Full Power!! is the one hundred and thirty-second episode of the My Hero Academia anime and the nineteenth episode of the sixth season.
Summary#
In the ruined streets of Japan, Grand and Turtle Neck from Ketsubutsu Academy are in the process of looking for any remaining civilians that need to be evacuated to their school. During another run, they receive a message from the Daina Police Station about a jailbreaker, one of the Villains freed from prison by Tomura and his allies, being spotted in the area and ask all Heroes to finish their searches quickly.
After a failed attempt to evacuate another group of civilians, much to Grand's anger, the pair receive an emergency call from their other classmates, Boomerang Man and Mr. Smith, who tell them to immediately take shelter as the jailbreaker they were alerted about earlier is headed in their direction. Seconds later, said Villain crashes through several buildings and lands on another to corner the two, revealing their identity to be Muscular. Grand tells Turtle Neck to get back up from Ms. Joke and evacuate any nearby civilians, while he stays back to take on Muscular.
Muscular easily overpowers Grand and pins him down, complaining that the boy isn't worth his time as he excitedly looks around for any nearby Heroes to fight. Not giving in easily, Grand begins using Vibrate on Muscular, who easily shrugs it off and gloats that his muscle fibers provide enough defense to block out his tremors. The boy then fires off a Tremoring Earth at maximum power, which the Villain simply overpowers by pilling more muscle fibers on to his body. Before Muscular can finish off the overwhelmed Grand, he receives a hard strike in the back by someone shrouded in a cloud of purple smoke, and is sent flying into a nearby building.
Muscular then turns to see a hooded Deku emerging from the purple smoke with Grand safely in his arms, who rushed into the fight after Danger Sense alerted him to the conflict. The Villain gets excited upon recognizing it's Deku, as he wants a rematch to relive the same rush he got during their first fight in The Beast's Forest. He wastes no time in engaging, as Muscular breaks and tosses the top of the building Deku was standing on, who easily Floats away. He then escapes by creating more of the purple smoke, as by this time he's unlocked the Quirk of the sixth user, En: Smokescreen.
Deku then lands near the building Turtleneck and the civilians took shelter by, and hands Grand to the girl, apologizing for not making it in time before he got hurt. Deku then tells Turtleneck to make sure Grand gets aid and runs off into the smoke he made to finish his fight with Muscular. The civilians, while still at odds with Heroes, take in Grand for treatment, and one of them admits they don't want to see anyone get hurt, so the civilians finally agree to listen to what the young heroes have to say about evacuation as the other two students wonder if that really was the same guy they briefly encountered during their Provisional Hero License Exam.
As Deku runs, he speaks with En's vestige about overusing Smokescreen to the point where he lost control of it back there. En acknowledges that due to the stockpiled power inside One For All, Smokescreen and the other users' abilities became much harder for Deku to use compared to them. He advises Deku to think of the extra Quirks less like Ultimate Moves, and more like tools he has to swap around based on what he needs for specific situations.
Deku tests this out and tries to bait Muscular by using Smokescreen on the ground to cloud his vision and then using Float to stay above and watch for his position. Muscular then flies in from below, and with a combination of Danger Sense and Blackwhip, Deku is able to bind Muscular and toss him into a nearby river. The boy then floats down and asks Muscular where Tomura and All For One are. Muscular tells him that he doesn't know, and all the previous two asked of him was to do whatever he wants.
Muscular then gets antsy at Deku's more strategic and boring fighting style, and yells for him to engage in an all-out brawl much like their first fight. Deku asks Muscular why he's taking this so far and if he hasn't sought any paths beside this one, even referring to him by his real name: Goto Imasuji. Muscular says that there isn't, as all he wants to do is live his life of bloodshed to the fullest without any regrets.
As Muscular tries to charge towards Deku, his muscle fibers suddenly begin to snap, as the stress from his movements and the damage from Grand's Vibrate has caused them to significantly weaken. Deku then takes it upon himself to finish the fight quickly and knocks out Muscular in one blow with a 45% Detroit Smash.
After Deku drops off the defeated Muscular at the Daina Police Station, he meets up with All Might in a nearby alleyway. He asks Deku if his arms and legs are injured, and the boy says they're fine due to him wearing Mid-Gauntlets: red, compressible support items All Might ordered from the United States before travel restrictions between Japan and the rest of the world came into effect. All Might then warns him that while durable, the Mid-Gauntlets are working prototypes that will break if Deku tried to draw out 100% of One For All into them.
All Might then receives a call from Hawks, who is helping Endeavor and Best Jeanist apprehend Villains in another part of the city. The five have decided to form a team with Deku at the center in order to locate All For One and Tomura, as well as apprehend as many jailbreakers possible. The boy then leaves to resume his patrol as soon as All Might starts relaying his condition to the other three, as he doesn't want his mentor to get caught up in any fights that may come his way.
Days prior, when the team up was formed, Izuku received some relieving news from his doctor about the state of his body. While he severely overused his arms once again when fighting Tomura, due to his body now being able to properly diffuse any recoil from his Quirk, as well his power now being strong enough to reinforce it, there was little lasting damage sustained following his participation in the War.
After the doctor still advises caution for his bodily health, All Might then tells Inko about One For All, as well as her son being a prime target of All For One and his cohorts. As he tries to explain that they'll have protections in place for him, Izuku tells them both that he's not going back, in order to make sure the Villains won't track him and potentially hurt more people he cares about. He then tells his mother he'll get stronger in order to stop them, and he promises to Inko that he'll come back soon as she cries in her son's arms.
Later that night, Izuku sees Gran Torino in the hospital to honor Nana's request. The man then apologizes for not stopping Tomura back then and tells Izuku to not be stubborn at the idea of killing him, as it can be necessary action in order to save someone from themselves. He then hands Izuku his old scarf and tells him to settle things with the League of Villains, regardless of how he chooses to deal with Tomura. Izuku then leaves the hospital wearing his "new" costume and the scarf, as the team of five head out into the night to start their mission.
