U.A. Sports Festival Arc#

In the Obstacle Race, Manga Fukidashi made it to 40th place.[1] Before the Cavalry Battle, he decides to team up with Yui Kodai and Kojiro Bondo, forming Team Kodai. As Team Bakugo and Monoma engage in a confrontation, Manga's team interferes by Kojiro using his Quirk to stop them.[2] However, Team Kodai is eventually knocked out of the match after they attempt to move towards Neito's Team, which causes them to fail in advancing to the tournament.[3]

Forest Training Camp Arc#

When Class 1-B arrives at the training camp. Homeroom teacher Vlad King explains they will be extending their Quirks and the more they use their Quirks, the stronger they will be by breaking their limits. He also says that Class 1-B needs to join the spotlight, prompting Manga to cry and apologize for disappointing him. When Class 1-B witness Class 1-A's training, the Wild, Wild Pussycats appear to explain that they will be there to help and guide them in their training.[4]

On the night of the third day, Class 1-B acts as the scaring group during the test of courage exercise. However, that night the Vanguard Action Squad also attacks the camp. He’s one of the many people incapacitated and placed in critical condition by Mustard's gas.[5]

Shie Hassaikai Arc#

Neito Monoma reveals that all of Class 1-B have passed the Provisional Hero License Exam.[6]

Joint Training Arc#

Manga and the rest of Class 1-B show up for the Joint Training Battle, with Neito loudly claiming that the momentum is now moving to their side. Upon selecting teams, Manga is paired up with Itsuka, Shihai, and Kinoko for the second match against Class 1-A team consisting of Momo Yaoyorozu, Fumikage Tokoyami, Toru Hagakure and Yuga Aoyama.[7]

Before the round begins, Itsuka devises a strategy to defeat Class 1-A. Itsuka's first plan is to use Shihai to attack their rivals with Dark Shadow. If this fails, Itsuka predicts the others will use light. This will be the signal for plan b. The light gives away Class 1-A's location, giving Manga and Kinoko the opening to barrage Class 1-A with their long-ranged Quirks.

After Shihai failed to capture Yuga, he and Kinoko proceed to initiate plan b.[8] As Kinoko spreads her mushrooms, Manga produces a large-string of Katakana using his Quirk "Comic" to separate Momo Yaoyorozu from the rest of her team. He then utters the word "ジメジメ" ("humidity"), creating a humidifier that boosts the growth of Kinoko's mushrooms even further, while hiding within the shadows.

Later on, Manga prevents Fumikage from chasing after Shihai, who captures Yuga Aoyama, by producing the Katakana "ピョン" ("boing") and "ギリ" ("grind"), which bounce into Fumikage as he is distracted by mushrooms growing on him. Because he has been using his Quirk too much and in rapid succession, Manga feels his throat getting a little sore, however his actions allow Shihai to remove Yuga from the match.

Fumikage comes across Toru who is entirely covered by mushrooms. Fumikage realizes that in order to stand a chance at winning, he and the other members of the Class 1-A team must locate their opponents, but the mushrooms hinder their movements and reveal their position. At that time, while facing Itsuka alone,[9] Momo manages to create and send to Fumikage and Toru a bag with infrared goggles for Fumikage and antifungal sprays to get rid of the mushrooms. Thanks to this, both Fumikage and Toru are ready to face their opponents.

From his hiding place, Manga watches as Fumikage heads to Kinoko and Shihai's position, not realizing that Toru has done the same with his, since thanks to the spray she manages to get rid of the mushrooms that made her Invisibility Quirk useless. Manga is attacked by Toru, unable to defend himself from Toru's blows. However, Manga is quickly saved by Itsuka's intervention, who grabs Toru in one of her fists while an unconscious Momo is roped to her. Since Kinoko also managed to defeat Fumikage, Class 1-B team wins the round.[10]

After this, Manga stays to watch the remaining rounds along with the rest of the students. The Joint Training Battle ends with victory for class 1-A,[11] and Manga expresses his discontent that his class ended up being defeated.[12] Despite the fierce competition and the result, the exercise ends on good terms between both classes, and later Class 1-B visits Class 1-A's dormitories for socializing and dinner.[13]

Endeavor Agency Arc#

With Hero Work-Studies back in effect, Wash takes Manga and Koji Koda from Class 1-A as trainees.[14]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc#

The months go by until it's late March. Thanks to the police investigation and its spy Hawks, the Hero Public Safety Commission has found out the plans of the Paranormal Liberation Front and its allies. With this info, the Commission organizes a large force of Pro Heroes, divided into several teams to take down the villain organization.

