U.S. Army#
Cathleen's Squadron#
Cathleen has an excellent companionship and camaraderie with her army buddies, whom she affectionately calls Bros. They respect and appreciate her and were always there to encourage her. A key moment was when Cathleen was depressed about not being strong enough, believing it was because she was a girl, but they cast away her doubts and encouraged her, telling her they would be there to help her.[1] They're willing to break rules and orders to follow Star to Japan.[2]
When they fight together against a threat, they manage to coordinate perfectly with Cathleen and her Quirk, which is of great help to her in battle. Cathleen respects them so much that she assures them that, if they fall in combat, she would make sure to bring their remains back to their families.[3] However, she refuses the idea of sacrificing their lives.
When she was being disintegrated by Decay, one of Cathleen's last thoughts was to thank them for their loyalty and for always being there to support her. After her death, due the great respect they felt for their fallen friend, they stick around in Japan to help the heroes, instead of returning to the US.[4]
Commander Agpar#
Cathleen Bate is under the command of Agpar, who is in charge of overseeing her actions and providing her with military support when needed. Despite Cassie's tendency to act independently against orders, Agpar acknowledges that her brash attitude and willfulness inspires the freedom in their country.[5] While she was dying, Cathleen apologizes to him for all the trouble she caused. After her death, Agpar started carrying a photo of her in her memory.[6]
Commander Apgar was very fond of Catheen, to the point of chastising the President of the United States when he proposed making a deal with All for One, since it would make Star and Stripe's sacrifice be for nothing.[7]
Pro Heroes#
All Might#
Cathleen felt great admiration and gratitude for All Might after he saved her and her family's lives from some villains. Although they only knew each other for a short time, he was her main inspiration to become a hero, to the point Cathleen always considered him her master, always trying to be on his same level. In order to pay tribute to the peace he brought about, in imitation of All Might's signature hairstyle, she gave herself eight antenna bangs.[3]
When All Might asked for help from foreign heroes, Cathleen was the first to respond to his request, immediately traveling to Japan without waiting for orders.[2] When she was killed by Tomura, one of the last things she thought before ending up disintegrated was to thank him for everything he did and inspired her. Toshinori was saddened when he learned of her death, as he had always wanted to meet her again after so much time.[6]
