Flashfreeze Heatwave is an Ultimate Move performed by Shoto using the Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk.
Description#
Shoto uses his ice to thoroughly chill the air around him before switching to his fire, rapidly heating and expanding the cool air. This environmental control allows Shoto to release a superheated blast that devastates anything in its path.
Alternatively, Shoto sends out a mound of ice at his opponent before generating fireballs and hurling them from a distance, resulting in a powerful explosion and an intense, superheated blast, making this technique executable from a range.[1]
Shoto has also shown he can use this technique by putting his hands together and unleashing the power of both sides at once to create the same effect, effectively executing it without cooling the air first.[2]
Shoto first uses this move against Deku during their match in the U.A. Sports Festival, clashing evenly with Deku's One For All at full power.[3]
When facing Cider House alongside Dynamight, Shoto uses a smaller-scale version of the attack to subdue the leader; this is also when he gives said move its name.[4]
During Mission: Humarise, right before clashing with Leviathan, Shoto used this move to subdue Humarise's soldiers.[1]
Shoto again uses this move during Class 1-A's effort to bring Izuku back to U.A., this time using it to boost himself, Dynamight, and Ingenium into the air during a combined Class effort to catch up to Izuku, who had rocketed away using Faux 100 Percent.[2]
