Absorption and Release is a Quirk used by the Four-Eyed Nomu.[1]
Description#
This Quirk gives its user the ability to absorb emitter-based attacks, and send them back at their opponent.
The Four-Eyed Nomu used this Quirk when battling Endeavor during the Hosu Incident, absorbing and releasing the flames from his Hellflame back at the Pro Hero.
Weaknesses#
This Quirk doesn't nullify damage while absorbing attacks, so the user can still be injured by the initial attack. Endeavor referred to this Quirk as weak upon noticing that the Nomu was still damaged by his flames even after having released them.[2]
Trivia#
- This Quirk is similar to Stock, which allows the user to swallow attacks before releasing them again.
- It is also similar to the Reflect Quirks used by Tomura Shigaraki and Flect Turn, though acting more similar in function to Tomura's.
