Kowtow Evasion is an Ultimate Move performed by Koichi Haimawari using the Slide and Glide Quirk.
Description#
Being a shy boy, Koichi usually prefers to avoid confrontation and bows to apologize to the person he has bothered. However, if this person decides to humiliate him by kicking or stepping on him, while he is still bowed, Koichi slides backwards with his Quirk to avoid the attack. Then, Koichi runs away as fast as possible.
It is first used to avoid Soga Kugisaki's kick.[1]
Trivia#
- Kowtow Evasion's name isn't mentioned by Koichi when he first uses it in the anime.
- In real life, Kowtow is the act of prostration, or kneeling and bowing low enough to have their head touching the ground. Also known as Dogenza in Japan, it is used for extreme apologies, asking big favors, or showing ultimate deference.
