Extra Content from Volume 38.
Denki Kaminari#
Denki: Yo, this author's already done three high fantasy color spreads.
Shoowaysha Presents TWICEY AND TOGA and the Supplement#
When Twicey doubles something with his quirk, he needs to know some information about it.
When Toga wants to use Twicey's quirk, she just needs to drink a little bit of his blood in advance so she can turn into him and have that information.
And they all lived happily ever after and nothing bad ever happened.
La Brava#
The La Brava. Who's she, again? Check out volume 19 if that's what you're wondering. You don't even have to read the whole book again-just skim through and you'll be good. Probably. Since she hasn't shown up in the story for a while, I thought about giving her a frilly dress, but drawing that would've been a pain I abandoned that plan for various reasons.
La Brava: I can't wear this in the story? Just on this page, then!
Gentle and Lady Nagant#
The Gentle and Lady Nagant. If you're like, "Who are these people?" then check out volumes 19 and 32, respectively. Skim through for a quick recap!
Tomura Shigaraki#
His hands already regenerated. The battle against Star and Stripe actually left his hyper-regen Quirk damaged and weakened, so he had to suck out a new copy of the Quirk from a Near High-End. Now he's back to regenerating as well as ever.
Glamour-styled Camie and Hawks#
Since I use a mapping pen to draw, I thought I'd have an affinity for a more typical shojo manga style. I was wrong.
Hair done with especially fine lines
Little blobs of ink at corners of mouth. Plump lips.
Hawks: Birds are technically dinosaurs, which makes me a dino. I'll gobble you up, rawr!
Camie: Ohh, Takami!
Young Fumikage and Dark Shadow#
Fumikage and Shadow's First Big Snowfall!
Hitoshi Shinso#
Shinso's hair is tricky to draw.
Acidman Alma#
A sketch of Acidman: ALMA. Looks powerful!
Leaves in the Wind#
Death Arms#
Remember Desutegoro? He's one of the longest- running characters, having appeared back in chapter 1. The scene in this chapter where he protects some civilians from falling rubble is actually an homage to an original scene from episode 1 of the anime.
I never had a moment like that in the manga, but when I saw it play out in the anime, I thought, "Now I've got to have him do that in the manga." Thanks for making it happen, Desutegoro.
Hercules#
All Might's car and attaché case first showed up in volume 32. That's a big gap, from setup to payoff.
The Contribution#
We've got another piece of art from Akiyama Sensei, author of the Team-Up Missions spin-off series · What a delight ·
I love it, every time.
I think of Team-Up Missions as "MHA without blood," "True Hero Academia," or "My Hero Academia the way it was meant to be," and volume 5 of the spin-off comes out (in Japan) at the same time as this book.
I wonder who Akiyama Sensei drew for us this time?! Turn the page to find out ·
Kyoka: Odds are it's La Brava, but omigosh, what if it's me? I guess I'd be cool with that.
