Sen Kaibara, also known as Spiral, was a student in Class 1-B at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero.
Eight years after the Final War, Sen has graduated from U.A. and has become a Pro Hero.
Appearance#
Sen is a young man of average height with dark brown, shaggy hair and black eyes with white pupils, which look relatively thin and lazy-looking. He has a modest athletic build, the same as most of his classmates, and a slight tan.
His Hero Costume is a white windbreaker with four grommets holding spiral tubes, underneath is a dark blue undershirt with drill-patterned rings around the base of the neck, hem, and arms. He has white sweatpants with horizontal drill-patterned rings that go up to the thighs, two red holsters on both sides that held by the midsection and brown shoes. He also wears a pair of spiral-patterned gloves that cover only his fingers.
Eight years after the Final War, Sen is taller and his hair is shorter. His windbreaker is now brown instead of white, and his pants are now beige instead of also white.
Personality#
Sen is a levelheaded person who remains mostly calm and focused on many occasions and is one of the plainer students in his class demeanor-wise. He likes going with the flow in most situations and doesn't hold it against anyone who feels otherwise. However, he tends to be very open with his opinions and has no trouble disagreeing with someone out loud.[3]
He is also shown to be more mature than Neito Monoma, telling the latter to quit provoking Katsuki Bakugo and focus on his goal during the Cavalry Battle.[4]
Despite his serious demeanor, Sen can sometimes warm up during times when he drops his solemn behavior, such as when he shows enthusiasm in fighting against Mashirao Ojiro during the Joint Training Battle.[5]
He is also rather belligerent in personality and often gets dragged along in his friends' antics. Sen is also described as an "ikemen", having the appearance of a good-looking man.[6]
Abilities#
Overall Abilities: Sen has proven to be a capable combatant with a great handle on his Quirk and some proficiency in close-quarters combat. Using the gyrating effects of his Quirk in tandem with his hand-to-hand combat abilities, Sen can deliver powerful spinning attacks that can damage his enemies, which are amplified if he uses his drill gloves.
During the third round of the Joint Training Battle, Sen used his gyration-based fighting style to force Mashirao Ojiro, a skilled martial artist, on the defensive.
He is also shown to be bilingual, able to understand Pony and Juzo's English perfectly.
Quirk#
Gyrate: Sen's Quirk allows him to make any part of his body rotate at high speed like a drill. He can significantly enhance his hand-to-hand combat skills using this heavy rotation to augment his physical strikes.
Stats#
Equipment#
Drill Gloves: Sen wears a pair of spiral-patterned gloves that cover only his fingers. These gloves increase Sen's offensive capabilities as they can be used to damage his foes greatly and make physically defending against his Quirk impractical. Because of his Gyrate Quirk, these spirals act like a drill and cut into an enemy.
