Sky Egg Arc#

The Wild, Wild Pussycats accept Makoto Tsukauchi's invitation to participate in the Captain Celebrity's farewell show at the Tokyo Sky Egg,[1] where they perform a choreography.[2] The Tokyo Sky Egg is attacked by Bombers, sent there by villain Number 6 to assassinate Captain Celebrity.[3]

The Pussycats remain to help and calm among the spectators while other heroes come out to face the creatures,[4] until they are defeated, and Number 6 is forced to retreat.[5][6]

Synopsis#

Forest Training Camp Arc#

Students from U.A. High School travel to the Pussycats' reserve to train over the summer. Tiger and the Wild, Wild Pussycats introduce themselves to Class 1-B on the second day of camp. While the girls introduce themselves by explaining their Quirks, Tiger says that he can defeat and dismantle anyone in a fight.

Tiger instructs all power-up and strength-oriented students to train with him and already has Izuku Midoriya stretching repeatedly. He confronts Izuku and asks him to attack, easily avoiding and countering Izuku's attempt to land a 5% Detroit Smash and sending him flying into a tree, noting that his muscles are not ripping apart yet thus not getting stronger. He continues training and encouraging Izuku, while Kota Izumi silently watches them from behind a tree.[7]

The next day, Tiger catches Izuku talking to his teacher. He confronts Izuku and says he is not going beyond. That night, he and the others notice the mountain has been set on fire, and are caught off guard when Pixie-Bob is attacked by Magne and Spinner. Izuku tries to rush to her side, but Tiger cuts him off and faces off against the villains.[8]

Once Kenji threatens to kill Pixie-Bob, he says that he will not let him. After Shuichi interrupts them and introduces himself, Yawara angrily reprimands him for scarring Ryuko's face.[9]

Both Tiger and Mandalay fight Kenji and Shuichi, respectively. When Kenji sees Shuichi having trouble dealing with Shino and uses her Quirk to pull Shino towards her, Yawara lands a surprise punch on her, freeing Shino from her grasp. He then punches her again, but this time Kenji manages to block his attack. While getting up, Shino informs Yawara that she cannot communicate with Ragdoll, which she considers strange since she normally answers her immediately.[10]

Yawara continues fighting Kenji and holds his own,[11][12] managing to immobilize her by wrapping his arms around the villain. Yawara and Shino plan to take in Kenji and Shuichi, but Kurogiri appears and rescues the two villains.[13]

Hideout Raid Arc#

Two days later, Yawara joins the Police Force and a large number of Pro Heroes in the rescue operation of Katsuki Bakugo. Yawara states that his teammate Tomoko was kidnapped by the Vanguard Action Squad and that he will rescue her; he notes the League of Villains has a number of hideouts instead of one.[14]

Yawara, Mt. Lady, Best Jeanist, and Gang Orca infiltrate the partially destroyed warehouse and apprehend all the Nomus while Yawara rescues Tomoko. Hakamada informs Naomasa Tsukauchi that the warehouse has been cleared.[15]

Yawara attempts to speak to Tomoko but she is unresponsive. Suddenly, All For One appears in the shadows and apologizes to Yawara, explaining that he stole Ragdoll's Quirk. Before the Pro Heroes can act, All For One destroys the warehouse while damaging the surrounding area.[16] Hakamada reacts quickly and manipulates his fellow Pro Heroes' clothes, causing Yawara to be reeled back, allowing him to survive All For One's attack. However, Yawara is still heavily injured by the attack.[17] While Edgeshot and Endeavor assist All Might, Yawara rescues the trapped civilian whom All Might was protecting in order to alleviate his burden.[18]

After All Might defeats All For One, Yawara returns home. The Pussycats comfort a crying Tomoko after her hero license was suspended due to losing her Quirk.[19]

Pro Hero Arc#

When the Pussycats visited U.A., Yawara and his team introduced themselves to the students again before giving them chocolate his friends had made. He apologizes to Katsuki for not properly protecting him when he was kidnapped, but the latter tells him not to worry himself.

