Family#
Eddie Soul#
At first, Rody loved his father Eddie, although these feelings were fraught with tribulations due to Humarise. Since his wife passed away, Eddie has tried to take the best possible care of his three children. Due to his work as an engineer, his father had to be absent many times, but whenever he could he spent all the time with them. Eddie was always grateful to Rody for taking care of his siblings when he couldn't, and as a thank you gift, he gave him a puzzle containing a locket necklace.
Everything changed when Eddie apparently left him and his brothers to join Humarise, with his children carrying the stigma that came with it; being ostracized by the community and being kicked out of school and their home. Rody deeply hated his father for this, breaking the locket that he gave him. Over time, Rody got over his resentment to focus on looking after his siblings.
In the end however, Rody discovered the truth. His father was kidnapped by Humarise and forced to create the Trigger Bombs to protect his children, and later sacrificed his life to create a countermeasure for the deadly weapons. He couldn't help but be sad to learn of his death, but the admiration and affection Rody felt for his father was rebuilt, knowing that he never stopped loving him and his siblings, and that he was protecting them until the very end.[1]
Roro and Lala Soul#
For Rody, his younger siblings Roro and Lala are the most important thing in the world. Since he was a child he always helped take care of them, and when his father disappeared and the community ostracized them, he promised them he would always be with them no matter what.
Despite the difficult situation in which they lived in, Rody always tries to make his siblings as happy as possible, and to provide for them, he had to give up his own dreams and accept all kinds of shady jobs. To cheer himself up, Rody always keeps a photograph where the three of them appear in a happy moment.
When he was involved in the matter of Humarise's briefcase, Rody did not stop worrying about Roro and Lala at all times, wanting to get back to them as soon as possible. This would lead him to the point of even betraying Izuku to get rid of the briefcase, and when he discovered Humarise's plan to exterminate the Quirk users, his first concern was his siblings, doing what he could to prevent it.
Once the crisis is over, Rody was finally able to return to Roro and Lala, working even harder for them to have a good life since they are no longer outcast from society.[1]
U.A. High School#
Izuku Midoriya#
At first, Rody disliked Izuku, on the one hand because he was a street urchin who engaged in criminal activities while Izuku was a hero, and on the other hand because he had a rather negative opinion of heroes in general. He met him when he participated in a jewelry store robbery, being tirelessly chased by him when he fled with the stolen jewelry. But when he accidentally got mixed up with Humarise's plans, his opinion of him and heroes began to change for the better.
When they were on the run from the police and Humarise's agents, Izuku helped and saved him numerous times, ignoring the fact that he was a criminal. Even when Rody betrayed him so the villains would stop chasing him, Izuku held no grudge against him, and even risked his own life to save his.
Izuku's way of being and acting collided with Rody's way of thinking and mentality, reaching a point where he asked why him, who is a hero, would risk his life to help a petty thief like him. Izuku replied that he was always willing to save anyone regardless of who they were. Izuku's kindness and moral values made Rody reconsider his own way of life, emerging a great friendship between the two, and making Rody more open with Izuku, fully trusting him during the rest of the mission. At one point, Rody would even tell Izuku what his Quirk is, which he felt a bit embarrassed about.
After Humarise's defeat, and spending time in the hospital, Rody went to say goodbye to Izuku at the airport. Although he tried to seem happy to get rid of him, deep down, Rody would really miss Izuku a lot, and would like to see him again.
Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki#
Rody met Izuku's classmates after they saved him when he and Izuku were attacked by Beros and Sidero, defeating the villains. Rody didn't have too many interactions with Shoto and Katsuki, but he is truly grateful to them for saving his life, and especially for helping to stop Humarise members from carrying out their terrorist attacks that would have caused the demise of his little siblings.
Villains#
Flect Turn#
Rody despises Flect Turn, leader of Humarise. He used to have a low opinion of the anti-Quirks cult, especially for making his father abandon him and his siblings to join them, despite the reputation of him as a terrorist group and his anti-Quirks ideology.
Everything took on a much more personal turn when he discovered that his father had actually been kidnapped by them to force him to create the Trigger Bombs, and eventually killed him when he helped create a kill code to shut down the whole operation. After this, he did everything possible to take the cult down.
When he came face to face with Flect Turn, while pretending to help him in his plans, he was genuinely upset when Flect hinted that his father Eddie was of great help to achieve his goals, reminding the villain that he made him do it under the threat of killing his family; and as soon as he could, he deceived him to give Izuku the opportunity to attack him, begging his friend to kick the villain's butt.
Others#
Stanleyk#
Stanleyk is Rody's contact in the underworld for all kinds of shady jobs. There is a certain mutual disdain, with Stanleyk sometimes giving him low-paying assignments, and Rody sometimes taking small paybacks on him for it, like stealing his bike. Despite this, there is also a certain level of mutual trust and care between the two.
One notable factor was that Rody requested Stanleyk to tell Roro and Lala that he wouldn't be home until late after being framed as Izuku's accomplice and being forced to go on the run. Given Rody's protectiveness towards his younger siblings, this shows that he does trust him, although Stanleyk would refuse to accept the request because his contacts didn't get the stolen jewelry that Rody was hired to deliver.
After Humarise was defeated and Rody decided to change his life for the better, he asked Stanleyk for a new but respectable job, and he didn't hesitate to hire him as a waiter in his bar, a job that allows Rody to earn enough money to provide for him and his siblings.
