Extra Content from Volume 13 (Vigilantes).
Anonymous#
The mob of villains are sort of the culmination of what good villains in Vigilantes have to be. First, they operate off All Might's radar, and second, that means the people already on the scene have to cope with them somehow.
-Furuhashi
In a way that's appropriate for these interchangeable guys, I let my mind go blank and work in silence while drawing them. But the fact that my mind goes blank doesn't make me a Nomu (literally: brain absent).

Jeanist's Day Off#
I love thinking up minor Jeanist-related content. Whatever he happens to be doing, he's always cool and kind of funny. But a key element of the character is that he remains super serious about everything.
-Furuhashi
I can never seem to get the balance quite right when drawing Jeanist, so I've taken to shortening his neck--oof! (LOL)

Aizawa Sensei#
He's been through a lot, and while ol' Aizawa was kind of careless and apathetic during his Naruhara days, he's got his act together more now that he's a teacher... That was the vibe I was going for when writing the scene where he sends Koichi off to do his duty.
-Furuhashi
Even after 100 chapters, Aizawa Sensei is still pretty hard to draw. Hmm...

Soga the Vigilante#
Soga's probably done the most growing as a person out of everyone in this story. Koichi will always be an airhead, but Soga uses his vigilantism as a way to come to terms with his own ideals and past sins.
-Furuhashi
From the very start, I subconsciously pictured Soga's hair as red, but when it came time to produce a full-colour drawing of him, the red hair made him look too much like a carbon copy of Kirishima. So I hastily changed his hair color at the last minute... (Yikes, huh!)

The Faceless Man#
Whenever I'm writing the character of Rock, a.k.a Number 6, I never want to really nail down his true form. I make a point of having him exude this almost yokai-esque, intangible creepiness. He flaunts his lack of an identity while really just seeking recognition and acceptance. Truly a walking paradox.
-Furuhashi
Weirdly, I like faceless Rock. He's fun to draw.

Koichi's Attacks#
For this chapter, at first I wasn't sure whether to have Koichi use Shooty-Go-Blam (standard version) or Shooty-Go-Kablam (high-velocity, piercing version), but I realized that Koichi would never purposely shoot a bunch of what are basically bullets into someone's face, so I settled on Shooty-Go-Blam (max power version). Each of those shots is about as strong as a no-holds barred punch, but Pop would probably still get mad about that.
-Furuhashi
When this chapter was released, a lot of people saw Koichi zipping around in a kowtow position and thought that he was responsible for smacking off Rock's leg... But no - Rock blew up his own right leg (I should've drawn that in a less confusing way...)

All Might's Dispatches#
All Might: I... couldn't possibly accept any more gifts...
Civilian 1: Thank you, All Might! Please, take this!
Civilian 2: This too!
Rice
Fish
Veggies
Top-shelf sake
Having All Might get caught up in a variety of incidents at Japanese cultural events is mainly a way of showing that he's always zipping around the entire country, solving problems. I'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel with these gags soon enough.
-Furuhashi
All I could think was how the waitstaff at the cafe must wonder where this guy's always running off to without eating what he ordered. (LOL)
