Kota Izumi#
Shino is Kota's aunt, being the sister of one of the Waterhose hero duo. As his aunt, Shino loves Kota. She takes care of him since she is the only relative that Kota has left since the death of his parents at the hands of the villain Muscular. Due to this tragedy, Kota became a reserved, cold, and grumpy misanthrope who hates heroes in general. Shino understands his feelings, but tries to comfort Kota and explain that someday, he will understand why his parents died.[1]
After Kota is saved by Izuku, the relationship of the two improves. Shino realizes that Kota has started to admire Izuku as his Hero.[2] Shino is quite aware of Kota's mental and emotional state and does her best to console him, playing the role of a loving foster-mother to him.
Pro Heroes#
Wild, Wild Pussycats#
Shino has an excellent relationship with her teammates, being really close friends, outside of their work as heroes. In fact, they have been a team for 12 years. They know how to work as a team using their Quirks for rescue missions and combat, and support each other in difficult situations. This is clearly seen after Tomoko Shiretoko loses her Search Quirk at the hands of All For One. Shino, along with Yawara Chatora and Ryuko Tsuchikawa, comforts Tomoko when she discovers she no longer has powers, thus losing her Pro Hero status.[3] Thanks to their support, Tomoko eventually gets over it, and regains most of her energy.[4]
