Meta Liberation Army Arc#

Koku is present at the meeting of the Meta Liberation Army with his fellow executives. He informs Re-Destro that he has found someone who appears to be affiliated with the League of Villains and suggests making contact with them soon, which Re-Destro orders him to do at once.[1] The affiliate is revealed to be Giran, who is dragged into the room and interrogated by Re-Destro. After Re-Destro has gathered the information he needs, the executives are dispatched to prepare for the League of Villains' arrival.[2]

Koku and Curious are waiting at Deika City when Slidin' Go escorts the League of Villains there. Koku greets the League, explaining that 90% of Deika City's population, including the heroes, is made up of Liberation soldiers. He thanks them for coming so far to visit, declaring today to be a day of celebration and the League will be guests of honor. With that, Koku initiates the Revival Celebration and the soldiers begin their attack on the League. Koku tells them that if they're looking for Giran, he can be found in the tower behind them with the Supreme Leader, to which Twice angrily accuses him of reneging upon their agreement.[3]

After Curious is killed by Himiko Toga, Koku moves onto the battlefield in his campaign car and announces the details of her death to the Army. When asked what the Supreme Commander's response was, Koku relays Re-Destro's plea that Curious' sacrifice not be in vain, prompting a large group of soldiers to rush at Tomura.[4]

After Twice's clones help Tomura and Spinner get close to the tower, he once again gives a speech to the soldiers, inciting them to fight more vigorously. Spinner notices how every speech of his rallies people up, so he decides that he should take care of him.[5]

Sometime later, Spinner starts getting closer to Koku's van, while exclaiming that someone like him shouldn't be on the front lines. Koku ignores his comments and activates Sevens Loud, a Detnerat mask device, which amplifies the capabilities of his Quirk, Incite. That causes the soldiers to attack their enemies with even more fury and enthusiasm. Spinner evades them by using Gecko to climb on the nearby wall. Trumpet comments on how Spinner's behavior fits his Quirk perfectly, as he claims it is a pathetic one.

Koku and Spinner get distracted for a moment when the tower, in which Re-Destro was, collapses. Spinner gets ambushed by the soldiers, but Koku orders his followers to go help the Grand Commander, fearing for the latter's life. An injured Spinner then gives a speech about how he understands his life wasn't worth much up until he had seen Stain on television, which gave his life a new meaning. He admits he can't accomplish anything without help from others, but he sees nothing wrong in that, calling Trumpet to be no different than him, much to Koku's contempt.[6]

As Gigantomachia rages through Deika, Koku rushes towards the Grand Commander's location, with the intention of protecting him, unaware that Spinner clung to his van.[7] However, as he arrives at the scene, everything around him begins to decay, as a result of Tomura's liberation. After the dust settled, he orders the remaining MLA members to attack, however, much to his shock, his Incite is being nullified by Tomura's glare. Re-Destro then orders him and the rest of the Liberation Army to stand down, as any casualties now would be meaningless. He then surrenders the MLA to Tomura.[8]

One week after the Revival Celebration, Trumpet, along with Skeptic lead the recovering League members to a meeting in the Army's headquarter. When they arrive on stage, Re-Destro announces, that the Meta Liberation Army will merge with the League of Villains and form the Paranormal Liberation Front. Furthermore, nine members on stage, including all LoV members and the MLA's most prominent members (including Koku) will be the Front's nine lieutenants. After the speech, Koku is seen lingering on how Re-Destro is being docile towards Tomura.[9]

Endeavor Agency Arc#

He is attending a meeting of the Paranormal Liberation Front's lieutenants, during which he and his allies discuss the upcoming goal of the army that would take four months to put in motion.[10]

Paranormal Liberation War Arc#

When the PLF is divided into several regiments, Koku, along with Re-Destro isn't taking part in any of them.[11] By the time the Heroes start the raid, he and Re-Destro prepare to lecture their followers in the sanctuary below the Gunga Mountain Villa. However, one of the followers informs them that they are under attack and that every one of their communication escape routes barring the ones located at the mansion has been blocked.

Upon hearing this unexpected attack from the Heroes, Re-Destro's Stress levels start increasing, indicating his irritation towards them for finding his hideout.[12] When Tsukuyomi uses his Ragnarök to cut off the last escape route, Trumpet accompanies Re-Destro, as the latter retaliates against the heroes' attack. However, the prosthetic legs can't handle Re-Destro's weigh and crack, sending the villains flying back to the basement while cutting off their secret escape route.[13]

Afterwards, Re-Destro managed to escape after his spare legs arrived and after Tomura woke up, Gigantomachia headed for Jaku City. however, Trumpet and some other Liberation warriors didn't have any way out and were later arrested by the Heroes. Along Trumpet, Re-Destro, Geten and Slidin' Go, and 16,929 soldiers have also been arrested.[14]
