History#

After the death of Oboro Shirakumo, his body was recovered by All For One and taken to Doctor Kyudai Garaki, who combined various Quirk Factors to create the Nomu called Kurogiri. All For One utilized Kurogiri with aiding and overseeing his various projects, and eventually directly in the development of Tomura Shigaraki.[1]

Underground Masquerade Arc#

In order to get more Quirks, test several versions of Quirk-Boosting Drugs, and carry out other illicit businesses, All For One organizes the Underground Masquerade, a clandestine fighting tournament. Well safe in a secret place, All For One watches the fighting through the security cameras, accompanied by Kurogiri.

The tournament lasts several days, so that the rumors of drug's traffic and the disappearance of several underground fighters attract the attention of the hero O'Clock, who decides to participate under the persona of The Ripper in order to obtain evidence.[2][3] Likewise, that same day, a young Rumi Usagiyama also infiltrates the event, challenging everyone present to fight her, and transforming the competition into a one-side battle. Because of the latter, All For One reconsiders his plan to abandon the arena, and decides to harvest more valuable Quirks.[4]

Suddenly the alarm goes off, followed by a gas starting to pour into the arena. Those who breathe the gas receive a Quirk boost as they lose control and go wild. To prevent anyone from fleeing, All For One locks all the doors to the passages and emergency stairwell, and deploys his subordinates protected with gas masks to ensure that no one can flee. Then, with the help of Kurogiri and his Warp Gate, All For One puts his hand on several of those affected by the gas and steals their Quirk.

When All For One and Kurogiri go for Rumi's Quirk too, O'Clock uses his Quirk to snag her. Kurogiri tries to go after them with his mist, but O'Clock deduces that they are tracking them through the security cameras, and uses the crowd to avoid Kurogiri's dark fog, slinking away to a blindspot where The Rapper, an underground wrestler with whom he formed a temporary alliance, is waiting for him,[5] The three put together a plan to escape, with Rumi and Rapper opening the way and with O'Clock destroying the security cameras so their pursuers can't track them.

In his secret base, All For One looks on surprised, thinking about how they may fail in their objective. With false concern, he asks Kurogiri what he should do, who replies that, in order to prevent any setback, he has already dispatched the Hooded Man to the scene.

O'Clock and his allies come face to face with the asset sent by All For One, leading to an intense fight.[6] All For One is annoyed at being unable to see a clear view of the battle, due to most of the security cameras being destroyed, as well as the panicking spectators getting in the way. He contemplates clearing the arena himself, but Kurogiri disagrees as he believes any further escalation might summon All Might to the place, further irritating All For One. He decides to let the situation settle on its own.

While fighting, O'Clock realizes that the Hooded Man is a very dangerous enemy to deal with on their own, so he and Kendo distract him long enough for Rumi to escape and warn a police force allied with the pro hero outside. She calls for Detective Eizo Tanuma, giving him the message from O'Clock, to call All Might.[7] Acceding to the Pro Hero's request, Eizo activates the Might Signal which sends an emergency dispatch request to the Might Tower. After receiving the request, All Might immediately blasts off to solve the threat.

Kurogiri informs All For One that since All Might is on his way, they should retreat so as not to lose their valuable test subjects, as well as O'Clock, but All For One, annoyed that he can't watch the fight between O'Clock and the Hooded Man, instead requests Kurogiri to assist him in buying some time.

After All For One explains to him the dichotomy between heroes and villains, and how the relationship between a person's will and their Quirk is what defines one and the other, Kurogiri uses his Warp Gate, allowing All For One to use his powers to boost the Quirks on several of the unconscious individuals, turning them into violent Instant Villains, who break out the parking structure, running and rampaging through the Osaka streets, causing all kind of mayhem.

All For One laughs to himself with how much trouble he's caused, and how it'll take even All Might a bit of time to resolve everything, though Kurogiri reminds him that this incident will almost surely provide a heavy clue he is responsible and that they've gone too far. All For One responds that the heroes are welcome to the clue and that it's a risk he's willing to take to allow him to watch O'Clock fight, and attempt to take his Overclock Quirk now.[8]

All Might arrives and defeats all the people transformed by All For One in a flash. Kurogiri relents that All Might's actions barely bought them anytime, but All For One gleefully responds that it bought them "three seconds." In those few seconds, the Hooded Man is about to defeat O'Clock. That's the moment All For One was expecting, but his plans are frustrated when Rumi returns and knocks the Hooded Man to the ground with a swift kick, making those three seconds their diversion gave them got wasted, much to the villain's irritation.

