Synopsis#

Entrance Exam Arc#

Kamui Woods confronts a villain using a "monster form" Quirk. Reading out his charges, Kamui Woods asks the villain to step down while dodging a series of attacks from the giant. After the villain refuses to comply, Kamui prepares to use his Lacquered Chain Prison to stop his movement, when suddenly Mt. Lady intervenes in the fight and knocks out the villain, stealing all of Kamui Woods' credit.[2] In this confrontation, it is revealed that Kamui has a large fan base.

In the afternoon, an incident occurs when the Sludge Villain tries to take over Katsuki's body. He envelops Katsuki's body in sludge and takes control of his Quirk. The explosions draw the attention of Kamui Woods and nearby Pro Heroes. Kamui Woods saves nearby civilians but due to the fire generated by Katsuki's explosions, he can not help him for fear of burning himself.

Fortunately, All Might appears and with a Detroit Smash he defeats the Sludge Villain while saving Katsuki and Izuku (who tried to save Katsuki as well). All Might's blow is so powerful that the villain's mudy body is scattered throughout the street, so Kamui helps collect the remains and putting them in bags to deliver to the police.

Along with Death Arms, he also scolds Izuku for his reckless attempt to rescue Katsuki despite being Quirkless.[3]

U.S.J. Arc#

He and Mt. Lady have trouble dealing with Habit Headgear, as he is holding hostages, until All Might shows up, beats him up, and saves the hostages. Although he and Mount Lady are grateful, they complain that All Might will put them out of a job.[4]

U.A. Sports Festival Arc#

Kamui Woods, Mt. Lady, and Death Arms are assigned to guard duty for the U.A. Sports Festival. During the patrol, Kamui Woods reproaches Mt. Lady for using her sex appeal to obtain food for free. After Mount Lady seduces her way to lunch, the three talk briefly about how the school has employed Pro Heroes to secure the facility. Kamui complains not being able to watch the competition and scout new talents, something Death Arm agrees with.[5][6]

Later, after the rules of the Cavalry Battle have been explained, Kamui Woods, Mt. Lady and Death Arms are in the break room and start discussing the U.A. Sports Festival. Death Arms says that the Sports Festival is all about preparing the young heroes for the real world of heroes and that the Obstacle Race was a way of showing that you need to kick down others to show what you are able to do. Mt. Lady, after mentioning that she feels bad about having done that to Kamui Woods, mentions that Heroes need to work together in order to accomplish a goal and the Cavalry Battle is a good representation of that.[7]

Later, they return to their surveillance duties. Mt. Lady watches the fight between Denki Kaminari against Ibara Shiozaki, in which Ibara easily wins. Impressed by her, Mt. Lady tells Kamui Woods that Ibara would make the perfect sidekick for him. Kamui comments that he wished he could have seen her closer, before telling his partner to get back to work.[8]

Hideout Raid Arc#

The League of Villains attacked the training camp, injuring numerous students and kidnapping Katsuki Bakugo.[9] Fortunately, the police investigation finds the hideouts of the League, and organize a rescue operation to save Katsuki. Kamui joins the Police Force and many Pro Heroes to participate in it.[10] The heroes are divided into two groups, one will be in charge of storming a Nomu factory and the other to raid the main hideout of the League .

Once everything is ready, the Hideout Raid Team begins their assault against the League of Villains. All Might breaks in the main hideout with a smash attack after the Police distract the villains with a fake pizza delivery. Tomura orders Kurogiri to create portals, but Kamui Woods swings in and uses his Lacquered Chain Prison to restrain the villains, which prevents Kurogiri from creating an escape route. Dabi tries to burn the wooden restraints, but Gran Torino swoops in and knocks him out with a swift kick to the head.[11]

All Might declares that it's their win when suddenly All For One intervenes, using his Warping Quirk to transfer Nomu through them Kamui Woods asks for reinforcements, but Naomasa Tsukauchi, Endeavor, and the Police Force are being attacked by dozens of Nomus as well.[12] All For One also manages to transport all the members of the League of Villains and Katsuki out of the hideout. Kamui Woods apologizes for his failure in restraining the League of Villains. Edgeshot tells him not to worry since they could not do anything either.

