiri at Round 4.[51]

Before the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle, Katsuki tells his teammates that he wants to take the lead and charge ahead with the others serving as back up. Katsuki gives each of them one of his grenades and tells them that he'll save them if they get in trouble and asks them to do the same for him. When the round start Katsuki rudely tells Hanta and Rikido to follow his lead and orders Kyoka listens for the other team while trailing them. Rikido groans over Katsuki's behavior, noting that he has not changed since the Sports Festival.

Class 1-A charges through Ground Gamma when they are ambushed by Class 1-B team. Setsuna's Quirk lets her spread out her separated limbs throughout the field and uses her tiny body parts to attack them. They barrage Katsuki with rapid-fire small hits and Hanta uses Barricade Tape to protect his team, so that the lizard parts cannot attack and proceeds to call Katsuki over.

Setsuna says that they are done for. Kojiro appears and uses Glue Squall to spray his adhesive all over Hanta's tape barricade. Hanta tries to lead the three of them away but Togaru uses his Quirk to slash a large pipe that crashes down toward the other team. Rikido tries to sacrifice himself to hold it up but Katsuki manages to fire a large enough explosion to save his team.[52]

Class 1-B decides to retreat after seeing that his plan has failed, but Katsuki is not willing to allow it and chase them. Yosetsu catches Katsuki off-guard with his newly developed Super Move, Construction-Done-Kwik: Weldcraft, binding him to the surrounding structures. Although Katsuki struggles to break out of Yosetsu's trap, Rikido arrives and free Katsuki from his restraints with his Sugar Rush Super Move.

Once Katsuki is released, one by one the different members of the class 1-B team are defeated and captured by the Class 1-A lead by Katsuki, with little to do to counterattack or defend themselves.[53] The fourth Round of the Joint Training Battle ends with Class 1-Ascoring a perfect victory with 4-0. Shota Aizawa commends Team 1-A for being able to cooperate well enough to reduce battlefield damage and efficiently capture the opposing opponents without any hassle.[54]

After the match, Rikido watches the last round. When a mysterious and uncontrollable power arises from Izuku's arm he wonders if it's some kind of new technique.[55] Fortunately Izuku controls this new power and ends up winning his round, granting Class 1-A victory in the Joint Training Battle.[56] Despite their victory over Class 1-B, there are no hard feelings, and both classes hanging out together after the exercise, happily socializing in the common area.[57]

My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising#

During fall, the Hero Public Safety Commission devises the Hero Work Recommendation Project, to help to train the new generation of Heroes due All Might retirement. Weeks go by, and shortly after winter begins, after the Hero Interview Training, Class 1-A is sent to Nabu Island, a remote place in southern Japan. The Pro Heroes who protected the island are about to retire, so the students will take care of the place, performing duties as real heroes acting like their own "Hero Office", until the arrival of new Pro Heroes.

Because Nabu Island is quite isolated from the rest of the country, and therefore far from any villain activity, there has been no notable incident since the last thirty years. For this reason, their work on the island basically involve mostly minor deeds. Rikido works as a lifesaver on the beach with several of his classmates. Mezo spots a kid in trouble. Tsuyu dives into the water to help grab him while Rikido rows the boat to save the boy. Rowing up there exhausts Rikido a lot, so when he picks up the boy the latter starts crying, much to Sato's confusion. Tsuyu tells him the boy is scared of his exhausted face.

The next day, while the majority of class 1-A waits in the office waiting for a request, a neighbor and Fumikage arrive to report that the island is being attacked by a group of villains. Have quickly organize the class to face them. Rikido, along with Tenya, Shoto, Fumikage, and Hanta head to the beach to help Mashirao and Shoji in their fight against the villain Chimera. Once there, despite outnumbering him, Chimera is superior to the students. Collaborating with Fumikage, Rikido attacks him from the sky, but the villain uses his immense strength to strike the young hero. Even though Rikido blocked the blow, the powerful punch throws him against the rocks, knocking him unconscious. The remaining students continue fighting until Chimera must withdraw when he sees a sign from one of his classmates in the sky.