Due to All Might approaching the place of the fight, Kurogiri uses his Quirk to quickly retrieve the Hooded Man, as he screams saying he can still fight. All Might arrives, confused, as Tiger Bunny informs him he got away.[9]

Once in All For One's hideout, the Hooded Man rampages around, furious that his fight was interrupted, when he's stopped and restrained by All For One. Using his Quirks to shut the Hooded Man down, All For One tells Kurogiri to transport him over to the Doctor for further modifications. Despite the missed opportunity, All For One does not lose his cool, though comments to Kurogiri that getting his hands on Overclock would've furthered the cause. Kurogiri says that O'Clock is a Quirk-y and wondrous ability, and All For One assures him that it will be his eventually and he already knows how he'll put it to use.[10]

Several years later, Kurogiri continued to assist All For One in various endeavors, including his work in developing the Nomu,[11] before eventually being tasked to directly oversee Tomura.

Synopsis#

U.S.J. Arc#

With the Nomu and an army of disposable villains at their control, Tomura and Kurogiri break into the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, using Kurogiri's Quirk to warp himself and the villains to the area.[12] He then appears before the escaping class of students, introducing themselves as the League of Villains and revealing that they were the ones who broke into U.A. High School the previous day.

He goes on to say that their mission is to kill All Might and wonders why he isn't here. Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima attack Kurogiri, but their attacks simply go through him. He then uses his Quirk to warp most of the students to various areas of the USJ.[13]

After doing this, Kurogiri fights the Space Hero: Thirteen. Kurogiri uses his Quirk against Thirteen's Quirk by warping the hero's Black Hole against her. As Thirteen's Quirk starts turning her to dust, Kurogiri says that her battle experience is far lower than other heroes due to her only specializing in disaster relief.[14] Having incapacitated Thirteen, Kurogiri tries to stop Tenya Ida from escaping, knowing that Tenya's escape would put the League of Villains in jeopardy, but is intercepted by Mezo Shoji.

As Tenya reaches the exit, Kurogiri tries to attack him again, but Ochaco Uraraka, seeing a physical part of him, is able to grab him and use her Zero Gravity to make him float into the air, stopping him with the help of Hanta Sero and Rikido Sato. After being flung into the air, Kurogiri decides to warn Tomura and warps himself away. He appears before Tomura Shigaraki, and informs him on the situation, telling him that he has incapacitated Thirteen but failed to stop one of the students from escaping, much to Tomura's frustration. Realizing that the escaped student will most likely go and find dozens of Pro Heroes whom they won't be able to defeat, Tomura decides to retreat, but not before killing the remaining students.

Tomura and the Nomu attack Izuku, Tsuyu, and Mineta, but before they have a chance to hurt them, All Might arrives at the scene. Tomura decides to continue his mission.[15] All Might starts by striking Nomu, but the creature absorbs the impact. All Might figures that he can wear Nomu down, and uses a powerful reverse suplex to smash Nomu into the ground. However, Kurogiri intervenes, using his Quirk to save Nomu and allowing Nomu to turn the tables on All Might. All Might sends half of Nomu's body through a portal while he still remains in the suplex position. Nomu uses the opening to grab onto All Might's weak point, while Kurogiri slowly drags him into the warp gate, to carry out his duty to eviscerate All Might.

Alert to All Might's peril, Izuku rushes over to aid him. Kurogiri cuts Izuku off and prepares to warp him away, but Katsuki appears and strikes Kurogiri and pins him down, preventing him from using his Quirk.[16] Kurogiri is then set free when Nomu attempts to attack Katsuki. Knowing that his powers are declining rapidly, All Might engages Nomu in a ferocious fistfight. All Might decides to surpass his 100% after seeing that his attacks are having minimal effect. All Might launches a devastating punch against Nomu, sending Nomu flying out of the U.S.J., defeating him.[17]

After All Might defeats Nomu and Tomura starts to panic, Kurogiri calms him down by saying that Nomu did considerable damage to All Might and they should take the opportunity to finish the job. After Tomura regains his composure, he and Kurogiri attempt to attack All Might, but they are intercepted by Izuku Midoriya, which gives the heroes enough time to arrive at the USJ, in turn forcing Tomura and Kurogiri to stop their attack. They are then sucked into Thirteen's Black Hole and are seemingly turned into dust, but Kurogiri uses his Quirk at the last second to warp him and Tomura back to their hideout, thus saving themselves from being apprehended.[18]

