Captain Celebrity Final Stage is a show that takes place at the Tokyo Sky Egg. It was organized by Makoto Tsukauchi as a farewell party for Captain Celebrity before his return to the United States, and features numerous Japanese Heroes.
Prologue#
At the Marukane Department Store, the Narufest Team and Captain Celebrity celebrate Christmas. After the celebration, Makoto informs Captain Celebrity that he can return to the United States next year, as his license will be reinstated, since most of his lawsuits turned out to be fraudulent. She also informs him that his wife Pamela will soon give birth, which surprises Captain Celebrity because he did not have idea that she was pregnant, but he soon becomes excited at the idea of becoming a father.
Once the party ends, everyone heads home. However, a flying creature called Bomber grabs the taxi the Sisters of Saint Lila's Academy are riding in and takes off, and Captain Celebrity immediately gives chase to rescue the girls. It was all a trap set by the Villain Number 6 to test Captain Celebrity's abilities and powers, causing the creature to self-destruct. Although injured, the hero manages to rescue the girls unharmed, and dozens of witnesses gather around to record and photograph his heroic feat. Meanwhile, Number 6 figures out how his Quirk works and leaves to set another trap to kill him.[1]
As a result, Captain Celebrity's popularity skyrockets, and during an interview, he make the announcement to the public on his return back to the United States. Meanwhile, at the Marukane, everyone is commenting on Captain Celebrity recent approval rating and how this led to all the merchandise selling out. Seeing a business opportunity, Makoto suddenly announces that the venue for Captain Celebrity's farewell party at the end of March in not going to take place in the Naruhata Public Hall but instead the Tokyo Sky Egg, making it a huge event with the theme being the cooperation between the heroes of Japan and the US. She also adds that the Narufest team will be participating in the event.
This last announcement catches everyone by surprise, and the girls freak out at the idea of performing in front of so many people, with the captain of the East Naruhata High Dance Squad tries to get them back in order by saying that they'll just have to train harder than ever for this show. Captain Celebrity reassures them, saying that all they have to do is act and prepare as they always have. Kazuho appreciates his kind words, but says that she and the others wants to make this extra special for him.
Makoto informs them that they won't have much time on stage, so the dance team captain recommends they choreograph Captain Celebrity-themed dance routine before moving on to their remix of the Marukane jingle. Makoto also wants to add the Captain Celebrity cheerleaders to their group along with Ouendan's team and leaves a note to coordinate things properly later.
Once everything is decided, during the days leading up to the party, the whole group undergoes rigorous training and practices the choreography with C.C. Cheerleaders, while Captain Celebrity keeps up his appearances. The event is heavily promoted, and in the meantime, Makoto busies herself gathering heroes to show up at the party. She enlists heroes like Ingenium and Team Idaten, Midnight, Present Mic, Best Jeanist, Ryukyu, Uwabami, Mirko, Edgeshot, Gang Orca and his sidekicks, Snipe, Airjet, Manual, Death Arms, Wash, the Wild, Wild Pussycats, and many more. Eraser Head says he'll come if he's not busy, and Endeavor immediately rejects to participate, deeming the event absurd.[2]
The Event#
After several weeks of preparations, the day of Captain Celebrity's big farewell party at the Tokyo Sky Egg finally arrives. Thousands of enthusiastic fans buy merchandise and crowd the entrances to attend the event. Once the dome is filled and the guests are settled, the lights dim and the show kicks off.
Acting as the announcer at the event, Present Mic starts hyping up the crowd as the heroes of Japan make their big entrance on stage. As the crowd roars, Present Mic introduces Captain Celebrity, who flies above the people while his Ouendan team cheers him on. Then, his cheerleading squad – which for the occasion includes Kazuho, Miu, and Yu – hit the stage and perform their routine, singing his theme. The Sisters of Saint Lila's Academy are thrown into the air and easily caught by Captain Celebrity, who makes his grand entrance while carrying the three girls in his arms, being received by a standing ovation.[3]
The event proceeds smoothly until Captain Celebrity decides to show the audience a photo of himself with his wife Pamela and their newborn child after the birth, projecting it from his phone and the stage monitor, which leaves Makoto stunned by the photo he's chosen. The hero asks for silence from the audience, as he's about to make a surprise call to his wife. He then phones Pamela, who complains because she was about to go to sleep after putting their son to bed. Captain Celebrity apologizes for forgetting about the time zone difference.
Captain Celebrity tells her about his stunt, and Pamela immediately freaks out and asks her husband if he's showing anyone that awful picture of her, the very one on display to his massive audience. The woman tries to settle herself, and says its fine if he's just showing it to a handful of co-workers. Captain Celebrity nervously tries to come clean, as Pamela correctly assumes he showed it at some kind of event after-party in Tokyo, and admits to him that while she's not happy, she'll forgive him as long as it wasn't more than fifty people.
Her husband then meekly says the event is still going and that he just showed it to fifty thousand people, which makes Pamela screech at her husband before hanging up the call, leaving the Hero in an awkward position. Faced with this situation, Makoto decides to move on to the next act ahead of schedule, while Captain Celebrity leaves the stage to try to resolve the mess with his wife.
While Captain Celebrity is away, all the guest heroes put on a show for everybody: Ingenium and his sidekick Bigshot run up a ramp while Enigma holds a large hoop for them to pass through while performing stunts. Best Jeanist uses his Fiber Master Quirk to entertain by decking Midnight, Uwabami, Mirko and Ryukyu with blue dresses, dazzling the audience with their beauty. Airjet flies over the stage holding two balloons that are used by Edgeshot and Snipe to show their marksmanship skills. The Wild, Wild Pussycats strike a team pose. Gang Orca and Death Arms compete in an arm wrestling match while Present Mic hypes up the audience. Wash uses his Clean Bubbler Quirk to lift the cheerleaders squad and the Little Sisters into the air, etc.
The event goes smoothly, and Makoto sends Koichi to look for Captain Celebrity, because soon he must back on stage. The boy found him in the Observation Deck, where he is still trying to apologize to Pamela.[4]
Villain Attack#
While the Captain Celebrity’s Final Stage was taking place, a police operation was underway several kilometers away. After months of investigation, Detective Naomasa had discovered that the pharmaceutical company Onomura Pharma Corp. was a front for the criminal organization known as the Villain Factory.
As a result, he led a Police Force, along with the Heroes Eraser Head and Fat Gum, to raid the company building, reaching a secret laboratory where illegal experiments were being conducted with Trigger and other substances to produce Next-Level Villains and Bombers. However, the villain Number 6 was also there and triggered the explosion of several Bombers, destroying the facility. He managed to escape with five of the creatures to carry out his plan to kill Captain Celebrity.[3]
While the hero is still apologizing to his wife on the phone, the Bombers arrive and attack the Tokyo Sky Egg, causing the structure to shake and everyone inside to wonder what was happening. In the face of this threat, Captain Celebrity immediately suits up for battle and flies outside to face the creatures.[4]
