Number 6 vs. Ikajiro Takobe is a fight between the Villain Factory's agent known as Number 6 and the Next-Level Villain Octoid.

Prologue#

After a tough fight against Koichi, Eraser Head, the Hotta Brothers and Kirihito managed to capture Octoid. However, a struggle between Kirihito and Octoid allows the Next-Level Villain get free and runs away, fleeing into an alley, being pursued by the others.

However, they are not the only ones that go after the Next-Level Villain, because the speedster villain also looks for Octoid to get a sample from him.[1]

Battle#

Following the trail of blood left by the Next-Level Villain in his escape, Number 6 encounters Octoid in an alley, who charges against him. However, Number 6 fires up his Overclock Quirk and dodges Octoid's punch, before countering all his arms with his Ultimate Move Instant Eight, delivering eight instant punches that knock Octoid down easily.

With Octoid defeated and unconscious on the ground, the villain takes out a syringe and extracts a fluidsample from his body, while commenting to himself that he loves easy jobs. Then Number 6 decides to leave so that Octoid can run loose again, while mocking the four who are chasing the Next Level Villain for how much they are struggling with his test subject.

When he was about to leave the alley, the battered Octoid regains consciousness, and uses his few remaining forces to throw a stone at the speedster villain. The projectile only causes a slight scratch on his face, but that greatly angers Number 6. After stepping on the arm he threw the rock, Number 6 coldly tells Octoid that he did himself the lightning bolt-shaped scar on his face as an homage to someone he admires, and he will not tolerate any other wound on his face might distract from his "cool, character-defining scar".

Number 6 kicks Octoid in the air and gropes him by the neck with one arm, asking him how he's going to fix this as the muscles in his arm swell and tear off the sleeve of his jumpsuit. He then throws Octoid forward and activates his Quirk before doing another rush of punches that beat the modified Villain into the ground. This time, he ups his punch count to ten, at the cost of the skin on his arms tearing up and gushing blood, as well as intense, aching pain.

Despite the brutal beating, he couldn't kill Octoid due to the limitations of his Overclock Quirk. Irritated by this, Number 6 fights through the pain and steps on Octoid again, telling him he stops for ten seconds to cool down before using his quirk again, and when he does, he will stomp his head again and again, like jack-hammer, until it is reduced into a pulp.

Number 6 begins the countdown, and just when he is about to fulfill his threat, Koichi and co. arrive at the place. Annoyed by their interrupcion and not wanting to get caught, Number 6 speeds off to the other end of the pathway.[1]

Aftermath#

The timely arrival of Koichi, Eraser Head and co. saves Octoid's life, who are surprised to see the Next-Level Villain badly wounded and wonder who was responsible. Koichi is sure he saw someone.[1]

Anime & Manga Differences#

  • In the anime, Number 6 says how he has to wait five seconds before he can accelerate again to kill Octoid, instead of ten seconds as in the manga.
