Tamao is a young student of Masegaki Primary School and aspiring hero from My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.[1]
Appearance#
Tamao is a young girl with short, light-colored hair. She has large eyes and cheeks, and her hair stands up from the back of her head, giving her an appearance similar to a tadpole. She wears a too-big shirt with black shorts and running shoes.
Personality#
Tamao is an energetic and relatively fearless girl, though she has a noted fear of snakes. She seems to not have much respect for authority, or is at least willing to ignore authority when it suits her, as indicated by her sneaking away from her class despite her teacher's warning not to.
She aims to become a Pro Hero, but disliked her Quirk, to the point that she held out hope of developing a new Quirk through training. However, after meeting Froppy, she appears to have become more self-confident and content with the Quirk she has.
Synopsis#
Tamao went on a trip to Takoba National Stadium with her school to watch various Hero students do a training exercise.
While Tamao and her friends watched, they discussed becoming heroes themselves, and Tamao mentioned wanting to develop a stronger, more combat-oriented Quirk than her Tree Frog. Another student asked the teacher if they could try the course, and though he refused, Tamao snuck away anyways.
She successfully snuck into the heroes' arena as Gale Force created a small tornado, throwing Froppy across the arena and placing her near the edge. Tamao therefore ran into the hero student quickly, but got disappointed upon learning she also had a frog-based Quirk. Wanting to find more exciting heroes, Tamao tried to go further into the field, accidentally stepping onto loose ground and nearly falling into a hole; however, she was caught by Froppy's tongue. Despite this, she remained unimpressed, since she expected a frog Quirk to have tongue-based abilities.
As the two girls traveled through the arena, Tamao became more and more impressed with Froppy's abilities, witnessing her super jump, wall-sticking, swimming proficiency, and camouflage. Impressed by Froppy's abilities, Tamao decided she wanted to be like Froppy. As she thought this, she suddenly saw a snake approaching them and became paralyzed with fear, convinced that not even Froppy could defeat a snake due to her frog nature. In reality, however, the snake was just Froppy's friend Habuko Mongoose, further shocking Tamao.
Once she got over her fear, Tamao realized that frog-based Quirks could be better than she initially thought, and announced that she wanted to grow up more frog-like to be like Froppy. She warned Tamao that it took a lot of work for her to get to that point, and Tamao resolved to work hard with the Quirk she's got.

Tree Frog: Tamao's Quirk gives her a longer tongue, though by her own admission it's "only sorta long". She also possesses other frog-like features, though it's unclear how influenced they are by her Quirk.