As he gives out tea, Rikido asks why the Pussycats have decided to pay them a visit. They reply that they came to celebrate Ragdoll's reinstatement to provide support for the Pussycats, at least as a secretary, due to the loss of her Quirk. They are informed that All For One cannot transfer the Quirk he stole back to its original user or to another person.

Momo wonders why the Pussycats would rejoin at this time. They state that the Hero Billboard Chart JP will be broadcasted and that they are 411th on the Billboard chart. Eijiro assumes that the Pussycats have returned so that they can rank higher, to which they refute and reply that despite everything, they’re coming off their hiatus because there are still many fans who support them and want to see them back in action.[20]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc#

Next year, by the end of March, thanks to the police investigations, and the information leaked by Hawks, who is acting as a spy, the Hero Public Safety Commission organize the Heroes and the Police Force to take down the Paranormal Liberation Front. The Pussycats participates with other heroes in a meeting where Detective Naomasa informs them about Dr. Kyudai Garaki, the current board chairman of Jaku General Hospital, is an ally of Tomura Shigaraki and the creator of the Nomu, and that there is a section of the hospital that only he can access.[21][22]

The Pussycats are part of the team of heroes led by Endeavor in charge of raiding on Jaku General Hospital. While one group, of which the Pussycats are part, are in charge of evacuating patients, visitors, and hospital staff from the building, another group is in charge of arresting Garaki, although the situation gets complicated when he releases a horde of Nomu to escape to his secret laboratory and awaken Tomura from his stasis.[23]

Regardless, the heroes manage to defeat all the creatures, storm the laboratory, and arrest Garaki before he could awaken Tomura.[24] It seemed that the mission had successfully ended, but at that moment Tomura awakens and uses his Decay. The Decay spreads through the hospital, completely disintegrating it and killing several heroes who were trying to flee. However, the destruction does not stop but continues to spread.

While escaping, Tiger watches as his partner, Pixie-Bob, uses her Quirk Earth Flow to hold the decay back, but it doesn't work, and the decay spreads to the city. He quickly grabs her and helps her escape.[25]

U.A. Traitor Arc#

In the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One has escaped from Tartarus, and proceeded to break into several more maximum-security prisons, liberating the inmates. Due to the chaos inflicted by Gigantomachia and the mass breakout of prisoners, the whole country entered a state of total chaos and anarchy. In addition, many heroes resigned and called it quits because of the massive criticism of their work and the destruction spreading unchecked. Tiger and the Wild, Wild Pussycats are some of the few heroes remaining, and they do their best to stop the villains and apprehend them as much as they can.

In the month that followed since the War, Tiger and the Wild, Wild Pussycats were also training Class 1-A to continue improving their Quirks while Izuku had gone rogue after he left U.A.[26]

Final War Arc#

With Tomura's completion approaching, the remaining Heroes plan to defeat the villains for good in an all-or-nothing battle of the Final War. Knowing that All For One is keeping tabs on the Heroes through Search, his mole Yuga Aoyama and his family are utilized in order to lure him out of hiding. With All For One revealing himself and summoning an army of villains, their next step of the plan is to make use of Kurogiri's Warp Gate to allow them to warp themselves into the fight, to catch All For One off guard, as well as warp the villains to locations all over Japan, separating them.[27]

They successfully manage to trap the Villains and send them through their respective Warp Gates. Tiger, accompanied by his fellow Pussycat Pixie-Bob, joins the team led by Endeavor into the portal that takes them to the Gunga Mountain Ruins. While he and Hawks deal with All For One in the air, Tiger and the other Heroes deal with the Villains on the mountains that were also thrown into the portal.[28]

