Joint Training Arc#
Jurota along with the rest of Class 1-B are pitted against Class 1-A as part of the Joint Training Battle. Shota Aizawa and Vlad King hold a Joint Training exercise between their classes during the early days of winter, with Hitoshi Shinso as a guest for this exercise, due being reviewed for consideration into the Hero Course.[9]
Vlad King and Shota begin the exercise immediately afterward. Each class chooses lots to split into five teams of four. He is grouped with Ibara Shiozaki, Kosei Tsuburaba and Hiryu Rin. They participate in the first round of the exercise against Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Tsuyu Asui, Koji Koda and Hitoshi Shinso.
Shortly after starting the match, Jurota ambushes Class 1-A team in his Beast enhanced form and smashes both Eijiro and Tsuyu through nearby pipes with Roaring Rage. Kosei, who was riding Jurota, uses his Solid Air to imprison Koji in an Air Prison. Hitoshi then uses his Artificial Vocal Cords to imitate Kosei's voice to commend Jurota. The latter replies and falls for Hitoshi's Brainwash Quirk.[10]
Kosei quickly traps Hitoshi in another Air Prison and wakes Jurota up from his brainwashing. When Jurota charges to attack, Denki steps in the way with his own Quirk. He gets smacked aside but manages to shock Jurota. Kosei's efforts to escape electrocution by jumping off Jurota leaves him open to be grabbed by Tsuyu with her tongue. As she proceeds to carry him to their jail cell, Jurota proceeds to chase after her.
Koji and Eijiro try to keep him back but uses Re-Beast to dodge them and grabs both of them. Jurota throws Eijiro into the air toward Ibara and grabs Koji and covers his mouth so he can't use his Quirk. After locking up Kosei, Denki and Tsuyu try to rescue their ally but Jurota's sense of smell helps him evade their attacks and escapes for the time being. Both Eijiro and Koji are imprisoned, leaving the score as 2-1.
Jurota meets with her teammates Ibara and Hiryu. Despite Kosei's capture, Jurota is optimistic and discusses the strategy to use to defeat the rival team. Suddenly he smells Tsuyu approaching from three different positions. To confuse their sense of smell, class 1-A had covered their bodies with the mucus that Tsuyu secreted.
Ibara is disappointed with her rivals schemes and prepares to defend her team.[11] Hiryu wonders how their locations were uncovered only to notice one of Denki's pointers on Jurota's body. Just then, Ibara captures Denki and brings him forward. Denki tries to shock Jurota with his sharpshooting just as Ibara starts covering him in her vines, but Hiryu uses his scales to knock the pointer off if his ally's leg. Ibara believes Hiryu is telling her to respread the vines but she gets brainwashed by Hitoshi.
It turns out that they have fallen into the trap of Class 1-A. Denki offered to use himself as a decoy to give Tsuyu and Hitoshi an opening. Jurota goes wild trying to find Hitoshi and is unable to communicate effectively with Hiryu due to worrying about Hitoshi's Quirk.
While, Tsuyu captures Ibara and fights Hiryu, Jurota finds and attacks Hitoshi. Hitoshi uses his binding cloth to bring down several pipes onto Jurota's head. Jurota doesn't falter and prepares to attack Shinso, but Tsuyu throws Hiryu into his head and knocks them both out.
Tsuyu and Hitoshi carry a restrained Hiryu to the jail cell while a brainwashed Ibara carries Jurota. Round 1 ends with a 4-2 victory for Class 1-A.[12] Vlad King scolds his students for not choosing either Ibara or Jurota as their leader. Jurota apologizes to Ibara for allowing Class 1-A to complete their planning and Neito commends his classmates on their effort.[13]
After the match, Jurota watches the remaining rounds. After the third round ended in a draw, Denki complains that Pony forced that result by avoiding facing Mezo, but Jurota corrects him that his classmate's tactic is valid, reminding him that in real life, retiring and waiting for reinforcements is a reasonable strategy.[14]
The Joint Training Battle ends with victory for class 1-A.[15] Despite the fierce competition and the result, the exercise ends on good terms between both classes, and later Class 1-B visits Class 1-A's dormitories for socializing and dinner.[16]
Endeavor Agency Arc#
Due the increase of the villain activity, The Public Safety Commission demand all the students heroes for all academies to undergo practical field training, restarting the Hero Work-Studies program.
