Kojiro's team does not get enough points and is eliminated from the competition.[3]
Forest Training Camp Arc#
When Class 1-B arrives at the training camp, homeroom teacher Sekijiro Kan explains that they will be extending their Quirks and the more they use their Quirks, the stronger they will be by breaking their limits. Class 1-B witness Class 1-A's training and Itsuka asks Shota how they can observe everyone. He explains that is the reason The Pussycats are around.[4]
On the 3rd night of the training camp, Class 1-B acts as the scaring group during the "Test of Courage". However, the Vanguard Action Squad arrive to interrupt the fun by invading the Beast's Forest in search of Katsuki. When Mustard emits his Gas Quirk, Kojiro is one of the many Class 1-B students that get knocked unconscious by its effects.[5] He is seen next to Sen Kaibara in the aftermath of the battle, being rescued later by Shota during the aftermath of the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion.[6]
Shie Hassaikai Arc#
The day after the Provisional License Exam, the U.A. High School schedules for an assembly outside the school's dormitories. Class 1-B meets Class 1-A in the hallways, and Neito takes the opportunity to boast that all of class 1-B have passed the exam while in Class 1-A two students failed.[7]
U.A. School Festival Arc#
Like the rest of his classmates, Kojiro participates in the U.A. School Festival by playing a role in Class 1-B's "Romeo, Juliet and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Return of the Kings!"[8]
Joint Training Arc#
Kojiro, along with the rest of Class 1-B are pitted against Class 1-A as part of the Joint Training Battle. He is placed in the fourth round of match-ups, teaming up with Setsuna Tokage, Yosetsu Awase, and Togaru Kamakiri. They face Katsuki Bakugo, Kyoka Jiro, Hanta Sero, and Rikido Sato.[9]
As the fourth match starts, Kojiro tells his teammates that Hanta and Kyoka will be the most problematic for them. Yosetsu follows up by saying that with Katsuki and Rikido in the mix as well, Class 1-A has the perfect balance between offense and defense and that if they lag behind they are done for. Setsuna declares that the first team to make a move wins and tells her team to advance.
Class 1-B ambushes the rival team while Setsuna barrages Katsuki with rapid-fire small hits using her Lizard Tail Splitter Quirk. Hanta uses Barricade Tape to protect his team but Setsuna tells Kojiro it's his turn. Kojiro appears and uses his Super Move Glue Squall to spray glue all over Hanta's tape barricade and is happy that Setsuna's plan worked. Togaru uses his Quirk to slash a large pipe that crashes down toward the other team. Rikido tries to sacrifice himself to hold it up but Katsuki manages to fire a large enough explosion to save his team.[10]
Seeing that their initial plan had failed, Kojiro retreats to a larger area to initiate Setsuna's backup plan of ambushing Class 1-A, but Katsuki is willing to obtain an absolute victory and pursues him. After making Yosetsu fall into a trap by his teammates, Katsuki flies at Kojiro. Setsuna supports Kojiro with her body pieces and the latter counterattacks with adhesive but Katsuki barrages Kojiro with a wide cascade of explosions. Rikido quickly restrains Kojiro afterwards.
Shortly after Setsuna and Togaru would also be defeated, obtaining Class 1-A in the victory of the fourth round.[11] Vlad King expresses his disappointment in Class 1-B failure, and the team apologizes to each other for the pitiful loss.[12]
After their defeat, Kojiro stays to watch the last round along with the rest of the students. The Joint Training Battle ends with victory for class 1-A.[13] Despite the fierce competition and the result, the exercise ends on good terms between both classes, and later Class 1-B visits Class 1-A's dormitories for socializing and dinner.[14]
Endeavor Agency Arc#
With the start of the second Hero Works-Studies, Kojiro interns with a glue tube-headed Pro Hero during U.A. High School's winter break.[15]
Final War Arc#
In the months that followed, and in the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One has escaped from Tartarus and proceeds to break into several more maximum security prisons, liberating the inmates. Due to the chaos inflicted by Gigantomachia and the mass breakout of prisoners, the whole country entered a state of total chaos and anarchy. In addition, many heroes resigned and called it quits because of the massive criticism of their work, and the destruction spreading unchecked. With the Heroes' numbers dwindling rapidly, those that remain prepare themselves for the Final War against the army of villains led by All For One.
When Shota Aizawa managed to regain control of Kurogiri, he is assembling an army of Heroes to provide reinforcements for the battle between Izuku Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki at Mt. Fuji. Kojiro volunteers to accompany some of his classmates to teleport to Mt. Fuji using Kurogiri's Warp Gate to provide support for Izuku.[16] With all the Heroes assembled, they declare, "We are here".[17] "All For One" retaliates by sending a haphazard attack of Quirks at the Heroes, as each of them blocks these attacks, allowing Izuku to close in and smash him right on the chest.[18] Eventually, Izuku manages to defeat Tomura once and for all, just before he succumbs to his injuries and dies as his body disintegrates into ashes.[19]