Everything seems to be going well as the Heroes are able to deal with most of the Villains on the ground floor, however things get worse when All For One starts to regenerate and enters the middle of the battlefield, and becomes even more complicated by the arrival of a Twice transformed Himiko Toga and Dabi. Himiko's infinite Twice Doubles and Dabi's Blueflames prove too much trouble for the Heroes, forcing them in full retreat.[29] Soon afterward, the Heroes receive backup courtesy of the Shiketsu High School students, with Inasa Yoarashi using his Whirlwind Quirk to suck up most of the Twice Doubles from the battlefield, while the remaining Heroes target All For One and the rest of the Doubles.[30]

Despite the additional reinforcements, it is still not enough, as All For One manages to defeat all the Heroes attempting to contain him and escapes. Endeavor and Dabi both give chase to each other; however, due to Dabi internally compressing his thermal energy, he has created a heat sphere that continues to expand to the point that within ten minters, his body will explode and cremate everything within 5 kilometers, including the Heroes fighting the Doubles.[31] The inferno sphere starts to reach the Doubles battle, causing Tiger to call out to everyone to retreat from the blast zone, while attempting to defend themselves from the vicious clones.[32]

However, Shoto enters the vicinity where the Heroes are fleeing from the inferno sphere and unleashes a full blast of his Great Glacial Aegir, completely consuming the inferno in his ice, stopping Dabi's self-destruction, and causing his his fire to begin to dissipate and burn out, saving everyone.[33]

Despite this, the Heroes are still struggling to fend off Himiko's endless Twice Double swarm. Tiger sees Pixie-Bob get consumed by the ocean of clones, knowing that without her Quirk to hold the Doubles off, there's nothing to stop them from rapidly growing. As Himiko unleashes Sad Man's Death Parade, Tiger and the Heroes are overpowered by the never-ending swarm of Doubles, which threaten to spread their rampage further.[34]

With rage fueling her insanity, Himiko unleashes Sad Man's Legion, releasing her Doubles to the absolute extreme on a gigantic scale. The swarm becomes an ocean and completely consumes all the Heroes, Villains, and Nomu alike, decimating the nearby city. Tiger is among those swallowed by the ocean of Doubles as it washes over everything in its path. However, Ochaco undergoes a Quirk Awakening as the ocean of Doubles suddenly bursts open with everyone starting to float through the air, thanks to her Quirk spreading between all the bodies that came into contact with each other.[35]

As they try to regain their bearings while floating through the air, Kamui Woods grabs ahold of Tiger, asking if he is the real one. Tiger responds that he would've melted from his injuries already if he was a fake, and they both look up towards Ochaco, about to confront Himiko once again. He is surprised by Ochaco's improvements, believing her max capacity was three tons, and admiring how she has come a long way since the Training Camp last year.

Ochaco successfully manages to reason with Himiko, causing her to confess her deepest feelings and emotionally break down. As Ochaco helps to calm her down, this coincides with her Twice transformation finally wearing off, as all the Twice Doubles around everyone begin to fade away into the sky.[36] Ochaco proceeds to use her remaining strength to carefully ensure the exhausted and unconscious Heroes have a safe landing.[37]

Shortly afterwards, the news copter broadcasting the battle arrives to help take the critically injured to safety, with Tiger assisting in the effort, including taking Ochaco on the chopper for immediate medical treatment.[38] Shota manages to regain control of "Kurogiri" and sought out every Herp who can still fight to provide reinforcements for Izuku at Mt. Fuji. Tiger and the Heroes volunteer to teleport themselves to Mt. Fuji for the final confrontation with "All For One". [39] The villain unleashed hordes of Quirk attack all over the battlefield, blasting away every Hero who gets in his way, but they all keep countering against his attacks. Shota then calls out to the Heroes through their comms, telling them to help Izuku carve a straight path to Tomura. As Izuku makes his way through the horde of Quirks, Tiger shouts at Izuku to "do your best". Soon, Izuku manages to get in direct contact with "All For One" and bashes a Smash right through his chest.[40]
