Izuku Midoriya & Giulio Gandini vs. Paulo Gollini is a battle between Deku and Giulio against Paulo Gollini of the Gollini Family, plus several henchmen.[1]
Prologue#
After creating his brand new fortress, Dark Might makes contact with the real All Might through video communication. Through it he tries to swear a vow to All Might that he will become everything he was and more, but All Might assures the villain that he has already entrusted one of the U.A. students to become his successor and lead the next generation of heroes. Dark Might tells All Might he will make the students will soon devote themselves to the new Symbol of Peace.
After ending the connection, Dark Might begins to observe the rest of the fortress. Bruno sees on one of the cameras that Giulio made it into the fortress along with everyone else, with Deborah saying he looks familiar. Paulo insists on taking care of him in order to make up for letting Anna get away from the, and despite Dark Might's initial dismissal, he allows it, but warns Paulo that this is his last chance. Taking Anna's hand, he takes and Overmodification flower, along with the rest of the Gollini family, to boost his Quirk, and set out to right his wrong.
As he makes his way to Giulio's location, he activates his Erasure Spot Quirk, which causes Deku to fall down a nearby manhole and make his way towards the same area. After dealing with some henchmen sent their way, Deku and Giulio join forces to find the source of Deku's Quirks being deactivated.
Riding on Giulio's motorcycle, Giulio pulls out a device from one of the henchmen showing where the Quirk deactivation source is. He hands the device to Deku, who pushes a button, revealing a hidden passage behind some boulders, with two young men making their way in.
Battle#
As the two begin riding down the tunnel, Giulio tells Deku that those henchmen were probably after him, as he is the one who's trying to take Anna's life. Deku tries to ask why, but before he can, a missile is launched in their direction, exploding right behind them. More missiles make their way towards them, but Giulio's motorcycle unleashes electric balls that zap the missiles in place. The two men rush out of the tunnel to a beach area, where they see that Paulo and two other men are waiting for them.
Paulo tells one henchman with a missile launcher for a face to fire again. Giulio jumps off the motorcycle, leaving Deku to frantically get off himself, and he rushes towards the villains, shooting them with a gun from his prosthetic arm. The second henchmen blocks the bullets with a Barrier Quirk, which Deku notes that the other henchmen from before had to stick to using guns.
Paulo asks why Giulio is trying to kill the girl, which the latter says he made Miss Anna a promise, which makes the Gollini realize he works for the Scervino family. Giulio tries to urge the villains to not use Miss Anna's Quirk any more, and that they have no idea how her power actually works, but Paulo assures that they'll use her Quirk however they see fit, and will play an important roll in Dark Might's assent.
Giulio continues to try and shoot the villains, but the Barrier Henchman keeps blocking the bullets. The Weapons Henchman changes his head back to normal and summons a machine gun and begins firing at the assassin, forcing him to take cover behind a beach rock. and fire from there. Deku is also hiding behind a rock, and notices that they're all standing in once place. He realizes that Paulo is the one erasing his power and begins to come up with a plan. He makes his way toward Giulio and asks him to keep them distracted, saying if he does, he'll be able to defeat them. Giulio controls his motorcycle from his arm to assist Deku.
Deku makes his way forward, evading the gunfire from the Weapons Villain as he does. Paulo look and sees that Giulio's bike is charging right at them. The henchmen try to stop it with their Quirks, but it uses one of the rocks to jump in the air, detaching the armor around it and exploding, creating a giant dark cloud and obscuring the villains' sight. Deku seizes the opportunity to dive in closer, reactivating his Quirk.
The Barrier villain ties to block Deku's punch, but it's strong enough to knock him and Paulo away, which nullifies One For All and the Weapon Quirk. Deku realizes that Paulo is able to create a field that erases Quirks, while also creating another field inside that allows his allies to use their Quirks. Both Deku and the Weapons Villain make a rush for the spot to use their Quirks again.
The Barrier Villain sets up another barrier and the Weapons Villain's Quirk reactivates allowing him to summon his machine gun, but Deku is also able to step into the field and use Air Force to blast the henchmen away. Paulo tries to run away, but Deku catches him with Blackwhip, jumps in the air and lands a Manchester Smash to the head, deactivating the Erasure Field and allowing Deku full control over his Quirk once more.
Aftermath#
Before they can celebrate, Giulio points his gun and Deku before aiming up in the sky at a newly appearing Dark Might, accompanied by Kamile, who blocks the shot with a quick shield. Dark Might notes that Deku can use multiple Quirks, and after All Might mentioned finding a successor, realizes it's probably him. Deku jumps up and tries kicking him, but Dark Might is able to catch his leg, and counter with his own Bologna Smash, sending Deku flying towards the nearby mountain, knocking him out.
Giulio is able to use a grappling hook from his arm to catch Deku before he hit the ground. Dark Might uses some of his coins to create two Golem Monsters that surround Paulo, who grab the defeated villain and are lifted up by Kamile. Paulo begs for just one more chance, but Dark Might says he's given him multiple chances and has only ever shown utter laziness. Paulo beggs for mercy, which Dark Might considers would be a sign of peace, but ultimately dismisses it and summons a black hole blow Paulo that the two golems drop him into.
Before Dark Might leaves he tells Giulio to let Deku know that he will accept he's the future eventually, but until then he'll accept his challenges. While making his way back, a cut appears on Dark Might's cheek, which he immediately heals, and says that Deku is in need of a strict reeducation.