At night, the students retreat to a factory to heal their wounds and provide first aid to the inhabitants of the island. Later, they have a meeting where they discover that the objective of the villain leader, Nine, is to steal the Cell Activation Quirk from a boy named Katsuma. With this information, they devise a plan to approach them in front and keep civilians safe. The plan is to lure the villains to the furthest corner of the island where ancient castle ruins are. Rikido, Koji and Toru will lead the island's citizens and livestock into a cave to hide. Meanwhile, the rest of the Class 1-A will fight the villains.

Because of the powers unleashed by Nine during the confrontation, he causes a cave-in, trapping Koji, Rikido and Toru along with the civilians in the cave. Sato uses his enormous strength to prevent the rocks from falling on the civilians, while ordering his companions to take them to the bottom. Although the entrance is sealed, Rikido manages that no one else is injured. After this, everyone remains locked up until a few hours later several pro heroes arrive on the island and get them out of there, providing first aid. During the time they remained in the cave, Rikido's classmates managed to defeat Nine and his allies. The students recover from their injuries and help with reconstruction tasks before returning to the U.A. High School.[58]

Endeavor Agency Arc#

Class 1-A participates in a Hero Interview Training taught by Mt. Lady. While Shoto shows his Super Move, Flashfreeze Heatwave, which Rikido and Toru mistakenly recognise as Endeavor's Flashfire Fist.[59]

Days later, the Hero Work Recommendation Project takes place, and Class 1-A stays on Nabu Island before returning to U.A.[58] With the Work-Studies about to start during the Winter Break, Class 1-A celebrates Christmas at Heights Alliance. Rikido helps with the preparation of the food for the Christmas party such as a turkey, demonstrating he has cooking skills beyond just baking. He also feeds Katsuki. Then, the whole class participates in a random gift exchange in the dorms.[60]

With the start of the second Hero-Work Study, Rikido and Mashirao team up with Jurota and Nirengeki to be trained by the hero Shishido.[61]

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission#

As a member of the Shishido Agency, Rikido participates in the World Heroes Association's mission to take down Humarise, an anti-Quirk cult that caused the deaths of thousands of people with a Trigger Bomb. The entire Shishido Agency travels to the U.S.A. to join the America Task Force to take part in the assault on the branch that Humarise has in the country along with many other heroes.

The raid ends with the heroes defeating and arresting hundreds of Humarise members, however no Trigger Bombs were found in the building. Because of that, the director of the WHA orders all the teams to remain alert in their respective countries. Several days later, Flect Turn, the leader of Humarise, publicly broadcasts to the entire world that in two hours they will detonate all the Trigger Bombs they have planted in the twenty-five cities where its branches used to be, including New York.

As a consequence of this threat, panic breaks out in the streets of the city, causing numerous altercations and incidents. The heroes quickly deploy to evacuate civilians, extricate the injured, and search for the Trigger Bombs. Rikido participates in the evacuations, and when the Trigger Bombs are found, he also participates in the fights against the Humarise agents who are protecting the deadly devices.

The fighting continues until the detonation countdown ends, but to the relief of the heroes, the bombs do not explode. This is thanks to Izuku's group breaking into Humarise's main headquarters and successfully defusing the bombs worldwide. With the main threat solved, the heroes defeat and imprison the last members of Humarise, dismantling the organization. Once the worldwide crisis is over, Shishido Agency leaves the country and Rikido returns to U.A. High School, meeting up with his classmates and rejoice that everyone is okay.[62]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc#

Winter break ends and the students return from their Work-Studies to show their progress with their Quirks and skills.[63] At Ground Alpha, under the supervision of All Might, the students battle Villain Bots to show off the new skills and Super Moves they have developed.