All Might gets rid of the Nomu who attack him and head to the Nomu factory, while the rest of the heroes confront the creatures.[13] After the dozens of Nomu are defeated, Kamui Woods, Endeavor, and Edgeshot go to All Might's location after defeating the Nomu where he is battling All For One. Kamui Woods rescues the heavily injured Mt. Lady, Best Jeanist, and Gang Orca. Kamui Woods tells Mt. Lady that she did well.[14]

Katsuki is rescued and All Might manages to defeat All For One, but almost the entire League manages to escape, in addition to All Might no longer being able to work as a hero after having lost his Quirk.[15]

Remedial Course Arc#

Apparently, Edgeshot had been impressed by Kamui during the Kamino Raid that he invited him to team up together, which he accepted. Kamui was so happy that he sobbed for two hours.[16]

Later they would invite Mt. Lady to join them. There had been rumors for a while about their team-up, before it finally became official, calling themselves "The Lurkers".[17]

Pro Hero Arc#

Kamui attends the Hero Billboard Chart JP announcement where he is named the No. 7 Pro Hero. When it is his turn to speak, he promises to work hard as a hero and not disappoint his colleagues and mentors.[18]

Endeavor Agency Arc#

By the end of the year, due to the increase of the villain activities, the Hero Public Safety Commission demands all the student heroes for all academies to undergo practical field training. [19] Denki Kaminari, Hanta Sero, and Minoru Mineta from Class 1-A, and Ibara Shiozaki from Class 1-B join The Lurkers.[20]

My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission#

Kamui and the Lurkers learn that Humarise has detonated a Trigger Bomb in a major city, killing thousands and destroying the entire infrastructure. In response to the act of terrorism, the World Heroes Association mobilizes the largest anti-terror joint task force. The Lurkers join the Egypt Task Force with their Work Study interns, Denki, Hanta, Minoru, and Ibara, where they meet Salaam, Egypt's top Hero.

The heroes lead an assault on a Humarise forward operating base in Cairo. Despite their successful raid, the heroes fail to locate the Trigger Bombs or any of the Humarise's leaders. The Egypt team were ordered to be on standby.

The operation is compromised when Humarise publicly broadcast to the entire world that they have planted the Trigger bombs in over twenty-five cities, one of which is Cairo, and they will detonate the bombs in two hours to "cleanse" the population of their Quirks. As a result, Cairo is locked in a state of anarchy and chaos, so the Egypt team scrambled to quell the hysteria and locate the bombs.

Finally the heroes manage to find the bomb, having to engage in an all-out war against the Humarise agents who protect it. During the battle, the heroes are informed that Izuku's group intend to storm Humarise's main base in order to defuse the bombs worldwide.

The Lurkers manage to reach the bomb just as the countdown ends, but after a few seconds nothing happens, indicating that Izuku's group had managed to deactivate the Trigger Bombs in time, saving the world from catastrophic destruction. With the main threat neutralized, the heroes defeat the last of Humarise's agents and seize the device, celebrating the victory. Once the crisis has been averted, the team leave the country.[21]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc#

By the end of March, thanks to the police investigations, and the information leaked by Hawks, who was acting as a spy, the Hero Public Safety Commission organize the Heroes and the Police Force to take down the Paranormal Liberation Front. Kamui Woods, along with his teammates Mt. Lady and Edgeshot, is part of a large force of heroes in charge of raiding the Gunga Mountain Villa, the headquarters of the Paranormal Liberation Front.[22][23]

When the signal is given, the heroes begin their assault on the Gunga Mountain Villa, catching the PLF members off guard. This allows the heroes to defeat large numbers of foes before they can mount a proper defense.[24] Kamui Woods uses his Ultimate Move Lacquered Chain Prison to restrain the PLF members with efficiency.[25]

With his actions and those carried out by his allies, it seems that the heroes are about to win on that front despite the growing resistance of the Paranormal Liberation Front. This situation drastically changes when, at the front of the hospital, Tomura Shigaraki awakens and orders Gigantomachia to reunite with him, bringing with him the Lieutenants of the army.[26] The hulking beast emerges from the bunker in which he was trapped, ready to obey the orders.

Mt. Lady does her best to hold the giant back,[27] but she barely manages to stop him and is dragged. Kamui follows them as he swings across the trees, carrying Midnight on his back. He worries for Takeyama when Gigantomachia swats her away as he decides to take a shortcut to Tomura.

Despite his concerns, Midnight convinces him to keep moving and asks him to take her close to Gigantomachia's face so she can use her Somnambulist Quirk to stop him. Kamui agrees but he gets burned by Dabi and Midnight is shot down by Mr. Compress. Despite his burns, he manages to entangle Mt. Lady's arm with Gigantomachia's leg, slowing the giant down.[28] The U.A. students manage to insert a sedative into Gigantomachia, but the beast still manages to escape and rampages his way toward Tomura, leaving all the Heroes, including Kamui Woods, left unconscious.