With the start of the second Work Study, Jurota and his classmate Nirengeki team up Rikido and Mashirao with to be trained by the hero Shishido.[17]
My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission#
Flect Turn, the leader of the Anti-Quirk cult Humarise, has detonated a Trigger Bomb in a major city, killing thousands and destroying the entire infrastructure. In response to the act of terrorism, the World Heroes Association mobilizes the largest anti-terror joint task force to storm all the branches that the cult has spread around the world.
Jurota travels with Mashiro, Nirengeki, Rikido, and Shishido to the United States, to join the American Task Force, which has the mission of assaulting the base that Humarise has in New York City. Despite the defense of the cultists stationed there, the heroes succeed in raiding the place, and many of them are arrested. However, the main targets, which are the Trigger Bombs, are nowhere to be found. Since the same goes with the assaults of other Task Forces in other countries, the director of the WHA orders everyone to be on standby.
Days later, Flect Turn broadcasts worldwide that in less than two hours his organization will set off multiple Trigger Bombs in the twenty-five cities around the world where its branches used to be. The inhabitants of the threatened cities soon panic, causing numerous accidents. The American team scrambles in defense to focus their efforts on evacuating city. During the search they are informed that Izuku, Katsuki, and Shoto have the key to deactivate all the bombs, and they go to the main headquarters of Humarise to do it.
The heroes find the Trigger Bomb, having to fight Humarise's agents stationed there to get hold of it. The heroes keep fighting until the countdown ends, but none of the bombs go off thanks to the valiant efforts of Izuku's group who has succeeded in their mission to defuse the Trigger Bombs, saving the lives of millions of people. With the crisis averted, Jurota leaves the country and returns to U.A.[18]
Paranormal Liberation War Arc#
The months go by until it's late March. The Hero Public Safety Commission had uncovered the plans of Tomura Shigaraki and his organization, the Paranormal Liberation Front. They organize a large force of heroes to take the villain organization down. While a team of heroes raid the Jaku General Hospital, where the Nomu are created, another team does the same at Gunga Mountain Villa, the Front's main headquarters.
Jurota is a member of the Villa Backup Team along with some of his classmates and Class 1-A students. Their mission is to provide support to the heroes who raid the Gunga Mountain Villa and prevent villains from escaping.[19][20]
After the raid commenced, heroes gained the upper hand, taking down many of the Front's members.[21] However, the Jaku team allowed Tomura to awaken and he ordered Gigantomachia to come to him.[22] This results in the giant defeating many heroes as he simply walked towards Jaku City. Kyoka warns her teammates that she has detected with her Quirk something insanely huge approaching them, prompting the few heroes who are there to go ahead to secure the frontlines.
Not far from there, Midnight, with the help of Kamui Woods, tries to put Gigantomachia to sleep, as sheer force did nothing to him. They are however stopped by Dabi and Mr. Compress, who are riding on the giant's back, along with other lieutenants. Midnight lies on the ground in a bad shape and she contacts Momo through their comms, telling her that she needs to put Gigantomachia asleep with an anesthetic. Communication is cut off when Midnight is assaulted by PLF members.
After carefully thinking about the situation, Momo explains to the other students her plan to ambush the enemy, creating for that purpose a large number of vials of undiluted sedative and giving each student a vial.[23] Her plan is to try to get Gigantomachia to swallow at least a vial filled with sedative to make him fall asleep.