Rikido and Mashirao, who worked with the No. 13 Pro Hero, Shishido, show off their improved attacking speed and predictive abilities.[64] Later at night, he helps his classmates to organize a Work Study/Brainstorm/Hot pot party to energize everyone for the new term.[65]

The months go by until it's late March. The Hero Public Safety Commission had uncovered the plans of Tomura Shigaraki and his organization, the Paranormal Liberation Front. They organize a large force of heroes to take the villain organization down. While a team of heroes raid the Jaku General Hospital, where the Nomu are created, another team does the same at Gunga Mountain Villa, the Front's main headquarters.

Rikido is a member of the Villa Backup Team along with some of his classmates and Class 1-B students. Their mission is to provide support to the heroes who raid the Gunga Mountain Villa and prevent villains from escaping.[66][67]

After Tomura Shigaraki woke up and commanded Gigantomachia to go to him, Heroes try and fail to stop the walking calamity. Kyoka detects the giant and warns her teammates. Likewise, Midnight contacts the students and transmitting them what they have to do to stop the giant. Momo takes the leadership to defeat Gigantomachia and uses her Quirk to create a large number of vials of undiluted sedative,[68] giving one to each student so that at least one can make the giant swallow a vial.

Following Momo's lead, the students set the trap for Gigantomachia. Juzo uses his Quirk to soften up the ground and Momo plant explosives she created in the softened area. They also position several chords covered in Minoru's orbs.

As they planned, Gigantomachia step into the students' trap and he falls to the ground. The strings covered in Minoru's orbs stick to his chin, and while the giant tries to get out, Rikido, along with Class 2-B members Itsuka Kendo and Jurota Shishida, pull with all their might on the ropes, intending to open his mouth wide enough to allow their teammates to throw the sedative inside him. Despite their efforts, Gigantomachia and the members of the League manage to repel the students.[69]

Fortunately, Eijiro manages to throw a vial into Gigantomachia's mouth, and when the giant is about to crush him, Rikido and other students start shooting him with cannons created by Momo, allowing Eijiro to be rescued by Setsuna Tokage. Several heroes led by Majestic arrive to take charge of Gigantomachia now that he has ingested the sedative, because the more he moves the faster it will spread.[70]

Gigantomachia takes on an armored appearance and easily defeats heroes, and continues on his way to Tomura. Before being killed, Majestic uses his Quirk to bring the U.A. students to safety, who can only watch helplessly as the giant devastates everything in his path.[71] After the battle he, along his classmates, finds out that Midnight was killed and the students start grieving over their teacher's body.[72]

Two days later, Minoru, Toru, Hanta, and Rikido see Katsuki wake up from his injuries, and are relieved that he is okay, taking his angry attitude as a sign of wellness. When Katsuki asks how everyone else is doing, they unenthusiastically explain that while most others are conscious, Izuku has shown no sign of waking up, prompting Katsuki to make his way toward Izuku's room.

Rikido and Minoru try to stop him, though Katsuki brushes it off and says that their pulling him is killing him faster.[73] Eventually, Katsuki is stopped by Tsuyu, who helps carry him away using her tongue. They notice Hawks and Best Jeanist going to Izuku's room, wanting to ask him about One For All.[74]

After the Paranormal Liberation War ended, Rikido returns to Heights Alliance with the rest of Class 1-A and receives a letter from Izuku explaining about his origins of being Quirkless and One For All, so he has to leave to guarantee their safety from All For One.[75]

Dark Hero Arc#

A few days after Izuku left U.A., Rikido is seen at a meeting with Class 1-A. He and his classmates deduce that Izuku is now working with Endeavor and his team, as well as with All Might. A few days later, impatient with their response, Class 1-A pushed forward using Endeavor's U.A. Alumni status to confront him and get him to reveal the truth.

