Tenya Ida vs. Ibara Shiozaki is a battle fought between Class 1-A student Tenya Ida and the Class 1-B student Ibara Shiozaki during the U.A. Sports Festival's Fighting Tournament.
Battle#
Ibara starts the match by attacking from a distance with her vines. Tenya immediately activates his Recipro Burst technique and runs behind Ibara in a flash. He then grabs Ibara's shoulders and swiftly runs towards the edge and pushes her out of bounds.[1]
Aftermath#
Tenya is declared the winner and gains the right to advance to the semifinals, where he faces Shoto Todoroki.
Anime and Manga Differences#
- Tenya and Ibara's battle was only mentioned by Izuku in the manga.[2] The anime added a scene to showcase the battle before Izuku mentions it later on.