Once they arrive to their hideout, All For One asks them trought a monitor about the whereabouts of Nomu, Kurogiri regretfully reports that they do not know Nomu's coordinates due to him being thrown far away and were unable to pinpoint his location, thus being unable to retrieve him.[19]

U.A. Sports Festival Arc#

Kurogiri appears before the hero killer, Stain, who draws his katana and aims it at Kurogiri. Kurogiri tells Stain to withhold his blade as they have similar interests and that he has been wanting to meet someone of his notoriety. Kurogiri then asks Stain for a moment of his time, teleporting them both away.[20]

Vs. Hero Killer Arc#

Kurogiri brings Stain to the League of Villains hideout to meet with Tomura. However, the meeting between Stain and Tomura goes awry. Kurogiri asks the mysterious voice on the monitor if it is all right to keep the meeting going, but the voice orders Kurogiri to allow them to continue, saying that Tomura's meeting with Stain (an experienced infamous villain) will stimulate Tomura's growth.[21]

The meeting between Tomura and Stain turns into a fight. Kurogiri tries to intervene, but Stain injures him and prevents him from moving. After Stain and Tomura declare their common interest in destroying the current society, Stain restores Kurogiri's mobility and demands to be returned to Hosu.[22]

Kurogiri warps himself, Stain, and Tomura to Hosu. After Stain leaves to finish his business, Tomura complains about Stain's constant preaching, to which Kurogiri replies that he shouldn't mock Stain for his preaching and states that Stain's villainous methods have produced great results, which intrigues Tomura. Tomura orders Kurogiri to release the Nomu. Kurogiri warps three Nomus to their location, and Tomura orders the Nomu to attack Hosu.[23]

Kurogiri asks Tomura if he will join the assault on Hosu. Tomura replies that he won't because of his shoulder injury.[24]

Tomura, using binoculars, watches Stain kill the winged Nomu and becomes annoyed that nothing is going his way. After the other two Nomu are restrained and arrested, Tomura disintegrates his binoculars out of anger. Tomura decides to leave and return to the League of Villains hideout. Kurogiri asks Tomura if the results of the attack on Hosu are to his satisfaction, but Tomura replies that the results depend on tomorrow. Kurogiri teleports himself and Tomura back to the League of Villains hideout.[25]

Final Exams Arc#

When Giran brings in two candidates to join the League of Villains, Tomura becomes displeased with his visitors due to them seemingly being types he despises the most and orders Kurogiri to send them away. Kurogiri asks Tomura to be patient and listen to what the visitors have to say because they were scouted by the broker who produces quality results. The Broker tells Kurogiri that he wants his service charge one way or another; The Broker also agrees with Kurogiri about letting them introduce themselves.

After Himiko Toga and Dabi introduce themselves, Tomura becomes angry at them for talking about Chizome, and prepares to attack them. As the three clash, Kurogiri uses his Quirk to stop the fight. Telling Tomura that expansion is necessary in order to achieve his wishes, now that the spotlight is on them. He asks him to not reject help. Reminding Tomura if he doesn't make use of any of the offered help, everything left to them will disappear.

Understanding Kurogiri, Tomura storms out of the room. The Broker comments about Tomura being too young; Kurogiri asks the broker to wait a few days for their reply regarding Dabi and Himiko's registration; he comments that Tomura understands what needs to be done and he is sure he'll understandingly accept them.[26]

Forest Training Camp Arc#

After finding his own convictions to achieve his goals,[27] Tomura decides to organize an operation to kidnap Katsuki Bakugo with the new recruits of the League of Villains, the Vanguard Action Squad. At the League of Villains' hideout, Kurogiri wonders if the Vanguard Action Squad will be able to handle the mission. Tomura assures Kurogiri that they will be fine; Tomura decides that it is not time for him to reappear and begins to comment on his gameplay. Tomura realizes that his gameplay was faulty when he first attempted to murder All Might and now has decided to let his pawns take down the ones up high before aiming for the final boss.