Once Principal Nezu gives Class 1-A permission to bring back Izuku to U.A, Rikido joins with his class to search for Izuku while at the same time, apprehending any prison escapees along the way. After a month of trailing in Izuku's whereabouts, Class 1-A finally arrived on the scene to defeat the villain Dictator. When Izuku refuses to yield, he demands everyone to get out of his way, which means they'll have to fight.[76]

As the fight goes on, Izuku tells them that his presence endangers everyone and fears of All For One killing them to break him, which is why he has to stay away from them. When he starts to break out of Mashirao's tail grip, Fumikage appears and uses Dark Shadow to knock him into a building. Rikido rescues Kyoka and Mashirao, reacting to Izuku's great strength, as he yells to him that while he may have a special power, they all share the same feelings, and to think about what they said, or else he won't let him use food coloring for Eri's candy apples, which Izuku attempts to brush off.[77]

Once Izuku was caught up by Tenya, Rikido regroups with the rest of Class 1-A and listens to Katsuki apologizing to Izuku before he collapses from shock and exhaustion. He escorts Izuku safely with the rest of Class 1-A to return to a heavily fortified U.A. High where they are confronted by angry protesting civilians.[78] They are aware that Tomura is after Izuku and fear them being in danger, leading Ochaco to give a pleading speech toward the crowd on why he needs their help and deserves to stay and rest, with the civilians eventually agreeing.[79]

Izuku is escorted inside, where Rikido and the other boys of the class quickly strip him of his dirty clothes, washing him vigorously and then dump him in the bathtub before joining in. After finishing the bath, Izuku finally passes out from exhaustion, and Rikido joins the rest of the class in declaring they'll do whatever they can to bring back the world and make it better.[80]

U.A. Traitor Arc#

Two days later, Class 1-A learn that during this time, Tomura had fought American No. 1 Hero, Star and Stripe, and while she was killed during the battle with Tomura successfully stealing her Quirk, New Order, thanks to her actions, the Quirk acted like a virus within his body, destroying several of his Quirks and delaying his procedure by about a week. All Might informs all this to the class, telling them that this is now their perfect time to prepare for the inevitable all-out war.[81] The class reveals over the past month they had been training with the Wild, Wild Pussycats in order to keep up with Izuku in the incoming conflict, and are now about to head out to continue their training.[82]

The class proceed to train amongst themselves in the courtyards outside. Shortly after this, Rikido alongside the rest of the class discover the news that Izuku has captured the Aoyamas and revealing Yuga to be the traitor who isolated the class at the U.S.J. and revealed the location of their training camp. Once the Aoyamas are restrained, he and the other class refuse to back down from the news despite Nezu's request, all in stunned and tears of Yuga's betrayal. He listens to Yuga's desperation that drove him to despair and then Izuku pleading to let Yuga help them, leading the class to realize Yuga may be the only one able to deceive All For One.[83]

Shota then appears on a tablet screen, taking full responsibility and reveals that he has an idea. He listened to Shota's plan after the Aoyama Family's ears have been covered. Naomasa then has the Aoyama Family escorted back to their HQ, telling everyone not to say a word to anyone else about the plan while he and the rest of the class look on sullenly.

Back at Heights Alliance, Rikido takes a breather, before getting ready to gear back up, as he and everyone, with fire and rage in their eyes over the betrayal, prepares to bring All For One down once and for all.[84] He joins up with their "Search Squad" to head out to hunt down the villains.[85]

Later that night, he and his classmates return to Heights Alliance for a break after coming up empty from their search. All Might, Naomasa, and Nezu then arrive, informing them all about their secret finalized plans for the upcoming Second War.[86]

To everyone's pleasant surprise, All Might brings Hitoshi along, and explains that they will be using his Quirk to trick All For One. Like many of his classmates, Rikido is happy that he can help in the incoming battle and starts cherfully praising him, even asking him to join Class A.[87]

The next day, Nezu announces to the civilians that Tomura will make his big move in 4 days, with Class 1-A moving outside of the U.A. barrier to began prioritizing their safety. He says his goodbyes to his relatives before moving whit his classmates out of Heights Alliance and into its upgraded makeshift fortress called "Troy".[86]

My Hero Academia: You're Next#

During Class 1-A's Quirk training, in preparation to hunt down Tomura and the remaining members of the Paranormal Liberation Front, Class-A swarm in to see Izuku's notebook and find out what he has written about them. The class is impressed with the depth of Izuku's casual analysis of them, though Katsuki takes offense by what was written about him, and Tenya rushes to try to calm him down. All Might walks up to the class and says it's time to move out, as the students take off in an armored van to track down the Villains.[88]