A team of heroes has the mission of storming the main headquarters of the Paranormal Liberation Front, while another team lead by Endeavor will do the same at the Jaku General Hospital, where the Nomu are created. Finally, a third team, made up mainly of students and lead by Burnin, will be in charge of evacuating the residents of a city near the hospital and taking them to a safe place. Manga is in the last one. When everything is ready, the operation start and Burnin signals the students to start evacuating the citizens.[15][16]

The evacuation of the city proceeds without any problem. Manga collaborates with Koji to evacuate all the animals in the city while his classmates take care of the citizens. Suddenly, the Jaku General Hospital and the entire area around it begin to falling apart, and the disintegration spreads rapidly until it reaches the city itself.[17]

Izuku and Shoto try to stop the destruction but they fail, so Burnin quickly orders the students to run away from the unstoppable destruction, evacuating everyone. Manga uses his Quirk to counter the decay wave coming.[18] Manga continued helping with rescue operations as the heroes fought the awakened Tomura Shigaraki.[19]

Final War Arc#

In the months that followed, and in the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One has escaped from Tartarus and proceeded to break into more maximum security prisons, liberating all the inmates in them. In addition, a majority of Heroes are quitting due to the spread of destruction being inflicted nationwide. With the whole country descending into further chaos and destruction, those that remain have come up with a plan for the all-out battle of the Final War against All For One and his army of villains. In order to deal with Tomura, they transform U.A. into a flying fortress, a "coffin in the sky" through which he can't escape and that they can control. Whenever he attempts to Decay the ground, the pieces fly up into the air to disintegrate safely, while new pieces are quickly rebuilt and replaced. The Fortress will also be surrounded by an electric gate that will freeze him up anytime he gets near it, preventing him from escaping.

To power both the electric gate, as well as to keep the fortress flying in the air, Manga is assigned to a team consisting of U.A. students capable of emitting electricity, including Denki Kaminari and Yuyu Haya, as they release their energy from a generator room right outside the barrier. As the battle starts, Denki and Manga are incredibly charged up to do their part in the plan, while Yuyu tries to get them to calm down.[20]

As Manga and the electric team keeps the electric barrier up, Katsuki unleashes a fully direct blast, releasing a ginormous Explosion that reverberates both the inside and outside of the Fortress. The effects are felt by everyone, with Yuyu questioning why Katsuki is attacking so heavily, and Denki reassuring her.[21]

As Manga continues to power the electric barrier, Izuku finally arrived at the battlefield and Mandalay tells them that they need to shut the electric barrier down for two seconds to let him inside. Mirio was able to distract Tomura for long enough for them to shut off the barrier to let him inside to fight. With Izuku inside, the Electrician team reactivates the electric barrier, allowing Izuku to finally confront Tomura inside of the U.A. Fortress.[22]

Unfortunately, the battle is falling apart when a freed Kurogiri teleported himself and Twice Doubles created by Himiko to Shota and Neito's location, causing their Erasure on Tomura to be undone. As a result, "Tomura" unleashes a massive explosion, destroying most of the fortress. With the power line busted and the electromagnetic barrier barely standing, Mandalay reports to everyone that someone has hacked into their system and they have lost control of the flight system, causing the fortress to start to fall from the sky.[23]

As U.A. is on a collision course to the city below, Mandalay escorts the electricity team out of their operation system and into combat, where Manga and Denki are shocked to see the observation deck being attacked by a swarm of Twice Doubles, crying out to their classmate and teacher in concern. Just then, U.A. is saved when it suddenly stops, with Mandalay reporting that it feels like the air has become a trampoline. This is thanks to the intervention of Gentle using his Quirk to stop it from falling.[24] Despite this, the Double swarm was being troublesome for the Heroes and students, with Mandalay continuing to bring the students to safety, while Manga helps to protect the barely conscious Neito from the Doubles. Fortunately, Himiko Toga was defeated and the Double swarm vanishes into thin air.[25]

Because of the excessive damage inflicted during the fighting, U.A can no longer maintain its altitude and was forced to make an emergency crash landing at the nearby coastal city. As the injured students and Heroes are escorted for care, Neito was left in critical condition and carried out on a stretcher for medical treatment, with Manga following along watching over him.[26]

Shortly afterward, Shota Aizawa has gained control over "Kurogiri" and is gathering up all the Heroes to provide reinforcements for the final remaining battles. Realizing they need all the help they can get, and learning they'll be able to instantly arrive on the battlefield, Manga volunteers alongside with his 1B classmates to teleport to Mt. Fuji where Izuku and Tomura are currently battling.[27] Manga and some of his 1B classmates have also been teleported to the battlefield so they can help Izuku defeat "All For One". With all the Heroes assembled, they declare "We are here!"[28]

As Izuku rushes forward, "All For One" unleashed a horde of Quirks, blasting away every Hero who tries to stop him, but they keep on countering against his attacks. Shota then calls out to the Heroes through their comms, telling them to help Izuku carve a straight path to Tomura. Manga shouts out boulder of words to block dozens of "All For One"'s Rivet Stabs, aiding Snipe to push back against these attacks.[29]