Tomura explains that he intends for the Vanguard Action Squad to make a crack in the superhuman society, noting that the Vanguard Action Squad's endeavors at Class 1-A and 1-B's training camp will be a blow for the Pro Heroes whether they succeed or not. Kurogiri questions if the Vanguard Action Squad means nothing to him, but Tomura rebuffs Kurogiri's claim, saying that he respects the Vanguard Action Squad's strength and personally hopes they succeed, Tomura continues to say that while they have their differences, they can rely on each other because both he and Kurogiri are not the only ones oppressed by society's rules.[28]

Kurogiri arrives at the training camp in order to retrieve Spinner and Magne.[29] After doing so, Kurogiri travels to the Vanguard Action Squad's rendezvous point and blocks Izuku, Mezo, and Shoto with his black mist. While blocking the young Heroes, Kurogiri warps Himiko, Twice, and the Noumu away from the training camp. After Mr. Compress deactivates his Quirk, which frees Fumikage and Katsuki, Kurogiri warps Mr. Compress, Dabi, and the captured Katsuki away from the training camp.[30]

Hideout Raid Arc#

After warping most of the Vanguard Action Squad back to the League of Villains' hideout, Kurogiri is present when Tomura talks to the restrained Katsuki.[31]

Katsuki attacks Tomura and knocks off the hand on his face. Kurogiri attempts to rush to Tomura in order to calm him, but Tomura fiercely glares which stops Kurogiri. Tomura asks the Vanguard Action Squad and Kurogiri to let him handle Katsuki.[32]

Tomura orders Kurogiri and Mr. Compress to knock out Katsuki. Suddenly, All Might breaks in with Kamui Wood swinging in and restrains Kurogiri along with the other League of Villains with his Lacquered Chain Prison. Tomura orders Kurogiri to warp all the Nomu to them. However, Kurogiri isn't able to warp the Nomu because they are no longer near the portals.[33]

Refusing to let the pro heroes win, Tomura orders Kurogiri to create portals. However, Kurogiri is knocked unconscious by Edgeshot who used his Quirk to enter Kurogiri's body and knock him out from the inside.[34]

Out of nowhere, Nomus appear from a mysterious back liquid that takes the pro heroes off guard. The unconscious Kurogiri along with the League of Villains and Katsuki Bakugo are teleported by the mysterious black liquid to the League of Villains' destroyed warehouse where All For One is.[35] Before they can flee, All Might quickly arrives at the place and fights against All For One, while the rest tries to flee, capture Katsuki again and run away, but fail when Izuku, Eijiro, and Tenya manage to rescue Katsuki.

Understanding that they have lost, All For One uses his Forced Quirk Activation to activate Kurogiri's Warp Gate, thus creating a portal for the League of Villains to escape through.[36] Before Tomura can attack Gran Torino, he along with the Vanguard Action Squad is magnetically pulled into Kurogiri's Warp Gate. The Vanguard Action Squad is forcefully sucked into Kurogiri's Warp Gate and is teleported away. As he is being sucked into the Warp Gate, Tomura calls out to his teacher concerned for his safety. Before Tomura teleports away, Sensei tells Tomura to continue the fight. Tomura and the unconscious Kurogiri are teleported away by the Warp Gate, causing the portal to disperse.[37]

All For One is defeated and imprisoned, but thanks to his action, Tomura and his allies are safe.[38]

Shie Hassaikai Arc#

After an intense fight against All Might, All For One is defeated and imprisoned in Tartarus. His loss weakened the League of Villains considerably, and now, under Tomura's command, they try to reorganize and regain strength. Kurogiri remembers that All For One told him about a "power" he left behind that he could use to protect Tomura if he was caught or killed. Kurogiri explains it to Tomura and asks him for permission to retrieve that power for him. Tomura agrees.[39]

During the battle between the Pro Heroes and the Shie Hassaikai, Gran Torino and Naomasa Tsukauchi have managed to track down and find Kurogiri with the help of eyewitness reports and have him subdued. Gran Torino tells Kurogiri that if they arrest him, the League of Villains will fall apart.

As Naomasa warns Gran Torino about Kurogiri's Quirk, Kurogiri asks Gran Torino if he knows of the rumors about a "wild man" appearing in the mountains where they are at. Kurogiri says he has business with the "wild man". Gran Torino would prefer Kurogiri to tell him all about it behind bars.