Throughout the month, Rikido is a member of Team 1 of Class 1-A, consisting of Katsuki, Fumikage, Eijio, Koji, and Mina, to apprehend all the Jailbreakers who escaped from Tartarus and other maximum-security prisons across the country. The team rendezvous with Teams 2 and 3 for a break from combat, taking the chance to motivate each other, relax, and complain about the Villains. However, they're suddenly attacked by a group of rogue Villains intent on stealing one of the Heroes' armored trucks. The U.A. students, expecting the attack, fight back and defeat them. The Villains are handed over to the police as All Might informs the students of new Villain sightings, and they split into three groups, following up on the reports.[89]

Later, he and his team defeated four Jailbreaker villains and took them to the nearest police station. Team 1 contacts Team 2 and 3 at a police station, who've also apprehended more villains and escapees. Hawks, via the Counter-Force, give the teams their next assignment: apprehend a Tartarus escapee, Ginji Kurau, who has been spotted nearby.

Rikido and Team 1 heads over to apprehend Ginji before the other team does, , led by Izuku, is the first to encounter the Jailbreaker, discovering that he is holding a woman named Anna Scervino. Izuku faces Ginji but the fight is interrupted first by Giulio Gandini, who tries to kill Anna, and then by the arrival of the Gollini Family, a mafia organization consisting of Bruno, Kamile, Deborah Gollini, Paulo, Simon, Ugo, Gil, and their masked leader, Valdo Gollini.

They take Anna, whom Deborah hypnotizes, and then Valdo undoes his mask, revealing that he has the appearance of prime All Might. After brutally defeating Ginji, he uses his Alchemy Quirk to create a microphone and several cameras and drones, hacking into every communication network. He announces to the country that he has come to "save Japan" from their despair caused by the war and vows that he will use his strength and power to promote justice and become the next Symbol of Peace in honor of All Might’s god-like powers.

Izuku calls him out with disgust over using violence and putting innocent civilians in danger, taiting All Might's legacy. Hearing his words, Valdo decides to prove Izuku wrong by using his powers. He touches the hypnotized Anna, and his powers tremendously increase as he uses his Quirk to transform their floating ship into a massive fortress, consuming everything in its path in an ocean of light.

Teams 1, 2, and 3 witness the rapid expansion of the transformation. The transformation light consumes Teams 2 and 3. In a panic, Team 2 tries to flee from the city in their truck, but the light is too fast and catches up with them, consuming Team 1 into the Fortress of All Might. Rikido and his teammates regain consciousness and, along with his classmates, end up in different areas of the fortress, but they cannot communicate. His team ended up in a night amusement park with a castle in the back end. Katsuki decides the team heads to the outside world to find a way around the fortress.

They enter a castle in the amusement park and charge right in, where they encounter Valdo, now calling himself Dark Might and dressed in very flashy masquerade costume. The villain welcomes them to the Symbol of Paradise, which is what he calls his flying fortress, and explains that people admired All Might for his great power, and that he has decided to test them to prove they are worthy of joining his organization once he becomes All Might's successor as the new Symbol of Peace.

Speaking for his teammates, Katsuki refuses to accept the villain's proposal, claiming that, except for his physical appearance, he bears no resemblance to the real All Might. Outraged, Dark Might, who wants to test them to see if any are All Might's successors, sends them to an underground dungeon where Simon is waiting for them. He uses his Monster Summon Quirk to conjure multiple monsters, forcing them to fight their way out while Simon watches them on several screens, eagerly waiting to see who is going to survive the battle.

Fortunately, Rikido and his team manage to find Simon by brute forcing their way through, and Katsuki defeats him by unleashing a large explosion. After being defeated, Dark Might promptly drops Simon into a void as punishment for his failure. He praises the students efforts, but they will die in his fortress and summon more monsters to eliminate Team 1 completely. Despite this, they blow their way out of the dungeon and into the town after defeating Dark Might's puppet monsters, encountering the rest of the Class A teams and the kidnapped civilians as well as Giulio.

