Masaki Mizushima,[1] also known as Normal Hero: Manual, was the No. 222 Pro Hero.[3] He is based out of Hosu City.
Appearance#
Masaki is a man with messy brown hair and black eyes. His first hero costume consists of a blue and white, skin-tight, long-sleeved shirt that tucks into his orange gloves. He wears dark pants, white boots, and sports a signature helmet that features a fish-like fin and blue visor.
Eight years after the Final War, Manual now wears a more armored version of his first costume, which favors shades of gray and silver over the previous costume's assortment of blues.
Personality#
Manual has a very kind, attentive and ordinary personality. He has an inspiring attitude, as he wants to become a role model for all modern heroes and can complete any tasks simply. In the extras, it is revealed that Manual chose Tenya Ida because he feels similar to Tenya.[1] He also has a very keen mind and could figure out the reason that Tenya chose his office was to find Hero Killer: Stain.[4]
Abilities#
Quirk#
Unnamed Water Quirk: Masaki's Quirk allows him to control pre-existing water. This power has a weakness to air pressure, which causes him to lose some control of the water which he is manipulating.[5]
During the Paranormal Liberation War, he was shown being able to control the eye drops of Eraser Head, helping him use his Quirk continuously without him suffering from his usual drawback of dry eye. He later does the same for Phantom Thief during the Final War.