Suddenly, a huge noise reverberates in the area which catches Gran Torino's attention. An enormous beastly man that towers over trees appears with a radio around his neck, which surprises Gran Torino. Kurogiri states that the wild man is one of All For One's faithful servants: Gigantomachia.[40]

Gran Torino took Kurogiri into police custody at the cost of allowing Gigantomachia to escape.[41]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc#

After being captured by Gran Torino and Detective Naomasa, Kurogiri was sent to Tartarus.[42] Once there he shows no sign of confessing or disclosing anything about the League of Villains,[43] but they uncover that the base of his Quirk resembles that of Oboro Shirakumo's Quirk Cloud.[44]

Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada are called to Tartarus and informed of what has been found about Kurogiri. They explain that he is unconscious because otherwise, he would activate his Quirk. Shota uses his Quirk as Kurogiri comes too. Hizashi notes that the mist still won't dissipate from Kurogiri's face. Kurogiri notes that it had been a while since he has visitors and recognizes Shota from the U.S.J. Incident. He then asks about Tomura and wonders where he is and if he has been captured. Shota observes that Kurogiri really cares about Tomura, and Kurogiri says it is his duty to care for him.

Shota remembers how Oboro would also take care of others and Kurogiri wonders what he is talking about as Shota takes off his goggles and cries out to Oboro, with tears in his eyes, saying if he is still in there somewhere, then the three of them will become heroes together.[1] Shota continued to speak to Oboro inside of Kurogiri. Kurogiri denied knowing what he was talking about and said he was Kurogiri, but suddenly Oboro was able to break through Kurogiri's mist and provide a hint about a hospital, before Kurogiri falls unconscious.[45]

Dark Hero Arc#

Some time after Shota and Hizashi's breakthrough, it was decided that Kurogiri, as well as the other captured Nomu, were to be secretly transported from Tartarus to Central Hospital for restorative research. Weeks after the Paranormal Liberation War, a hospitalized Shota visits Kurogiri and speaks to him every day. So far he hasn't made much progress with him, with him still remaining unconscious, but he's not losing hope.[46]

Final War Arc#

With the number of Heroes rapidly dwindling, those that remain and the Counter-Force develop a plan to defeat All For One and his army of villains in an all-out Final War. While making preparations, they require Kurogiri's Warp Gate Quirk for their plan to work, but Shota has been unable to make any progress regarding Kurogiri, with him still unconscious this entire time, unsure of whether Oboro is able to retake control again or not. To work around this, Shota instead enlists Neito Monoma to use his Copy Quirk on Kurogiri to copy Warp Gate, allowing them to use it to catch the villains off guard and split them up all over Japan.[47]

Believing the Villains will attempt to reclaim Kurogiri, they keep him locked away in the Hospital's research wing, and attempt to spread rumors of his location. However this fails, as they learn Spinner and his heteromorph army, consisting of the Paranormal Liberation Front and civilians, plan to storm the Hospital and free Kurogiri, who is considered to be the "High-End Nomu" closest to a masterpiece. Present Mic takes charge in the team assigned to defend the Hospital against the massive army.[48]

Ultimately thanks to his new Quirks, the rampaging Spinner was able to breach into the hospital with his army following closely behind, however, they become hesitant to engage violence against the hospital faculty, leaving only Present Mic to pursue the villain. Heading deeper into the facility, Spinner and Present Mic emerge into the room holding the unresponsive Kurogiri. Approaching the tied up villain, Spinner and Mic each call out to Kurogiri and Oboro respectively.[49]

When Kurogiri doesn't respond to either of them, Spinner attempted to use a recording device with All For One and Tomura's voice inside to awaken him, but Present Mic attacks him with his Voice, destroying the recording device. Present Mic prepares to reluctantly kill Kurogiri to prevent him from escaping, however Spinner uses his last remaining strength to give him Tomura's remaining hand, telling Kurogiri to save him. As a result, "Kurogiri" breaks free from his restraints, and with the face of Oboro partially appearing on half of it, declares he is "the protector of Tomura Shigaraki".[50]

As it turns out All For One had placed a micro device within the hand Spinner gave Kurogiri, which re-activated and gave him new orders to act. With "Kurogiri" active, Present Mic stares in horror as he stares back at him. The villain starts to change the course of the war by unleashing several Warp Gates across the battlefields, including teleporting Dabi from Kamino and Himiko from Okuto Island to the Gunga Mountain Villa. Once the deed is done, "Kurogiri" teleports himself and Present Mic to the U.A. Flying Fortress, catching Neito, Manual, and Shota off guard as Shota looks behind in shock.[51]

"Kurogiri" then creates another portal next to them, teleporting Twice Doubles conjured by Himiko that begin to swarm them. Shota tries to attack but he and Manual are immediately pushed to the side, as the Doubles swarm all over them and dogpile on Neito, causing him to shut his eyes and undoing Erasure. As a result, Tomura unleashes a massive explosion, destroying most of the U.A. Fortress.[52]