During their absence, Giulio told to their classmates he was a butler who worked for Anna's family, since thanks to his Neutralization Quirk he could keep Anna's under control. Her Quirk, Overmodification, allows her to greatly enhance the Quirk factors of some compatible individuals. However, her quirk was becoming more uncontrollable and dangerous as time went by. The situation worsened after the Gollini kidnapped her and began abusing her power, which would put many lives in danger if they were not stopped. Unfortunately, Giulio explains that he had lost his right arm during Gollini's attack, so he could no longer use his Quirk, so his only option was to kill Anna before it was too late, just as Anna herself had made him promise before her kidnapping.

The members of teams 2 and 3 manage to convince Giulio to try to save Anna without having to kill her and, shortly after their arrival, team 1 also agrees to help Giulio and defeat the fake All Might.

Meanwhile, after the students had managed to defeat several of his subordinates, Dark Might orders to change the course of the flying fortress and head directly to the U.A. Shelter. He then broadcasts to the students that he will become the new Symbol of Peace when he destroys All Might and the last remnants of the Heroes still at the U.A., and he will then be the one they can rely on. Class A organize to prevent this, and while Izuku, Katsuki, Shoto, Fumikage and Giulio head to face the villains, Tenya and his classmates round up the civilians and prepare to evacuate the fortress.

While leading the civilians to safety, the students hear explosions coming from outside the flying fortress and assume it is the heroes trying to assault the Symbol of Paradise. Then they receive help from Mirio, who easily infiltrates the fortress with his Permeation and helps direct everyone towards the exit. Outside the town, thousands of monsters conjured by the fortress appear to stop them. Class 1-A volunteers to cover the civilians and fight the monsters while Mirio and some classmates escort the civilians to safety.

The class pushes back against monsters, with Rikido using his super-empowered Sugar Rush state to battle the monsters. However, Class 1-A is starting to lose the battle of attrition against the fortress monsters as every time they destroy them, more monsters keep generating, and on the verge of their defeat, the Heroes from outside manage to get inside the fortress and back them up. They keep fighting until the creatures suddenly begin to decompose, indicating that Izuku, Shoto, and Giulio had managed to defeat Dark Might. Meanwhile, Mirio manages to locate Kamille and knock him out, halting the fortress as it starts falling from the sky.

Although the danger seems to be over, Anna loses control of her Quirk, and Valdo regains consciousness and uses her enhanced properties to turn himself into a colossal monster. Giulio manages to touch Anna, and his own Neutralization Quirk becomes greatly enhanced, allowing him to use it on Anna finally. With Dark Might vulnerable, Izuku, Shoto, and Katsuki defeat him definitively.

With the Gollini Family defeated, the U.A. Shelter is safe, and everyone cheers on the Heroes and Class 1-A for their valiant victory. Rikido and the rest of class A watch as Anna decides to stay with Giulio, now that her Quirk is finally nullified for good.[90]

Final War Arc#

With the heroes' numbers dwindling rapidly, those that remain and the Counter-Force prepare themselves for an all-out Final War to defeat All For One and his the army of villains. The plan is to utilize Neito Monoma's Copy Quirk to copy Kurogiri's Warp Gate, which will not only allow the Heroes to catch the Villains off guard, but also allow them to separate the Villains all over Japan. They also plan to use Yuga as bait and lure All For One out in an open spot where they want them.