In the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One has escaped from Tartarus, and proceeded to break into several more maximum security prisons, liberating the inmates. Due to the chaos inflicted by Gigantomachia and the mass breakout of prisoners, the whole country entered a state of total chaos and anarchy. In addition, many heroes resigned and called it quits because of the massive criticism of their work, and the destruction spreading unchecked. Kamui and the Lurkers are some of the few heroes that still stays behind and does her best to stop the villains and apprehend them as much as he can.[29]

Dark Hero Arc#

While he and the Lurkers continued their work in helping to round up the escaped convicts, they are told the truth about Izuku Midoriya and One For All, and the Top Three Pro Heroes' plan to use him to lure All For One out of hiding. At some point they learn that Izuku and Hawks have captured Lady Nagant who revealed the location of All For One's new base of operations at the former Creature Rejection Clan's hideout. The Lurkers accompany Endeavor and Izuku to the location, but they find it empty and abandoned with only a hologram from All For One sarcastically taunting Izuku. He gleefully tells him that it is "his turn” as the mansion explodes.[30]

Despite the mansion's explosion, all the Heroes were able to come out unscathed. Endeavor, Hawks, Best Jeanist, and the Lurkers meet privately in a warehouse as Edgeshot asks if they can get any more information out of Lady Nagant. Hawks doesn't think so, saying that she is currently being treated at Central Hospital, and they can't believe she is still alive considering how severe her injuries are. Kamui says that even when someone is overwhelmed by disappointment and despair, they will still fight to stay alive.[31]

My Hero Academia: You're Next#

During Class 1-A's excursions to combat and apprehend the Jailbreakers and villains running amok, they are suddenly captured by the Gollini Family Mafia, consisting of Bruno, Kamile, Deborah, Paulo, Simon, Ugo, Gi, and their leader, Valdo Gollini.

Valdo touches the hypnotized woman, Anna Scervino, and suddenly, his powers tremendously increase as he uses his Quirk to transform their floating ship into a massive fortress, consuming everything in its path in an ocean of light.

While keeping track of the fortress’ movement, Dark Might decides to change course because so long as people remember All Might’s legacy, he will continue to inspire the next generation. Dark Might decides to destroy that legacy by annihilating the remnants of the Heroes in U.A.. Toshinori and the Counter-Force notice the fortress' change in direction, and realize it is heading right towards the school. Principal Nezu states that the U.A. Barrier is essential for their plan to defeat Tomura Shigaraki and must be protected at all costs. Hence, he ordered the evacuation of the refugees.

Kamui and the Heroes to the outskirts of the city to stage a counterattack against the fortress. Endeavor fires a full blast of his Prominence Burn, but the Heroes learn that the fortress repairs itself from any external damages they inflict, which means they can only stall time for Class 1-A to do their jobs.

Mirio helps direct everyone toward the exit. He signals the Heroes outside of the civilians' location, so Endeavor unleashes Prominence Burn - Maximum Fire and Flare Circle to make a hole large enough for civilians to fall through, with all the Heroes waiting outside to catch and bring them to safety. Kamui uses his Quirk with his Lacquered Chain Prison to catch the falling civilians

Once the civilians are safe, Endeavor makes a hole large enough for many Heroes to move inside. Kamui enters the fortress and aids Class 1-A battling against the monsters conjured by the fortress. As the fortress comes closer to U.A., it starts to collapse after Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto defeat Dark Might; in conjunction, Mirio defeats Kamile, causing the fortress to fall from the sky.

Suddenly, the fortress starts to repair itself as Anna’s Quirk: Overmodification, goes berserk, causing her to consume everything in the battlefield, including Dark Might. Still affected by Anna's Overmodification, Dark Might regains consciousness and uses her enhanced properties to turn himself into a colossal monster, using the fortress to repair a new body. While Izuku, Shoto and Katsuki fight back against Dark Might, Giulio manages to touch her, and thanks to Anna's Overmodification, his own Neutralization Quirk becomes greatly enhanced, allowing him to overcome his limits and then use it on Anna. With Dark Might vulnerable, Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto, attack the Villain and unleash their most powerful moves, destroying Dark Might and the entire fortress.

With the Gollini Family defeated, the U.A. Shelter is safe, and everyone cheers on the Heroes and Class 1-A for their valiant victory.[32]

Final War Arc#

In preparations for the upcoming Final War, Shota's plan begins to take into effect. Knowing that All For One is keeping tabs on the Heroes through Search, he needed Yuga and the Aoyama Family to play their roles as infiltrators and spies for All For One. He and All Might recruited Shota's protégée, Hitoshi Shinso, to take advantage of Hitoshi's newest development of being able to make brainwashed people speak, by having him brainwash the Aoyamas so that they can deceive him without detecting a single lie.