"Kurogiri" teleports next to Tomura, however, the villain betrays All For One as he starts to regain full control of himself, both mind and body. Within Tomura, All For One tries to command Kurogiri to teleport him to his other self, but "Kurogiri" begins to stutter, repeating he will protect Tomura, while Oboro's original personality re-emerges, destabilizing the villain.[53]

With Oboro's personality clashing with Kurogiri, the villain continues to stutter, rambling to himself in confusion at who he is the protector of. Then, "Kurogiri" spots Shota and Present Mic being knocked over by the Twice Doubles off the observation deck. As they plummet to their deaths, "Kurogiri" suddenly reappears beneath them, opening a Warp Gate, and teleporting all three of them away.[54]

"Kurogiri" ends up warping the three of them to a glacier far off shore, far away from the battlefield. "Kurogiri" seemingly becomes inactive once more, as a furious Present Mic grabs him and demands that they return, having no idea where they are or what's going on due to their comms being dead, yelling that he picked a great time to malfunction and to show some life. Mic continues to vent that they never should've put their fate in it's hands, and that relying on a corpse was a bad idea. When "Kurogiri" doesn't respond, Present Mic prepares to beat him to make him talk, but Shota stops Mic, saying he can see tears. Mic denies himself crying, but Shota reiterates he means "Kurogiri", as they notice what appear to be tears running down his face.

Mic excuses that it's just the rain and they aren't real tears, since he's just a Nomu and he purposefully split him up because he messed with Tomura twice now. He states their priority is switching him back on so they can get back to the fight, and once it's over, he vows to finish "Kurogiri" off for good since he's just a "darkened dud", reminding Shota to forget about the miracle they saw in Tartarus since they aren't students in U.A.'s Class 2-A anymore.

Nonetheless, Shota says that he was a U.A. student when he died, and wonders why he didn't just tear them apart with the Warp Gates or drop them to their deaths. He continues that at Tartarus, they reached toward him and drew a bit of light, which blended with his darkness and shut him down, since no amount of light can ever reverse all that dark, but darkness works differently, which is what activated again. He states that as teachers in the hero course, it's their job to make sure U.A. students graduate, and thinking if that's where his origin lies. Oboro begins to slowly wake up through Kurogiri, as Shota's words cause him to remember certain fragments. Suddenly, "Kurogiri" unleashes a large puff of smoke, and as he calls out Mic's name, they are surprised to see a now active "Kurogiri", with part of Oboro's face revealed, standing before them.

Now that Shota and Mic have "Kurogiri" back under control, "Kurogiri" warps them all back to the U.A. Evacuation Center, where Mic watches over "Kurogiri" outside while Shota moves to recruit all the remaining available Heroes to act as reinforcements for the final battles. He first has "Kurogiri" warp the Heroes to the Takoba National Stadium, where the Heroes swiftly help conclude the fight against Gashly Eijiju. He then proceeds to have "Kurogiri" warp himself and all the other Heroes to Mt. Fuji, in order to assist Izuku in his final battle against "All For One".[55] As "Kurogiri" teleports more Heroes from all over the country, the Heroes assembled and declared "We are here!"[56]

As Izuku rushes forward, "All For One" unleashed a horde of Quirks, blasting away every Hero who tries to stop him, but they keep on countering against his attacks. Shota calls out to Oboro, only to be stunned when he sees "Kurogiri"'s body starting to disintegrate after abusing the Warp Gate so many times. With "Kurogiri" being disintegrated, and unable to form another Warp Gate, Shota calls out to the Heroes through their comms, telling them to help Izuku carve a straight path to Tomura.[57]

As Izuku landed a fatal blow on "All For One", "Kurogiri" watched as Tomura's body began to fall apart from the attack. He then mustered the last of his strength and rushed forward, much to Shota and Mic's shock. "Kurogiri" apologized to his friends and said he has to go and protect Tomura as he thought back to his and Tomura's time together at the League of Villains bar.

"Kurogiri" created a Warp Gate, blocking Izuku from landing another punch on "All For One". Kurogiri called out to "All For One", and requested he give Tomura his body back saying his friends are waiting. Soon after, "Kurogiri" is killed when Katsuki arrives and blew up the Warp Gate so Izuku could land another attack on "All For One". After All For One was destroyed, Tomura briefly regained control of his crumbling body and somberly thought about Kurogiri as he saw the remains of his disintegrating mist.[58]