On the day of the operation, Rikido remains with Class 1-A until Izuku made contact with Yuga, successfully luring All For One and the Villains out, before the Heroes are summoned to the battlefield thanks to the Neito and Warp Gate. All Might promptly activates the "Troy" defense system, encasing the villains into cages long enough for the Heroes to push them all into separate Warp Gates, splitting them up all over Japan.[91]

Rikido, alongside Mashirao and Hanta, are sent to the Takoba National Stadium to battle a group of villains. They eventually receive word of Shoto defeating Dabi, with Rikido and Mashirao talking about how they need to congratulate Shoto properly once the battle is over.[92]

Initially, they had the upper hand after defeating the other villains present at the stadium, but they struggle against a Tartarus escapee known for wide-range devastation and battles of attrition, Gashly Eijiju. His duplications are outnumbering Rikido and the Heroes, until eventually a Warp Gate courtesy of Shota and "Kurogiri" appears above the battlefield, as reinforcements arrive to swiftly take down the villain and conclude the battle.[93]

Shota regroups with his three students at the stadium, and proceeds to warp them to Mt. Fuji to provide reinforcements for Izuku in his fight against Tomura. As a result of the battle, All For One retakes control over Tomura's body, and Izuku completely loses both of his arms. Before "All For One" can attack Izuku, Hanta appears from behind, using his Tape to hold him back. Hanta declares they're here to save him, when Mashirao and Rikido also arrive, smashing the villain back with a Tornado Tail Dance and Sugar Knuckle combo attack. Shota also emerges from the Warp Gate, apologizing for the delay.[94]

Shota declares it is time to start Phase 3 of the divide and conquer operation, as many Warp Gates begin to appear around the battlefield. "All For One" asks him if they've come to have their Quirks stolen before the remaining Heroes, including several 1-A students, arrive to back Izuku up.[93]

Some of his 1A classmates have also been teleported to the battlefield so they can help Izuku defeat "All For One". With all the Heroes assembled, they declare "We are here!"[95] As Izuku runs toward "All For One", the villain unleashed hordes of Quirk attack all over the battlefield, blasting away every Hero who gets in his way, but they all keep countering against his attacks. Shota then calls out to the Heroes through their comms, telling them to help Izuku carve a straight path to Tomura.

"All For One" sends a wave of Rivet Stabs and Black Lightning at him, but Rikido and several U.A. Hero Course students jump in the way to take the hits and block the attacks. Mashirao says he's already on his last legs and to save his strength, and Rikido adds that only his strength will be able to deal with him, so to let them tank the hits. Soon, more Heroes continue to cover Izuku long enough for him to come into direct contact with the villain and bashes him with a Smash right through his chest.[96]

Eventually, Izuku manages to defeat "All For One" once and for all, just before Tomura succumbs to his injuries and dies as his body disintegrates into ashes.[97]

One week after the end of the Final War, the restoration efforts that were stalled after the Jaku Hospital Raid have picked back up at a breakneck pace, as Heroes from around the world arrived to provide support and resources in rescue and rebuilding Japan. Once he has recovered sufficiently from his injuries, Rikido returns to the partially rebuilt U.A.[98]

Epilogue Arc#

Later, in June, Rikido attends the U.A. High Graduation along with the rest of his classmates. He watches the Third years receive their diplomas from Principal Nezu, including Tamaki, Nejire, and Mirio. Mirio also gives a motivational farewell speech, speaking about the need for a bright future where people can smile.

After graduation, Class 1-A becomes 2-A and moves to a temporary classroom, where Shota informs them that he will remain their homeroom teacher for another year, much to the class's delight. Yuga then enters to say goodbye, having decided to leave U.A. to atone for his crimes, vowing to become a true hero from scratch. To keep everyone else from crying, he shoots his Navel Laser everywhere.

Yuga then reveals that Hitoshi will be taking his place as Class A's newest member. Rikido and several of his classmates are happy about it. Feeling left out by everyone's excitement over Hitoshi, Yuga shoots his lasers again, asking his former classmates to start planning his farewell party.

After things calmed down, their senior Mawata Fuwa announces that during the next weeks, the second and third-year students will participate in reconstruction and patrol tasks throughout the country under her supervision. The students are surprised when she casually addresses Shota as "Era-sen", and Mawata explains she used to be in his class, and he once expelled everyone to give them a taste of "death," which made them understand why they wanted to become Heroes.

