History#
The season was announced after the final episode of Season 7.
Due to the manga concluding the previous year, Kohei Horikoshi's input in the season has significantly increased compared to the previous seven. He aids production by overseeing the scriptwriting process, sending the studio sketches, and offering suggestions for extra scenes to be added into the anime.[1]
The English dub of the season premiered on October 18, 2025, once again produced by Crunchyroll and releasing two weeks behind the premiere of the Japanese version.[2]
