Fat Gum vs. Criminal is a battle that features Fat Gum taking down a fleeing criminal charged with assault.
Prologue#
Shortly after arriving in Osaka, Koichi and Kazuho hear a commotion occurring in the shopping district. As the man responsible flees, Fat Gum shows up to the scene and chases the criminal down after purchasing a thirty-six pack of Takoyaki.
Battle#
The crook tries throwing a cargo basket at more exactly like it to make them fall, but this hardly creates an obstacle for the Hero. Fat Gum is close on the criminal's tail while also simultaneously enjoying his Takoyaki, telling the Villain to slow down so he can put him away.
The villain takes out a gun that he fires with, but Fat Gum throws his Takoyaki box in the air and blocks the bullet with the back of his hand thanks to Fat Absorption. Fat Gum grabs the criminal by the collar, disarming him and throwing his gun out of his hand.
With his free hand, the Hero prepares to give the Villain back what he gave him by flicking him, scaring the villain before Fat flicks him six times, bruising his cheeks. The criminal is confused because he only shot at him once, but Fat clarifies that this was for making him throw away his Takoyaki pack.
Before he can dish out any more pain, Koichi approaches from behind and reveals that he used Slide and Glide to catch all of the Takoyaki that the Hero hadn't eaten yet back in their original box. After staring at Koichi for a bit, Fat Gum puts the criminal down and apologizes for losing his cool. Fat takes out some of the treats for him to enjoy, but the villain is out cold and can't even respond. Not wanting to leave him empty handed, Fat takes out six Takoyaki balls to make up for his six flicks, and shoves them into his mouth, leaving the criminal with a burnt mouth and at the mercy of the police.
Aftermath#
Fat Gum walks with Koichi and Kazuho, asking if the two of them are visiting Osaka. When Koichi says they're trying to find S.S. Mall, Fat Gum almost says that he's heading there too, but backtracks when he realizes he shouldn't blow his cover. Instead he tells them to stay straight on their path and they'll make it to the mall. The Hero bids them adieu before meeting up with Naomasa Tsukauchi to help with the detective's undercover operation.[1]
Anime & Manga Differences#
- The anime extends the moment of Fat Gum sharing his Takoyaki with the unconscious criminal.