The next step of the plan is to make use of Kurogiri's Warp Gate to allow them to warp themselves into the fight, to catch All For One off guard, as well as warp the villains to locations all over Japan, separating them. Neito was able to successfully copy and train himself using Warp Gate, and the heroes waited patiently for Izuku to make contact with Yuga. Once Yuga meets Izuku in a desolated location, All For One has finally re-emerged, and with his prize in his reach, All For One summons an army of villains to overwhelm Izuku and finally steal One For All. However, Neito uses Warp Gate to teleport the remnants of the heroes to confront the villains.[33]

As Kamui and the heroes begin their assault, All Might springs up the "Troy" system trap, trapping many villains in separate cages, allowing the Heroes to push them into several more Warp Gates, separating them all over Japan. Kaumi uses his Quirk to shove as many of the villains trapped in cages into the Warp Gates as possible before he enters one of them to teleport to the Gunga Mountain Villa where he joins the heroes who were teleported their to fight All For One and his army of villains.[34]

While Endeavor and Hawks keep All For One busy in the skies, Kamui and the other heroes deal with the villains on the ground. When Endeavor blasts himself downward after All For One, Kamui and the remaining Heroes to flee and get out of the way of their incoming rampage. Endeavor grabs All For One, dragging him all throughout the forest. In one finishing move, Endeavor blasts All For One with a Prominence Burn.

Although the heroes have a very good start, the battle is starting to fall apart when All For One regenerates himself after being burned to a crisp using the reversed-engineered Quirk-Destroying Drug, rewinding his body back to his prime. What's even worse is that Kurogiri was freed thanks to Spinner, allowing him to change the course of the war by teleporting both Dabi from Kamino, and Himiko from Okuto Island to the Gunga Mountains. It's also revealed Himiko had transformed into Twice, and as soon as she exited out of the Warp Gate, she unleashed Sad Man's Parade, which swarms all over the battlefield. As the Doubles and Dabi's flames prove too much trouble for the Heroes, they all made a full retreat. Kamui takes Kinoko away who laments that her mushrooms are ineffective due to the fire.[35]

As they are retreating, the Shiketsu High School Hero Course students soon arrive to provide backup. Inasa Yoarashi uses his Whirlwind to suck up all the Twice Doubles and Himiko into the air, giving the Heroes the opportunity to counter-attack against All For One. The villain retaliates by unleashing a massive laser explosion at the battlefield below, obliterating Kamui Woods and several other heroes out of the way. The Heroes, however, stands their ground, to keep their defense strong and continue attacking, especially now that he's stopped running away.[36]

Kamui Woods and Kinoko regain their bearings, just as Fumikage uses the full power of Dark Shadow to hold All For One down. The Heroes refocus their efforts in taking out the remaining Twice Doubles while they keep All For One down, but the Villain manages to escape the grasp unleashing another massive explosion, and attempts to flee, only to be stopped by a brainwashed Gigantomachia.[37]

While some of the Heroes chase All For One, Kamui Woods and the rest of the Heroes stay behind to defeat the endless Twice Double swarm that's been rapidly increasing in volume. They all struggle to fend off against the swarm as Himiko uses Sad Man's Death Parade to completely overwhelm and consume them all.[38] During a confrontation with the real Himiko, Ochaco saves Tsuyu before she is stabbed, pulling Himiko away as Tsuyu is barely grazed.

Kyoka, carried by Kamui Woods, tries to catch the falling Tsuyu, but Kamui reveals he had already saved her in his other arm. The falling Tsuyu suddenly starts to transform and tries to attack Kyoka, only to be being smacked away by Kamui. He and the Heroes realize that the Doubles have been drinking the blood on the battlefield, and have now started transforming into the Heroes. He points out that their team-up wasn't enough to take on the horde, and now that she's able to deceive them using the fake clones, they have no way to stop her as the swarm intensifies.[39]

With rage fueling her insanity, Himiko unleashes Sad Man's Legion, releasing her Doubles to the absolute extreme on a gigantic scale. The swarm becomes an ocean and completely consumes all the Heroes, Villains, and Nomu alike, decimating the nearby city. Kamui was among those swallowed by the ocean of Doubles as it washes over everything in its path. However, Ochaco undergoes a Quirk Awakening as the ocean of Doubles suddenly bursts open with everyone starting to float through the air, thanks to her Quirk spreading between all the bodies that came into contact with each other.[40]

As they try to regain their bearings while floating through the air, Kamui Woods uses his Quirk to grab onto the ground below to steady himself. He then grabs onto Tiger, asking if he is the real one, who responds that he would've melted from his injuries already if he was a fake, as they both look up towards Ochaco about to confront Himiko once again. Tiger is surprised of Ochaco's improvements, believing her max capacity was three tons, admiring how she has come a long way since the Training Camp last year.

Ochaco successfully manages to reason with Himiko, causing her to confess to her deepest feelings and emotionally break down. As Ochaco helps to calm her down, this coincides with her Twice transformation finally wearing off, as all the Twice Doubles around everyone begin to fade away into the sky.[41] Ochaco proceeds to use her remaining strength to carefully ensure the exhausted and unconscious Heroes have a safe landing.[42] Once Himiko was defeated, various news copters land to get the Heroes to medical treatment. Tiger carries the unconscious Kamui Woods to safety.[43]
