Synopsis#

Team Ups Arc#

One day, Octoid begins rampaging in Naruhata and is confronted by Koichi Haimawari. Octoid then chases after Koichi and starts flinging rocks at him. Koichi makes his way towards Recycle Shop: Hoppers and runs into Eraser Head. Octoid tries attacking two girls but is binded by Eraser Head's Capturing Weapon. However, Octoid reveals two extra arms and wounds Eraser and tries to kill him, but is pushed back by Koichi's Shooty-Go-Blam.[1]

Octoid is unfazed and annoyed at the attack, but is distracted by the Hotta brothers, who enhanced their Grasshopper Quirks with a legal version of Trigger. Koichi, Eraser and the Hotta brothers then run away to lure Octoid, who is kept back by Koichi's blasts along the way. They make their way to Kirihito Kamachi's warehouse, where Octoid crashes in and messes up Kirihito's place.

Irritated by the predicament, Kirihito fights Octoid, distracting him long enough to be blinded by Eraser Head and hit with a more powerful SGB from Koichi.[2] Once again, the attack only ticks off Octoid and forces him to chase around Koichi more. Eraser and the Hottas lure Octoid into an opening and capture him in a net. Kirihito accidentally gets close to the net and starts another commotion with Octoid, bringing down the warehouse.

Octoid escapes and hides in an alley, but is found by Number 6. Octoid charges at Number 6, but is easily defeated by the latter's Quirk. Number 6 was about to leave after extracting a sample of blood from Octoid, but the latter flings a rock at him and slightly scratches his face.

Enraged by Octoid's attack, Number 6 rants that he won't let anything happen to his scar, and activates his Overclock Quirk to brutalizes Octoid in reprisal. Ikajiro is left seriously injured but alive due the limits of Number 6 with his Quirk. Irritated by this, Number 6 steps on Octoid, telling him that he has about five seconds before his cooldown period ends, after which he's going to speed up again and kill him.

As the villains counts down and prepares to finish off Octoid, Koichi and others show up. Not wanting to get caught, Number 6 speeds off to leave the pathway, and Octoid is taken into custody.[3]

School Days Arc#

Some time later, Ikajiro was released from custody but had nowhere to live, so he began living with Kirihito in tents where the warehouse used to be. When Koichi and Eraser visit the Hottas' shop, Ikajiro introduces himself and apologizes for the trouble he caused as Octoid.

Kirihito and the Hotta brothers reveal that they are planning to open a cafe using the money they received from the villain damage insurance payment for the warehouse and welfare subsidy that Kirihito and Ikajiro get for oversized housing. Ikajiro mentions that he will be a chef. Ikajiro takes notice of the stray cat Koichi brought and is adored by it, and they decide to adopt it as a shop cat.[4]

Final Performance Arc#

During the next two years, Hopper's Cafe opens with Kirihito as the manager.

One day, Kirihito and Ikajiro help Koichi and Kazuho by stopping and capturing two thugs. Ikajiro and Teruo hand out flyers for their shop while Kirihito lectures and tries to convince the thugs to work as dishwashers at their cafe. Kirihito happily announces that they hired two new workers. Ikajiro helps two girls take photos with the vigilantes before joining the photo himself.[5]

Weeks later, Koichi goes to Hopper's Cafe for help, as Kazuho had been missing for days, shocking Ikajiro and his co-workers.[6] They are even more shocked later that night, as Bee☆Pop emerges and unleashes several bombings on Naruhata.[7] The next morning, the Hopper's Cafe workers discuss the situation and wonder where Koichi is.[8]

Several days pass by, and Koichi and Kazuho's friends take cover at Hopper's Cafe while Bee☆Pop attacks again. They are frustrated that they can't do much to help.[9] Ikajiro later watches as Bee☆Pop sings her new song, with some noticing the desperation in the lyrics.[10]

Naruhata Lockdown Arc#

Koichi and Kazuho's friends arrive at Hopper's Cafe some time after Kazuho is hospitalized, with Ichiro informing them that her condition is neither worsening nor improving and Ikajiro saying that Koichi is doing whatever he can to protect her. The Hoppers staff attempt to cheer them up by offering them food, saying it's on the house. They note that until things settle down, they won't be getting as many customers.[11]