Following Momo's lead, the students set the trap for Gigantomachia. Juzo uses his Quirk to soften up the ground and Momo creates explosives with her Quirk and plant them in the softened areas. Momo also creates several ropes to which Minoru sticks several of his Pop Off spheres, placing the ropes in a strategic position for when the enemy falls into the trap. As they planned, Gigantomachia step into the students' trap and he falls to the ground. The ropes covered in Minoru's orbs stick to his chin, and while the giant tries to get out, several students, including Jurota, pull the strings to force him open his mouth, while the others charge at him to give him the sedative.
The PLF lieutenants who are on Gigantomachia’s back defend the monsters and themselves from the students’ assault, with Dabi creating a fire barrier to prevent the students from getting close. The giant himself blows away several students with his powerful breath, but when he tries to get out of the softened earth, the bombs that Momo planted explode, causing him to sink even deeper. Several heroes come to help the students, with Mt. Lady pushing Gigantomachia down on the ground to open up his mouth for the sedative to be administered.[24]
Although Gigantomachia shakes off the heroes, fortunately Eijiro Kirishima manages to throw a vial into Gigantomachia's mouth, and when the giant is about to crush him, Jurota and other students start shooting him with cannons created by Momo, allowing Eijiro to be rescued by Setsuna Tokage. Several heroes led by Majestic arrive to take charge of Gigantomachia now that he has ingested the sedative, because the more he moves the faster it will spread.[25]
However, annoyed by the constant interruptions, Gigantomachia transforms, taking on an armored appearance, and with his enormous strength he finally manages to get out of the trap and easily defeat the heroes, to continue on his way to Tomura, destroying everything in his path. Before being defeated, Majestic uses his Quirk to bring the U.A. students to safety, who can only watch with complete horror at the destruction left by the monster.[26]
Final War Arc#
In the months that followed and in the aftermath of the Paranormal Liberation War, All For One has escaped from Tartarus, and proceeded to break into several more maximum security prisons, liberating the inmates. Due to the chaos inflicted by Gigantomachia and the mass breakout of prisoners, the whole country entered a state of total chaos and anarchy. In addition, many heroes resigned and called it quits because of the massive criticism of their work, and the destruction spreading unchecked.
With the number of Heroes rapidly dwindling, that that remain prepare for the Final War to defeat All For One and his army of villains. Knowing that All For One is keeping tabs on the Heroes through Search, his mole Yuga Aoyama and his family are utilized in order to lure him out of hiding. Their next step of the plan is to make use of Kurogiri's Warp Gate to allow them to warp themselves into the fight, to catch All For One off guard, as well as warp the villains to locations all over Japan, separating them.[27]
Eventually, the Heroes were starting to win each battle until the only fight that remains was between Izuku and Tomura Shigaraki. Eventually, Shota Aizawa, now with "Kurogiri" under his control, starts to assemble all the remaining Heroes that are still able to fight, to provide reinforcements for the final battles. Ibara joins the army of heroes through the Warp Gate to teleport themselves to Mt. Fuji where Izuku and Tomura and currently battling to the death.[28] Jurota and some of his 1B classmates have also been teleported to the battlefield so they can help Izuku defeat "All For One". With all the Heroes assembled, they declare "We are here!"[29]
As Izuku runs toward "All For One", the villain unleashed hordes of Quirk attack all over the battlefield, blasting away every Hero who gets in his way, but they all keep countering against his attacks. Shota then calls out to the Heroes through their comms, telling them to help Izuku carve a straight path to Tomura. "All For One" sends a wave of Rivet Stabs and Black Lightning at him, but Jurota and several U.A. Hero Course students jump in the way to take the hits and block the attacks. Soon, more Heroes continue to cover Izuku long enough for him to come into direct contact with the villain and bashes him with a Smash right through his chest.[30] Eventually, Izuku manages to defeat Tomura once and for all, just before Tomura succumbs to his injuries and dies as his body disintegrates into ashes.[31]