After class, several 2-A students are discussing the arrival of new first years since they are now second years and upperclassmen. While they chat, Ochaco points out Izuku's shaved hair because of surgery. This prompts Rikido to mention Fumikage's new "makeover", in that the feathers on his head are more frazzled. Fumikage says his change in hairstyle doesn't really apply, but he still likes it.[99]

The next day, after the new first-years mobbed Katsuki and Shoto in an excess of admiration and had to be scolded by Tenya, Class 2-A join up with some Heroes in a city on reconstruction duty, assisting Fat Gum, Suneater, and Best Jeanist in demolishing and repairing a section of buildings. As reconstruction treks on, local civilians provide food for the students to eat for lunch, as a thank you for their help and hard work.

At that moment another bus arrives, bringing the first-year students. Their homeroom teacher, Cementoss, explains they insisted on helping with the reconstruction efforts in order to be of use and to make up for their earlier misgivings. They are given minor tasks to assist while class 2-A rest.

Later that night, because they eased up on dormitory requirements, students who wanted to go back home could, Ochaco decides to go home for a bit. Tsuyu had noticed that Ochaco was suffering despite trying to pretend everything was fine, and she tried to contact her, but Ochaco wasn't responding to her text messages. Concerned, Tsuyu decides to tell the rest of the class about what's happening, and immediately everyone goes out to look for her.[100]

Rikido and the rest of Class A head over to the hillside of former Troy to check on her, only to see that Izuku had come before the class and Ochaco seems to be doing well. While they comfort her, Katsuki asks Izuku about the embers of One For All he just used up. The class freaks out upon learning that Izuku only has embers remaining of One For All, and swarms over him to get the details and scolding him for leaving them in the dark, which the boy quickly agrees to fill them in on.

Later, Class 2-A celebrate their goodbye party for Yuga, with Eri singing for the first time in front of the entire class while Kyoka plays the guitar.[101]

As time passes, Class A becomes Third Year and focuses on their reconstruction efforts while doing Hero work. Finally, it was time for Class A's graduation ceremony, and all Third Year Students from Class A, B, and Support Course are prepared to have their diplomas ready. After receiving his from Principal Nezu, Rikido listens to Tenya's farewell speech about their hard work, which ends with a bang with a huge explosion caused by Katsuki and Monoma.[102]

In the eight years following her graduation, Rikido becomes a fully-fledged hero, but instead of being independent like many of his classmates, he decides to works as a Sidekick for Wash.[103] Despite this, he enjoys wide popularity with both genders. On one occasion, he visits his former classmate Mashirao, who is planning to open his own martial arts studio, and asks Rikido for advice, which Rikido readily provides.

In other matters, Izuku is now a teacher at U.A., and due to his loss of One For All, Rikido and his former classmates funded the creation of a mechanical armor similar to Armored All Might for him. They have to pool a lot of funding from their Hero Work to help making the suit with the aid of Melissa and Mei.

Once the suit was done, All Might delivers the surprise gift for Izuku, who tears up and smiles to be able to be a hero again. When Hawks mentions traffic being backed up because of a landslide on WarStar Road and requesting Heroes who can respond, Izuku puts on his new "Armored Deku" suit and is joined by the rest of his former classmates. As they head to the landside, Rikido joins the rest of his fellow Heroes of Class A.[102]

At a restaurant, the former students of Class A celebrate Shoto's new Number 2 Hero ranking on the Hero Billboard Chart JP. The classmates discuss amongst themselves the differing nature of the hero rankings nowadays, and joking around about each other's placements and their current statues as Heroes and Sidekicks. Rikido mentions his surprise everyone has been able to get together once again, which Mashirao states is due to the decreasing number of Villains every year. Fumikage remarks on the Heroes both old and new that have continued fighting all this time, thinking that eventually Heroes are headed towards extinction. Suddenly, everyone receives a notification of a criminal's Quirk causing a lot of damage, as the former classmates blast off together.

The incident is quickly resolved, as the criminal is arrested, noting that it was just a "sudden impulse". The group decide to split up for the night, with all of them going their separate ways.[103]
